Dad! Levi: your son hitting new milestones
First Laugh
Levi might be a stoic man, but he nearly bursted into tears when his son giggled at him for the first time. Levi wasn’t even doing anything silly, just talking to him like he always does. So when he hears that adorable laugh he’s couldn’t handle it. Immediately looked for you to show you. You definitely couldn’t keep the emotions in. Both of you were obsessed with making him laugh now.
First time sitting up
One day you went to check on your baby after a nap and he’s just…sitting up in his crib. No help at all. Smiling big at you when he sees you. You made a whole big show “Well look at you! Sitting up like a big boy!” Levi walks in after hearing you cheering and clapping gently and sees your son just sitting up. He laughs to himself at how this is something that impresses him now.
First time crawling
This is when Levi started to get nervous. Your son was quite speedy crawling around. You turn your back for one second and he’s gone. Certainly giving Levi some exercise for that knee. Maybe a little too much. God help you when he starts pulling himself up by things. Levi has your son boxed in usually by setting a perimeter around him. Now he can crawl all he wants without disappearing. Although your son is not a fan at the restriction. “Too bad, brat” Levi would say at his whining when he can’t go further.
First steps
Now this really has Levi sweating. As much as Levi believes pain can teach you to avoid doing dumb things again he really can’t handle when your soon trips and falls, narrowly missing the corner of the coffee table. He does enjoy going outside and watching him walk. You’re both behind your son watching his every move, finding it amusing how he gets distracted by just anything. A rock, a stick, a frog, which he tries to pick up but you stop him. When he learns to run you find yourself out of breath more often trying to stop him from running straight into a pond. “Outta keep him on a leash” Levi gets close to his sons face “Trouble maker” and your son simply just laughs in his face as if he understood what Levi means.

Levi working out but there is a little twist, his little one is strapped to his chest as he does pull-ups, the baby giggles at the movement. "Papa struggling is funny to you huh?" He says as he keeps working out. He could have easily left his baby with someone else but he really didn't want to. Levi gets down to take a short break, sweating from all the exercise and the plus weight from his child. The baby kicks its little feet, smiling at the mirror. "Look that's you and papa."
Little chubby hands reach out to the mirror and Levi walks closer letting the baby touch the glass. His eyes follow the features he shares with his child, the hair, the eyes, cheeks...his little mini-me. Levi's expression goes soft when his baby starts to babble. "Dada! Bo Bo abo!" Even if he had no idea what was said, he still talked to his baby like he perfectly understood. "Yes, you do look like your dada don't you?" Levi kisses the back of the baby's head softly before taking some weights. "Now watch you little rascal, maybe you'll find this next workout even funnier."

“Daaa-ddy.”
Levi startles, looking up. The little girl stood before him, all wide eyes and beaming at him.
“Yes? Shouldn’t you be at school?”
She shrugs, then thrusts out a hair brush and a set of scrunchies. “Do my hair today!” She grins.
Levi is taken aback slightly, not at all expecting such a request. It’s not that he had a bad relationship with his daughter really, if anything Levi spends every second that he can spare with her. But even so, it was so sudden and specific, not to mention she has never asked him to do it before. It was you who helped her get ready.
“Doesn’t mommy usually do that?” He asks slowly. “Is she busy?”
She shakes her head quickly. “I just want you to do it today.” She smiles, holding the brush out to him, waiting for him to take it.
Levi glances at it then looks back up. How could he say no to that?
So, without a word, he motions her to turn around which she follows happily, pulling a stool nearby to sit between Levi’s legs. Levi takes the brush, though slightly hard to hold without his missing fingers, he manages, combing through the black silky strands.
Like his.
Though, his own hair was stranded with gray now, a sign of the long years he had lived. Even Ackermans don’t stay young forever.
But it’s still so strange to him, having her here, right in front of him. He still freezes a little when she smiles at him, watching her with awe. She looked almost exactly identical to him, starting from the shape of her face to the color of her eyes, just the exact shade of the silvery blue that his own eyes hold. But there was a brightness in those eyes that Levi doesn't think he ever had. She was like this little ball of sunshine, always so bright.
And her smile, that came from you.
She was his. Yours. Theirs.
A part of him and a part of you. A whole other human being. A child. A blessing.
It was the hardest at thr beginning. For him to get used to it. Despite the 9 months of pregnancy, it was when he first held her that the realization finally hit him. That she was his daughter. His.
And the moment his eyes locked with the newborn, he knew he was doomed.
That there was nothing he wouldn’t do for this small, small, absolutely tiny person that came to earth no more than half an hour ago. That he had just met.
It was crazy how it only took him only a moment for him to swear his life for her, to become so protective. It was actually ridiculous, how he felt anxious even when it was the nurses holding her, he’d been so rigid, so poised. Even when handing her over to someone else’s arms, he had his hand outstretched because just in case. It took a shit load of convincing from you for him to let Jean and Connie hold her.
It was crazier watching her grow up. Never had he felt this ridiculous amount of pure joy and excitement ever. Only to hear her first words, to watch her take her first steps, holding his hand. He swears it was only yesterday.
His chain of thought was cut off as she started to happily chatter about things. Unlike Levi, she talks. A lot. Levi doesn’t mind, he listens quietly. Every once in a while, inserting a comment.
“I’ve read about you. In the history books. Our teacher taught us.”
“Yeah?” He mumbles, brushing softly. “What’d you learn?”
“They called you humanity’s strongest.” She stumbles on the word a little, which was a bit heavy for her usual vocabulary. She turns around to look at him with awe and wonder, wide eyes asking for confirmation. “That’s so cool!”
He only lets out a small hum in response.
"Will I be as strong as you one day?"
"Sure. You already are." He hopes she never needs to be.
