**I headcanon that The Hero of Kvatch traveled for a while with the sword, refusing to bring it to Clavicus Vile, while the sword tried to overtake him.. Then Shivering Isles happened and The Hero(aka Sheogorath in making) finds out that Umbra might have been one of Sheogoraths creations. So hes like oh yes LMAO mishief and trouble right right right “off you go, ta ta” and leaves it at Clavicus Vile shrine. starting the whole..yeah
