If that room in Amygdala is supposed to be Yoongi's amygdala and he’s stuck inside of it, reliving his past trauma and hardships without being able to escape them, does that mean the box cutter scene could possibly reference something like what he was talking about in the censored part of The Last (“the doctor asked me have you ever XX? Without hesitation, I answered that I have”)?

People SH because it's a way to escape your situation for a while. The door opened for a while after Yoongi did that to himself – maybe that was the temporary relief you get from SH? But of course the door closed before Yoongi got out of there, because SH doesn't actually help you or solve anything. He never escaped the room because you can't escape your trauma no matter what you do. A part of you will always live in your amygdala where all that is stored, but life does get easier once you learn how to live and cope with everything you need to face there.

#the scarred 'trauma version' of himself that lives in that amygdala room is the one Yoongi continues to fight in daechwita & haegeum #and Yoongi keeps facing & winning the trauma version of himself even though it comes back again and again like traumatic things tend to do #this is obvs just a random theory I'm throwing out there – I'm not trying to make any serious assumptions about him or his life #I love yoongi and this mv so much. like he just. gets it. I wish I could give him a hug. from one amygdala resident to another 🫂#yoongi

wait okay i caught the barrels of fire parallel but I just noticed that in the turn shot where he's being drowned in the bucket of water and it turns to the scarred agust d as he does the thumb across his throat move and the camera positions him in line with the pillars and platform like where the emperor was in daechwita when he was ordering the same death of the rebel. damn.