“I saw your picture too. And mommy’s. Also, Uncle Connie used to be bald back then.” She finishes with a giggle, the idea of Connie’s lack of hair amusing her. “You were like a superhero, weren’t you daddy?”
“I wouldn’t shoot that far.” He answers with a small smile.
Back then, Levi had never imagined the idea of having a family. There, caged between the walls, surrounded by those tremendous monsters. When there was no guarantee that you’d come back alive once you’re out there. How could he even think of bringing a child to the world, if he couldn’t even do the least that is to promise their safety?
But now, here she runs and plays outside, without a worry in the world, tirelessly. She doesn’t have to starve like Levi had to, she grows up with only all the good the world has to offer. She doesn’t know the worst of how things could be and Levi hopes she never does. She doesn’t yet understand the role Levi and you had played in creating this world, but she does understand the value of it. She asks questions sometimes, about the wheelchair and the eye and the hand. About your scars and why somedays you can't get yourself from bed. He doesn’t answer. He doesn’t know how to answer. And Levi knows, one day, he’ll have to tell her all of it, life back then and the life he had. But for now, he prays, let her grow up with only love and pureness. Let her see the world in her rose colored glasses. Something he never got to do.
She taps Levi’s leg as he bunches the hair to tie a ponytail. “Do braids.” She says.
“Braids? Don’t you always wear a ponytail?” Levi asks.
“Yes, but,” She tries to explain, stumbling for words. “Tash always pulls by it.”
Tash was one of her classmates, Levi knew from her frustrated rants about him. From what he could gather, neither liked each other much. “Next time he bothers you, you do the thing that I taught you.” He tells her.
“The thing with my hands?” She asked brightly, balling her hands to show him.
“Hey, no beating up kids at school. Levi!” You appear in the doorway, only catching the last bit of the conversation. “Don’t give her ideas. And you,” You look at your daughter who was smiling smugly. “I’ve been looking for you–wait, is Levi doing your hair?” You say, finally noticing and very surprised.
‘Yes!” She replies excitedly, “He’s doing braids! He’s very slow though.”
Levi playfully pats her head. “It’s because you keep moving.” He sighs. “Must you need braids? I’m not sure if I can–”
“Yes.”
Levi was about to say something else until she turned around, giving him the most adorable pout ever, eyes all round and needy, her brows pinched together. “Please?” She asks sweetly.
Well damn.
Levi tries, he really tries. But the word no somehow managed to disappear from his vocabulary, along with all of its synonyms. So he sighs, nodding.
“Levi, I can–” You start.
“It’s okay.” He puts up a hand, stopping you. He doesn’t know much about the process, but he’s spent enough time watching you do her hair. So he thinks he can manage it. “I can do it. Probably.” He says uncertainty.
It was slightly difficult to manage multiple sections of hair when you’re missing two fingers, but even surprising himself, he does manage it, after a few attempts. A little uneven, but works.
"Happy?" He asks her, patting her head.
It was good enough for the girl, who jumped up right after it was finished and cheered happily as an answer to Levi. She jumps to his arms, pulling him by the neck to plant a big smooch in his cheek.
“You're the best.” She beams at him, then running off to grab her bag which was by the door.
“Wow, mommy’s nonexistent now?” You fold your arms in mock offense.
She doesn’t answer, only picks up her bag and runs to hug you full speed, wrapping herself around your knees. “I love you.” She calls out, then turns to Levi. “And I love you too! I'm leaving now!”
Then she was out the door before you could say I love you back.
“Don’t run, you’ll fall.” Levi calls out to her, who was already far out of hearing range.
You closed the door. Then leaned against it, staring at Levi.
Levi looked away, cheeks heating up slightly, noticing the strange way you were staring at him, already knowing what comes after.
“So.” You said.
“So, what?” He said, glancing at you.
“Where'd you learn how to do braids?"
He huffs. "From you. I watched you do it.''
"Really?' It was so cute you could melt.
“Stop looking at me like that.” He grunts. “She’s my girl. I can do her hair sometimes, it’s not that big of a deal.”
“So, I’m not your girl?” You pout, exactly the same expression your daughter made just moments ago. “How come I don't I get braids?”
“I–” Levi starts, then huffing frustratedly. He can’t even say no to his daughter, who was he to say no to the mother? He tries nevertheless.
“I’m not doing it. Stop looking at me like that.”
You did not look away, pouting out your lips more.
“I won’t.”
You blinked, turning your expression sadder.
Levi gives up.
“C’mere.” He sighs.

So I lost count of the late night thoughts #?? but here's a late night thought (fluffy dad Levi):
You came out from a long warm bath. You felt reborn after cleaning every inch of your skin and deep moisturized. Although Levi was offering the greatest help he could after you gave birth to your daughter, but this was the bath that made you felt really good about yourself again.
You hair had been dried, you face was smelling like your favourite flower from the serum Levi got for you on your anniversary. You changed into clean pyjamas and you didn't hear your baby crying outside. This was your dream night.
You walked into your bedroom, finding Levi shirtless, laying on his side with the blanket draped over his body. Grinning to yourself, you tiptoed toward your husband.
"Levi?" you whispered, "has the baby slept?"
Levi turned over slightly, and nodded, "she's sound asleep."
"You put her back to the baby room?" you asked.
Levi's eyes darted to the side, "oh that... she's asleep now."
"Levi.." you lifted the blanket. Your baby was sleeping peacefully on her back, and her fat little fingers grasping a tiny blanket that Kuchel made for her. A pink pacifier moved gently between her rosy chubby cheeks as she breathed.
You looked at Levi, lifting your eyebrows. Levi gave you a guilty smile.
"She is too young to sleep alone. She needs her dada." Levi tried to pull the blanket over your baby.
You let go of the blanket and rested your fist on your hip. "But we agreed to let the baby sleep alone so we can have our time alone. We set up the baby room and bought a baby monitor for this."
