How to start your day on a positive note:

- drink your water as soon as you wake up and take any vitamins/medicines so avoid forgetting them
- i find that sitting up or propping myself up helps me not to fall back asleep in the mornings and stay productive
- set a list of realistic goal or expectations for the day - don’t push yourself - i use MinimaList and i love it
- open your shades and let natural light into the room
- surround yourself with positive energy whether that be reading a book, or watching a youtube video that grounds you
- meditation always helps to centre myself for the day or yoga and stretching
- fuel your body - if your like me and don’t like eating in the mornings try a smoothie or yogurt
- get some fresh air - whether that’s opening a window, drinking your coffee outside or going for a walk
- deal with any small tasks in the morning to help deal with the workload and focus on longer tasks
- do your skincare routine and brush your teeth - keep clean !
- pick an outfit you feel comfortable and happy in and that makes you feel your best
- take deep breaths and practice steady breathing
- be kind to yourself mentally and physically your body is doing so many amazing things nurture it

I haven’t shown off but I put a few more rows on the body of my sweater today :)
EDIT- also! I sent off an application for a cashier position! It’s a part time gig and not quite what I’m looking for in a job but it’s a walkable distance and closes at 3pm so I think it’s a nice temp job to get me to wake up earlier and get a little cash

Today, the fun continued. I did a 3 hour art therapy session. The place is a creative playground with every type of art supply you could fathom. They even have “stations” to work on collaborative pieces.
I followed their initial art prompt and created a small scene on a piece of wood that reflected one of my “happy places”. I used acrylics, fabric and natural/dried plants. I forgot to take a photo but will do so next time. (It was of Whistler, BC - one of my favourite places to visit.) I hope to frame it in a shadow box.
Then I pulled out a giant canvas and started drawing. I don’t have enough space at home to paint something of that magnitude. I was truly in my element. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. So, so happy and grateful for this opportunity.
On top of it, I was picked up by a taxi this morning. There weren’t any handyDart busses available so they sent me a cab and they paid for it. I ended up getting there early and was able to get my decaf americano from Starbucks. After the class, the handyDart bus picked me up and took me home. So no waiting around, transferring or riding packed, stinky busses for me. Thank goodness because it’s been pouring rain.
I was supposed to facilitate a “train the trainers” workshop for the chronic conditions program. Unfortunately, we had so many people either not show up or drop out at the last minute. So it’s been postponed until next year. Honestly, I was kind of relieved. I feel like I need to work on my rehabilitation for a few more months before committing to something like this. These workshops require prep and most importantly, “brain power”. As they’re usually hosted in the evenings, by that point, my brain has often “left the building”.
I had a really nice time at the book club on Sunday evening. I didn’t read the book because I couldn’t get into it (but half of us didn’t so it wasn’t just me). We had a lovely potluck dinner and a lot of great conversation. It was fun.
I’m feeling a bit icky from the infusion yesterday but I’m on my heating pad having a cup of tea. The bone pain may gradually get worse before it gets better but that’s expected. Not much else is on the agenda for the rest of the week except for my volunteer health coaching. I also picked up some Halloween cards so I’m going to mail them off with the kiddo’s school photo.
I also plan to work on my home herbal program, go for walks and watch Ted Lasso.
I’m looking at what kind of fun I can create for myself this week. Going down the list. For now, it’s back to my book.

Feeling 1% Blossom today. Pain is already at a 6. I want to go home.
....but I also don't want to go home because I was berated again this morning. For being lazy. Because I felt like Hot Garbo on Sunday, the Day of Rest, and didn't force my wife or myself to work through the afternoon.
"Why is it you can find the energy to do the things you want to do, but if we visit my parents you need to lay down to rest every day?"
Maybe it's because I don't control when I'm hurting or how bad my pain is, and it's easier to manage my pain when I'm distracted from it and not actively making it worse?? You said it was okay that I needed rest at your parents'. I specifically asked you if it was okay. Multiple times. Because I love you. And now, because you're frustrated, you take it back? And you wonder why I don't want to tell you that I'm in pain?

Oh man I feel hyper productive today and I'm so proud of myself for using my energy on the stuff that moves me forward ajdvhkabshd
☑ Class did not happen because of scheduling difficulties however I left my student an exercise to do and I'm proud of myself for actually sending her the exercise right after I said I would.
☑ I met up with my friend as we planned and we figured out the way I could study chemistry so she's now my personal chemistry guide lol
☑ Revised the French words and I'm going to add more words soon 🇫🇷
☑ Spent like 1-1.5 hours preparing for SAT and found the topics that I struggle with in math so the goal for tomorrow is to figure out how to solve problems on at least one of them.
☑ Spent two hours studying biology but it's more like I was studying chemistry, atoms, isotopes and such. It turned out to be pretty fun to understand it hah.
☑ I worked out today's morning :D
☑ Also ran some house errands like checked the bills figures and made dinner (tried a good recipe today, family says it was delicious ☺)
Plans for tomorrow:
• Finish uni list (I still need to add "safe schools")
• Plan the next week
• SAT Math 2-2.5 hours studying

hell yess feels so good to hit my food goals!!!
no workout today bc both me and my lifting buddy had to stay at work till like 7pm. we’ll do today’s scheduled exercises tomorrow, which is usually a secondary/rehab day. I did some strengthening exercises and stretches for my hip + piriformis at home and called it a day lol. should have hit my shoulders too but whatever, i can’t always be perfect
trying super hard to break this plateau. the newbie gains are gone and my weights haven’t moved up a minute. but I’m trusting the process, making sure to address any pains and problems I’m having, and most importantly having fun along the way 😌