Levi curled toward your sleeping baby, being very protective of his little princess. "Just for tonight, Y/n. Baby said she wants to sleep with dada tonight."
"Baby is 6months old. Baby can't talk yet, Levi."
"Yes, she can," Levi leaned in and kissed the baby's forehead. She had the shade dark shade of hair like Levi's. "It's dada-and-daughter's secret code. You wouldn't get it."
You both giggled.
"So where do I sleep?" You asked.
"Make me the happiest man on earth, Y/n," Levi gently pushed the baby to the side, "let me be surrounded by two girls tonight."
You laughed out loud. Levi shushed you, "you'll wake the baby!" He hushed.
You agreed, kissed his forehead, and went around the house switching off the lights and made sure the doors and windows were locked. You slid into the bed and Levi turned onto his back. You shared a kiss.
"So how does it feel to have two girls sleeping by your side?" You teased him.
"Like I have the world in my arms." Levi opened his arm for you, and you scooched into his arm. Your arms on his chest, your head on his bicep.
The night was perfect.

What if you and Levi rescued a baby on a scouting mission?
You're in a village taking out some titans, most people got eaten, some ran away. After you take out all the titans, you and the squad are searching for any survivors and you hear crying coming from one of the houses. You look around to see if you can spot Levi anywhere to call him over but you can't, he must be somewhere else. You go into the house to get the baby but you see someone already beat you to it. And that someone was Levi.
He was holding the tiny human in his hands and rocking it in an attempt to calm it down but it wasn't working. His brows furrowed in concentration as he tries to figure out how to calm the baby down. You watch in silence before saying anything. The scene is so precious.
You quietly approach him and place your hand on his back to let him know you're there. "Hey." He turns to look at you, he's frustrated that he can't get the baby to stop crying but he also can't be mad at it. He can't Imagine what it could've witnessed, the loud noises of the titans, the screams. "Need help?" You ask him. He looks at you then back at the baby before he grunts. "Yeah", he does need help. You scoop the little thing in your arms and hold it close to your chest, you sway a little from side to side and start humming softly. Once the baby picks up that it's not in danger it starts to calm down and the screaming ceases.
Levi is in awe. He didn't know you were good with kids. He had been struggling with it for so long and the second you took it in your arms it calmed down. He quickly snapped out of it though, he knows neither of you have time to take care of a child. "The kid counts as a survivor, we have to take it back. We can drop it off at one of the shelters." You agree. As much as you want to stay with it a little longer, you still have a job to do.
You were down for the rest of the day after handing over the kid. "How did you get attached to it so quickly." He said it more as a matter of fact way instead of a question. "What?" You reply, you'd been out of it, only thinking about what must have happened to the kids family and its well being. Levi is no fool, hes well aware that you were upset because you had to let go of the kid so quickly. "Come on." He says with a sigh. He doesn't wait for an answer and stands by the door of your shared room. You raise an eyebrow. What is he doing? "Do you want to see the kid or not?" You excitedly get up from the bed and follow him out.
The walk to the shelter is silent, but he can tell by the look on your face that you're happy. The corner of his mouth curls up slightly into a smile. He's glad you're happy.
You hold the little baby in your arms as you play with it on a chair. Levi is leaning on the wall next to you, watching silently. You look so at peace and happy with the kid. At one point you get up and tell him to play with it while you go to the bathroom. He does as he's told, taking the little one in his arms and trying to keep it entertained while you're gone. He doesn't really know what to do so the baby ends up getting bored and falls asleep. The sun was setting and he realized how tired he was. It wouldnt hurt to rest his eyes for a bit. It was just him and the kid anyway. He sat down on the chair and closed his eyes as he waited for you to come back. You return shortly after, adjusting your clothing as you walked not quite realizing what was going on before you. "Sorry I took so long, I couldn't find the..." you trailed off when your eyes landed on him. His head was hanging slightly forward and the baby's head was resting on his chest. He looked so peaceful, it was adorable. "Mm..." He grumbled as he opened his eyes. He looked up at you squinting, taking a second for his vision to adjust. "Ready to go home?" You ask him as you take the baby. "Yeah." Maybe it won't be so bad come visit the kid every once in a while, he though.
That was until he got home and realized it had drooled all over his uniform while it was sleeping.

Early spring
Tags: Fluff, pregnancy, Levi Ackerman, Levi × reader, fem reader.
The morning mist swirled lazily through the training fields, clinging to the dewy grass and the stables like a ghostly veil. The morning drills were going smoothly, with the cadets executing their maneuvers with precision and discipline.
The rumor mill had been working overtime, spinning tales of how you had both met, how you had fallen in love in the underground, and how you had both managed to keep the relationship a secret all these years. Some claimed you both eloped, others that you'd run away from home. Despite what may or may not be true, one thing was certain: Your relationship was a popular topic amongst gossiping teens and bored soldiers of the scouting headquarters.
As you walked by the training grounds greeting the cadets politely, the group exchanged knowing glances, Armin knew they were all thinking the same thing. It was obvious that you were pregnant, and it was even clearer that their captain was the father. The news had been spreading through the headquarters like wildfire, and even though they knew it was a private matter, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity about it.
Your pregnant belly, rounder and fuller by the day, strained against the fabric of your uniform, betraying the secret that you were trying to keep. But for your part you seemed to be taking it all in your stride, your cheeks flushed with embarrassment at all the attention but even still, a small smirk played at the corners of your lips now that the cat was out of the bag. And Levi, his expression was unreadable as usual. But there was a softness to his eyes when he looked at you that spoke volumes. It was clear that he was overjoyed at the news, even if he wasn't the sort to show it openly.
Sasha furrowed her brow. Based on her numerous siblings, she was no stranger to the topic of pregnancy and babies. "It's hard to say for sure," she paused thoughtfully. "but based on how she's been acting and how big her belly is getting, I'd guess she's at least four months along." Armin nodded in agreement, "Captain Levi has been even more protective and attentive towards y/n lately too."
Ymir spoke up, her voice tinged with amusement. "Well, boys and girls," she drawled, "I guess we all owe Ymir a drink for predicting this. I called it months ago that y/n would be knocked up by the end of the year."
There were a few snickers groans and chuckles around the group. Even though she was usually pretty outspoken, no one could deny that she was spot-on with this prediction.
As they continued to talk, the topic eventually turned to the future. Armin wondered how you and the Captain would balance your duties in the regiment with raising a child. Krista pointed out that the baby would probably be the cutest thing in the world once it was born. Mikasa agreed, adding that a baby was a wonderful thing. Even though there were still questions and concerns, there was an undercurrent of excitement and anticipation in the air.
Levi, always the picture of stoicism, suddenly appeared, snapping the group to attention. His eyes scanned the assembled group, his expression unreadable. When he finally spoke, his voice was steady and commanding. "Keep your eyes on the target, keep your minds sharp, and keep up with the training."
The group remained uncharacteristically silent. His piercing gaze continued to sweep across their faces, his expression unreadable as ever. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally spoke again. "Is there something that's distracting you?." They knew that he wouldn't address the elephant in the room unless he was asked. A hush fell over the group as Connie ventured the question. "... When's the baby due, captain?" There was a collective holding of breath while waiting for his answer. Fear behind their eyes at Connies stupid question that was bound to get them assigned the worst chores for the rest of the month. Levi didn't seem fazed by the question in the slightest, and his expression remained unreadable. "We're not entirely sure yet, but we're thinking early spring." Levi calmly replied, and if they weren't mistaken, a hint of affection was present in his voice. The cadets exchanged glances again, a mixture of joy, surprise, and relief.
He paused, then added, "But for now, focus on training, brats."
They quickly resumed their training. And through the remainder of the day, whispers continued to circulate about the impending arrival of yours and the Captains baby. Some speculated about the baby's gender, while others discussed the potential names they thought would suit.
Later that day, you knock softly on the captains office door, waiting for permission to enter. Once you do, Levi looks up from his desk, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips upon seeing you. "You handled that well, love," you tell him, your voice quiet but sincere.
"Well, we've certainly got everyone talking," he said, gesturing for you to come over. You smiled playfully, taking a seat on his lap. "Well," you pause. "It's one thing to keep our relationship a secret from everyone, but it's another thing entirely to try to keep a pregnancy under wraps for nine months." You chuckle. "But we gave it a shot. I think four months is pretty impressive." Levi chuckles softly, reaching out to take your hand in his. His thumb traced gentle circles on the back of your hand. He leaned back in his chair, his gaze never leaving your face, his other hand wrapping around your waist and resting gently on the bump beneath your uniform. "We'll have to try harder next time."

Lilly giggled as she sat on her father's lap and he wheeled his chair down the town path. It was a father-daughter outing while you were at home with your one-month-old son. Going out with her father was so much fun, but she did miss you and her brother Evan.
Levi came to a stop and watched a confrontation happening. He gave his daughter a hug and knew very well that he might have to get involved, but it would cause a lot of pain in his knee. Using his leg to stop people fighting and help people would likely result in three days of using the chair all day.
The fight was getting worse and Levi had to step in before a poor kid was going to get hurt. He lifted his daughter and sat her on his chair. "Wait there for daddy, okay?"
She nodded. "Okay." She watched in awe as Levi limped over to the two men fighting with a small kid in the middle. "Wow!" Seeing her father scoop up the kid, before leaning on his bad leg and using his good one to kick the drunk abusive man shocked her. The man flew and smashed right through a wooden wall. "Daddy!"
Levi handed the kid over to his father before accepting gifts from the shop owner. The drunken man was a regular pest and it was likely he wouldn't be trouble again because Levi Ackerman stopped him. Once Levi had everything he returned to his daughter and handed her the gifts. He picked her up and sat with a groan in his chair.
Lilly gazed at her dad as he wheeled them out of town. "Daddy?"
Levi smiled at her. "Mm?"
"You kicked that man super hard!"
Levi blushed a little. "I did. You shouldn't do things like that, okay? It's dangerous." He moved his chair back to the house. "Daddy used to fight a lot when he was younger, but he shouldn't now."
Lilly hummed. "You did it to save people."
He gazed at his daughter. "Did your mummy tell you that?"
"Yes." She giggled when she remembered the fun stories about Levi you told, of course you'd tamed it for a little girl. "You're so cool, daddy."
"Thank you."
You hurried out of the house with a smile on your face. "Welcome home you two! How was your outing?"
Lilly slipped off Levi's lap. "Daddy kicked a guy super hard!"
You rushed over to Levi, knelt before him and checked his knee out. "Is your knee okay?"
Levi placed his hand on yours. "It'll be fine. How are you and Evan?"
"We're well. We missed you both."
Lilly stood next to you. "Daddy saved a kid."
You smiled at her. "Your daddy is amazing. He saved so many people from big scary monsters. He flew through the air. He was impressive to watch."
Lilly gasped. "Daddy is a superhero!"
Levi's eyes widened. "Super...I...I'm not..." He saw how much his daughter was grinning, how happy and excited she was. No matter how many dark feelings Levi had about his work in the past, he didn't want to beat himself up in front of his precious daughter. He wanted her to have confidence. "Yeah, that's right."
She bounced up and down. "So cool! My daddy is a superhero!"
You leaned up and kissed Levi. "My superhero too." You wiped his tears away. "Maybe this is what you needed to hear all along, an innocent person's view of you. You're more amazing than you think, Levi."
He whined a little. "This..." He smiled softly. "Thank you, both of you." He picked up Lilly and hugged her tightly. "I love you."
Lilly hugged Levi. "Love you daddy."
You stood up and winked. "Love you always, handsome." You walked inside and picked up your son, before returning to Levi. "This little man loves you too."
Levi smiled when he saw his baby boy. "I love him too."
Lilly giggled. "Daddy is a superhero to Evan too! Daddy is the best!"

Twinkling giggles filter from the living room to the kitchen and you smile. The entire house smells like cookies and chocolate chips. You place the tray on the stove and slip off the cow print oven mitts.
Levi and Izzy are lying belly down on the carpet, passing back and forth wax crayons, rolling out feet of craft paper, surrounded by scattered brushes and temperas. Who would’ve thought that Captain Levi would become so lenient? Specks of colors pinprick their old rags.
“You’re not that tall, dad.” Isabel steals the crayon from the grunting Levi and adds extra inches to your legs and hers. “That’s better.” She beams at him as her legs pivot up and down at her knees.
“Since when have you grown up so much?” He pats her head and dishevels her black silky hair.
“You can see it in my doorframe.” And Levi feels a twinge in the chest. Time unreels so fast. If she keeps going like this, she will soon catch up. And he will soon be scaring away dusty boys from his little princess. He’ll welcome them at the door while sharpening a knife. Hiding bodies is not that hard.
“I’ll add some clouds and trees.” His mini version chirps and he panics. He pushes the roll, unfurling drawing room and starts scribbling with the black crayon. Big wobbly letters he can manage with three fingers. At the bottom, he traces two lines and puts his name under the right one, and Izzy’s under the left one, and signs his slot.
“Oi! Brat, I need you to sign this.” He points above her name.
“What does it say?” The three-year-old stares at him, raising an eyebrow.
“It doesn’t matter.” His tongue tchs against his teeth, and he reaches out for the bottle of red paint and a brush. “Just give me your hand.”
“We don’t sign contracts we haven’t read yet.” Levi frowns, slipping his good eye all the way up from your feet to your face, taking his time in the middle. Izzy jumps, lured by the cookies as you set the plate on the table.
“What is a contract?” she asks as crumbles of cookies fall on the tuft.
You sit next to Levi, planting a ghost kiss on his cheek, and then address the toddler. “It’s an agreement. You promise something when you sign it.”
“Can you read what it says?” She breaks the cookie in halves and hands the smaller side to Levi.
Brat.
A winsome smile lights your face, and Levi rolls his eyes. “I, Isabel Ackerman, promise not to grow up so fast because it makes dad sad.” You turn your head toward him. “That’s so sweet Levi.” And wipe the debris from the corner of his lips.
“I will sign it, dad!” Isabel claps and wedges between the two of you. She falls on her knees and offers her palm to Levi.
“You sure about that?”
She firmly nods, “I don’t want to make daddy sad.”

Oh obviously first word that your son says it’s dada. 🙄 “It’s just easier to say he calls me dada too “Don’t be a sore loser” as Levi holds your son close with a shit eating grin. You get your revenge when your baby calls for dada in the middle of the night “He wants you” “I thought you said he didn’t know what it means” He grumbles. “Guess I was wrong” you snuggle deeper into your bed. Levi goes to get your son and he just brings him to bed after he calmed him down. All three of you sleeping together now.

Levi taking your daughter to work because he wants to give you some time for yourself and he is immediately met with people telling him how much she looks like him. He has a diaper bag over his shoulder with all the essentials for the baby. He gets to his office and sits his little one on his lap. "Alright, there you're calm for now..." Your daughter makes noises, looking around the office with big curious eyes. She has just learned how to crawl and Levi sees by the way she is kicking her feet that she wants nothing more than to crawl all around his office but he also knows that she loved being held in his arms more.
He kisses her head and stands up with her in his arms, taking a blanket from the sofa he puts it on the floor and let's his daughter play on it, he gives her some toys to keep the baby entertained while he babyproofs his office. A slight smile tugs on the corner of his lips as be heard his daughter playing with her toys, she is making more noise everyday, trying to mimic and speak. "Papa has to do some paperwork, so you can play and crawl around, little stinker." He kneels to poke her nose making her coo at him, she reaches out her little arms and as much as Levi tries to resist those little gray orbs looking up at him, he fails miserably. "Fine..." With a soft sigh he picks her up and kisses her cheek. "Or papa will just hold you while doing paperwork."

Dad!Levi x Mom!Reader
Domestic AU, Modern AU, pure fluff, unnamed young son
Tumblr media
Oh, the skip in your step couldn't be contained as you sauntered down to your car, basked in the sun, and dancing in the rays.
You had gotten everything that you needed (and wanted) today at one of your favorite places in the world: Costco Warehouse.
The groceries for the week? Obtained. The random sherpa throw pillow? One and done. Levi's wine, your spontaneous cheeses, tins of tea. You and your son gorged on every sample available until your bellies were full enough for your husband to nearly roll you back to the car.
The wheels of the shopping cart gently rolled to a stop, careful of the precious package you had in there, as Levi wordlessly met eyes with you. Without another sound, you nodded and ducked in the car, swiftly making sure the baby seat was ready. The second you broke away from your two boys, your son perked up immediately from his sleepy state, swiveling his head back and forth and gurgling slightly in his grogginess. Sensing your son's impending panic from not being about to sight you from his seat in the shopping cart, Levi absentmindedly began to rub his knuckles up and down his baby's stomach to soothe him.
"Aw, come here, baby," you cooed, taking your sleepy baby from out of the cart while your husband loaded the trunk. Tiny hands wound against your neck immediately and you tugged your son closer. "That was some yummy food, huh? Are you feeling the food coma yet?" Pressing his face against your neck, you felt his single nod.
Silent, but a listener, just like his father.
"Yea?" You placed him down gently as you began to buckle him in. "I think the meatballs were my favorite." Click. Zip. Pull. "If they're on sale next week maybe we can ask your papa to make them with spaghetti." Tugging on his seat belt straps once more to make sure he was secure, you began to pull away to help Levi bring in your purchases, only to be stopped by a single tiny hand pulling on your sleeve.
"Huh?" Eyes matching his blinked widely.
"Mama..." he started out slowly. His wide eyes twinkled with stars. "The chickie is hot, can I eat?" He emphasized his words with a couple more tugs to your sleeve, pointing a single finger at his mouth as he went ahhh silently.
"Aw, yea, that's what you were most excited about!" You beamed and wiggled your fingers at him, smiling widely. Of course: the famous Costco rotisserie chicken.
You had such a patient and quiet child, such a mama's boy, Levi remarked with a playful roll of his eyes. Your son was never difficult to handle and would always follow you around like a little duckling. Normally, he'd just tag along with you as you went down the aisles of Costco, a single hand on your skirt as he hovered around your legs.
But today was different. Today he had taken a hold of your hand without a single word and he was the one leading you. He dragged you to the back of the store where the rotisserie was, much to Levi’s amusement as he pulled the cart along behind you. Your son was a man on a mission, eyes gleaming with determination. He tugged on your skirt twice and pointed one tiny pudgy finger at the row of chicken trays in front of you.
You son even knew the tricks: the ins and outs. When you cooed and reached out to grab a tray, your son stopped you, shaking his head before pointing at all of the other people waiting around you. Your son even knew to wait for the next round of fresh chicken to be placed out.
You and Levi sure had a field day giggling at that, watching your son's back as he looked in awe at the employee behind the counter, muttering about how well he was doing with his first real grocery run.
That little runt was growing up, Levi thought wistfully. His fingers twisted around yours. The beautiful son you two created was really becoming a big boy.
But now, despite how cute your son was, despite his cherubic cheeks, and his open lips, and the twinkle in his eyes, you knew one thing: there was no way in hell Levi was going to let a toddler eat in his new car.
After all, even back in your college days, when Levi's car was a decade old Renault that he picked up for less than 1K, your then-boyfriend would raise hell at the mere mention of eating inside his beat-up trash heap. Even when you two picked up a McDonald's at 3AM, one glare made you think twice about eating a single fry before you left the car.
Levi, your high maintenance husband, made you wince sadly at the thought of saying no to your son as he stared expectantly at you.
"Do you mean you want to eat it when you get back home?"
A shake of his head. "Now, Mama." Oh, this was going to be difficult, wasn't it?
"Aw, I'm sorry, baby, but I don't know if Papa would — "
"That's fine."
What?
You head snapped to the other side of the car, jaw dropping as Levi opened up the adjacent door. You stared in a stunned stupor. What??
"Just a small piece," Levi told your son. "Then you can have more when we get home, hm?"
You were speechless, even as your baby fluttered his legs under the confines of the baby seat and nodded happily as a large smile stretched his chubby cheeks.
The sound of the chicken container being opened broke you out of your reverie, filling the car with the smell of rotisserie and surrounding your son's view with the beautifully brown chicken skin. Even now you couldn't say a word as Levi wiped his hands down with a baby wipe, drying his hands before easily ripping out a strip of chicken and wrapping it in a napkin.
"Careful, okay? It's hot."
Nodding furiously, your son reached out excitedly and quickly took a bite as Levi fed him. Pudgy cheeks let out humorous puffs of air to "cool down" his chicken. Although his mouth was too full to let out gasps of awe and hums of deliciousness, one look at his swinging tubby legs underneath his onesie told you just how over the moon he was.
Snapping the container shut, Levi wiped his hands again before making his way to the driver seat, all as your dropped jaw and speechless expression followed every step he made.
"What?" your husband asked, glancing at your aghast expression from the corner of his eye. Putting the car in reverse, he began the ride back home.
"You're such a — You're such a — !"
A pushover.
A softie.
A great dad.
Playfully huffing, you pouted and puffed out your cheeks, turning in the passenger seat and crossing your arms.
"You know I remember when I was twenty-one, I said I was going to have a fry and before I could even put it in my mouth you pulled over so fast," you recalled, fake-glaring at your husband, watching his side profile as he focused on the road, observing the sleeves of his jacket fall down to expose the dainty bone and curve of his wrist. "You took me outside and said we're going to be eating on the curb if I was going to be impatient."
"And now look at you — you're letting a toddler have rotisserie chicken in the backseat. You love your son more than me, the mother of your child?" You finished by fluttering your eyelashes. Of course this was all jokes, you both knew Levi's heart was more than big enough for his son and the love of his life, the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on.
Scoffing, he only flashed his grey eyes at your briefly before turning at the curb. "Don't be ridiculous. We know any toddler with my genes would be leaps and bounds cleaner than you."
Gasping playfully at the smirk he pulled, eyes twinkling with mirth, you batted playfully at his thigh.
"So — " Bat. " Freaking — " Bat. "Rude — !" Bat.
"Brat, that hurts." Yeah, right.
Barely containing his soft chuckles, you attempted to dodge away from his right hand as it tried to grab yours, quickly waving his attempts away before Levi's hand shot forward. His fingers wrapped around yours, trapping your arm before he linked his fingers with your own. When you tried to pull away, he let you go, but only replaced the space on his palm with your thigh pressed against the white seats. You waited for the heat to crawl up your face as he gently rubbed your thigh and soothingly rubbed it up and down.
"Baby, can you believe this?" you cried dramatically, turning in your seat to try and face your son. "Your papa is so mean to me!"
Finishing with the final bite of his chicken, your son blinked owlishly at you, completely deaf to the conversation his parents were having.
Holding out the empty napkin in both hands, your son gave a dopey smile to the back of Levi's seat. "Papa, I'm done!"
Exhaling softly, the tiniest of smiles appeared at the corner of his lip as he turned into your driveway. "Good job," he whispered, just as subtly. You took the soiled napkin from your son's hands and wiped his fingers clean before tossing the paper in the bin.
"More?" Your son's lashes were going to be long like Levi's and now they fluttered as he blinked. Then, remembering his manners, he beamed so hard that the fat of his cheeks nearly eclipsed his eyes. "Please, Papa!"
"Sure," Levi declared softly. Unbuckling his seatbelt, your husband went around the car to grab his son from out of his baby seat. "Whatever you want."

"Tch (y/n), she's going to get all sticky and dirty with the amount of cake frosting at her fa-"
Before Levi could continue (y/n) gently strokes her thumb at Levi's face with a big warm smile on her face.
Levi felt something cold touched his skin, he then reaches to his left cheek and saw pink frosting with a few pastel colored sprinkles.
Before Levi could complain, He saw their little daughter Luna who was at (y/n) arms, she was was looking at him while cooing and giggling, her tiny hands reaching up his face while her little legs were swinging in delight.
Luna was wearing a cute little pink dress and white little mary jane shoes with a pair of cute ribbons, Her right cheek has a few streaks of pink frosting on it.
Luna was like a little version of Levi, she has his raven black hair, his gray yet blueish orbs and his complexion, but her eyes were wide and gentle just like (y/n)'s.
"Levi, she's reaching out to you." (y/n) said gently while bringing Luna closer to Levi.
"C'mere little brat, your mom got you all dirty and sticky with all of those frosting." Levi stated while gently reaching for Luna shielding her lovingly in his arms.
"Come on Levi, its her first birthday, she deserves to try the fun things like getting frosting at her face." (y/n) said while laughing and giggling at her Husband.
Levi couldn't help but stare at his wife's genuine warm and big smile, it was a very cozy and perfect sight in Levi's perspective.
All these years he was alive he thought that living in this world will only consists of fighting titans and fighting for survival, not until he met (y/n) who eventually became his squad member and significant other, as well as the first time he held his small little daughter in his arms a few minutes after her birth looking at him with the same grey yet blueish orbs he also had.
Levi's mind was back at the past only to be pulled back to the present by Luna who presses her little nose at Levi's own.
Luna giggles while looking at her father.
"Daaa!" Luna managed to say while looking at Levi with her adorable little voice, her little legs still actively swinging in excitement as she glances at her father.
"I love you too, Luna." Levi said, his orbs conveying love, affection and gentleness.
(y/n) then approaches the two,
"Luna, its time for you to blow your cake." (y/n) said softly but in a very excited tone, she then leads Levi who was still carrying Luna to the table decorated with a soft pink table cloth with cute little pearly white colored teacups and pastel colored plates. (y/n) also prepared a lot of food since their squad members are also here to celebrate with them.
Armin, Annie, Jean, Mikasa, Eren, Reiner, Connie, Sasha, Hange, and Erwin managed to attend their little daughter's birthday party.
Everyone started to smile and sing the birthday song while Levi was carrying Luna in his arms, (y/n) standing beside them her arms holding Levi's back gently and supporting their daughter's side hugging them.
"Daaa!" Luna said energetically while trying to reach her little fisted hands to the candle flame, for some reason she first learned the word "Daaa" which means daddy since she was very fond of Levi and it somehow became her favorite word.
"Hey, be careful brat you might burn your hands." Levi said protectively, as he stepped a bit backwards.
"Luna, be careful alright? The flame might hurt your hands..." (y/n) said with a loving and motherly tone as she gently puts her index finger to Luna's small little hands, Luna accepts her mother's index finger, wrapping her little hands to it.
"Maaa!" Luna responded to her mother with a big smile on her face, it felt like she understood not to touch the burning small flame at the candle anymore.
"Its funny how Luna is not as stubborn as, Captain Levi and (y/n) even though they are her parents." Connie stated in a teasing tone while Jean laughed holding his stomach.
"Hey you two, do you want Captain Levi to kick us out?" Armin asked them while trying to stop them from teasing the two parents.
"Hey, if they kick us out we wont be able to try and eat the food (y/n) prepared." Sasha said while crossing her arms and making a pouty expression, she then glances at the meat at the table prepared with mushrooms and gravy making her eyes sparkle.
"Alright thats it, if you all don't stop with the teasing I'll make sure you all clean the whole squad headquarters tonight." Levi said, his tone was commanding but it was laced with warmth and gentleness.
"Come on Levi, its Luna's birthday, loosen up a bit and let them tease. Besides its not like its false that you and (y/n) both have the stubborn and reckless attitude just like Luna." Hange laughed in a teasing tone while looking at the family of three in front of the birthday cake.
After all of the teasing and laughter, Levi and (y'n) leans forward together with Luna looking at the birthday cake and the small pink candle as they made a wish for their daughter, since Luna was not yet capable of blowing candles and only made cooing noises while trying to reach for the burning flame, Levi and (y'n) did it for her.
Luna's smile was priceless after her parents made their wish and blew her birthday candle, and everyone was in awe of the sight, it was a family of three, not to mention Captain Levi who was always a reserved person with a cold exterior, his eyes were now very gentle and filled with warmth as he looks at his daughter and his wife.
(y'n)'s gaze also held the same emotions, as she looks at Levi and their little girl with those gentle and loving gaze she always holds for them.
Later on, Sasha, Eren and Connie asks Levi if they can carry Luna with the look of anticipation written in their faces as their eyes sparkle with affection and excitement while looking at Luna.
"Tch, be careful brats if any of you accidentally drops her I'll make sure you all will regret it." Levi stated with a hint of irritation and threat as he lets Sasha hold onto the little girl who was looking at Sasha with wide eyes and a big smile at her face.
(y/n) approaches Levi placing another stroke of pink frosting at his nose this time.
"Tch I told you not to-" before Levi could continue he saw one of the most priceless and prettiest scenery again, it was his wife giggling and looking at him like a little child who saw nothing but peace and only the beautiful aspects of this world.
Levi then puts his thumb at the side of the cake, swiping it to the soft pink frosting then gently stroking his finger at (y/n)'s nose and cheeks with a hint of nothing but love and tenderness at his gaze.
(y/n) was caught a bit off guard but she steps forward embracing Levi delicately, she then cups his face with both of her hands a few of her fingers still covered with a bit of frosting.
"I love you, thank you for you, and for giving me Luna." (y/n) said her eyes converying a lot of love for him and their daughter.
"I love you too (y/n) thank you for bringing Luna to our little world." Levi said as he grabs her waist closer to him and pressing a kiss at her lips.
"You two should get a room." Erwin said while Reiner and Jean were both laughing like they've seen a dumb looking titan or something.
Hange then speaks in a teasing tone "Hey, don't you all think its a bit early to give Luna a little sister?"
"Shut up four eyes, its none of your bussiness." Levi said with a frown but later on his expression was replaced with a small smile as he looks at (y/n) again gently placing a kiss on her forehead this time.
"You hear that? I think auntie Hange and uncle Erwin is more than happy to look after Luna tonight," Levi said while looking at (y/n) with a small and playful smirk.
"I think that could be arranged, Captain." (y/n) said with a small smile and soft chuckles.
"Hey cover her eyes sasha, she can't see people kissing yet!" Connie said to Sasha who placed his hands at Luna's eyes gently to block her view of her parents kissing and being all lovingly.
"Hey brat and potato girl, didn't I tell you not to touch her face with your dirty hands?" Levi said with a hint of annoyance and threat.
"I- I'm sorry Captain, we both promise we are both clean and germs free, right Luna?" Connie asked Luna who was just smilling and giggling her little legs still swaying actively.
"Meaaaa!" Luna said while Sasha was carrying her.
"Did she just said Meat?" Eren asked while Reiner was laughing stupidly at the back while Mikasa was looking at Luna with her gently gaze.
"Did you all seriously thought her how to say meat?" (y/n) said while laughing.
A small smile made its way to Levi's lips, seeing his squad with his daughter was a very peaceful sight for him, and his wife by his side with her gaze holding nothing but love, warmth, affection and tenderness.
Annie and Mikasa then gently took Luna from Sasha and Connie, "She'll be staying with us for now, right little Luna?" Mikasa asked with a soft and gentle voice while Annie was delicately carrying her.
Armin and Eren stared at the two young scouts with awe as their cheeks both started to uncontrollably blush.
"Looks like someone has a crush." Hange nudged the two with her elbows playfully.
"He-Hey its not like that." Eren said as he playfully frowns at Hange with a shade of red still lingering on his cheeks, while armin was covering his face that looks red as strawberries.
"Lets all eat now, the food might get cold, I'll also slice the cake now." (y/n) stated as she grabbed the small dainty pastel colored plates.
Everyone had a great time, as they all celebrated Luna's first birthday.
Tumblr media
After the Birthday party was over, Luna was now peacefully sleeping at her crib which was beside (y/n) and Levi's bedside.
"Hey, you look tired." Levi said while he reaches for (y/n)'s arms encouraging her to join him at their shared bed with his already tired and heavy eyelids.
(y/n) joins him as they both tuck themselves together in their comfy shared bed, their bodies seeking warmth and comfort from each other, Levi wraps his arms around her and she did the same, her face resting at Levi's chest while he strokes her hair as they both were covered with the warm sheets of the bed.
"I really did enjoy today..." (y/n) said to Levi with her usual soft voice, her gaze softening even more.
"Our little brat is growing healthy and happily each day, I'm happy too (y/n)." Levi responded while pulling (y/n) closer to him.
"Did we both have the same wish for Luna's birthday?" (y/n) asked Levi curiously.
"I suppose yes, and I have nothing more to wish for, as I already have both of them here with me." Levi said looking at (y/n) leaning forward to her and planting a gentle kiss on her lips, he then glances at Luna who was still sleeping peacefully, his tone of voice and gaze once again laced with love and affection.
Levi and (y/n) both found peace and happiness in their little one, their little moon, that served as their light in their dark and hard moments in life.
Despite everything that happened as well as the hardships, (y/n) and Levi both knew that they'll be alright as long as they can provide a happy, loving and peaceful family to Luna, with their warm smiles and priceless cozy moments together, which they both had always wished for.

🍼Dadvi with the chunkiest babyyy 🍼
“You’re all rolls, huh?” He would say with a smirk before he’d place a quick kiss on top of his babe’s head. He’d be briefly horrified but then mostly impressed at the bits of food your child managed to get underneath their neck or in other crevices. “How’d you manage to get that in there…?” Over time he enjoys getting all the bits out as he loves cleaning them. It also helps that they let out the cutest giggle when he does. Levi takes his baby’s plumpness as a sign of good health. He wasn’t used to seeing well fed babies as he came from the underground where food was limited. So yes, he does take joy in seeing his little sunshine with full cheeks. It means they’re getting what they need; they’re safe and happy. Let anyone dare mention anything about how his child is getting too plump. “Tch. Don’t you have anything better to do?” He’d shoot them a glare. “Dumbass.” He’d mutter to himself as he’d gently bounces the little one on his knee. Placing a quick kiss on the top of their small head he’d whisper “You’re perfect.”
