I made something (super rough bc I didn’t want to be working on it forever) I’ve been thinking about since Facebook kindly reminded me on Christmas about the incident with the shiny Spheal last year… I know it’s not that serious but I thought it would be fun. This is basically a visualization of what went down in Go that day. I was shiny hunting Spheal using my daily adventure incense (tempting fate, really) and I only had regular pokéballs and plain old razzberries on me. We’ll meet again someday, Spheal.

So so so sorry this letter is late. We finally resolved the Walrein situation. Unfortunately…well, the pod will only accept Wallace as the leader of their pod, so I’m going to have to leave him to stay at the shelter. He’ll be fine, he was getting bored at the house, but I’m sure he’ll miss his daily Beedrill inspections. Skie got it in xer head that I should do an interview on the main sanctuary account while I’m in town, so it looks like its going to be another week. My work never stops it seems! Ah well.

Sprite: ….I’m going to be honest Sprite, I’m not exactly delighted by that news. You. Told Kittsu to leave and she did. That’s not great! That’s super not great actually! Just- fucking dist Sprite. I’m not. mad. A smidge frustrated but not mad.

Beedrill: Your support in my caring for Bird means everything to me Beedrill. This week she got to pet more Spheals and ride (very safely) on a snowmobile. She says it was very loud but a bit cool. Matcha has been banned, but she does enjoy mochi.

As for service pokemon. The main reason for keeping service pokemon and battling pokemon separate, is specifically in the case of medical alert and task pokemon. For example, if Orion was a battler and I was battling with him, if I started having problems with my heart, he would be too distracted by the battle and wouldn’t be able to alert me to sit and calm down, or fetch my medicine. Or if I had a panic attach while he was battling, he may not notice and be able to task to help me out of it. That’s the main reason for not having a pokemon do both. It’s possible to have a service pokemon also be able to battle, but it’s a bit frowned upon for those reasons. It really depends on what tasks the pokemon will be trained to do to help you out. If you’d like, it’s something we can discuss at length when I get home. I would be happy to train a service pokemon for you if that was something you wanted.

Tari: Glad that Corro is keeping Jester in check haha. And I’m especially happy to hear that you and Delta have made up! Good job kicking its ass at air hockey, much respect. Hello Professor. I was glad when your letter arrived, Sprite had got it in his head that something bad had happened to you and we both enjoyed this letter. I will miss Wallace, Admittedly, I do wish I had some of his DNA and a small laboratory to study him and come to my own conclusion on weather he was a dual typed pokemon, or a fraud. I hope he finds peace at the sanctuary. In your next letter I would like to know how bird is doing, as not hearing from her directly has made me rather on edge. Could you please include an excerpt from her in the next letter. Tell her she doesn't need to write in cursive, or use code name, just something, even a drawing would be good. I will think over the service pokemon thing. Theres nothing wrong with me to a diagnosable extent. I don't think giving a service pokemon out to someone who doesn't need one would be the best course of action. Maybe a normal pokemon would do just fine. I have been hanging out more with your green haired friend. It's interesting. I have a couple more observations, but i'll spesify them when I have more evidence to back them up.

Players can store up to 40 Gifts until the end of the event.

During Winter Holiday Part 2, Trainers can choose between several bonuses as a reward for their Timed Research. It's branching Research will revolve around either hatching Eggs, catching Pokémon, or collecting Stardust. All players who complete the research will receive items and have the opportunity to encounter Galarian Mr. Mime/other winter-themed Pokémon.

There's gonna be a Winter Wonderland event from Dec24 at 10am to Dec25 at 8pm, where Daily Incense will last 30min and there will be an extra special trade per day.

The number of guaranteed Lucky Pokémon a Trainer can receive in a trade has been increased from 10 to 15! And starting Dec24 at 10am, if you trade a Pokémon that has spent time in a Trainer’s storage since 2017, it's guaranteed to become a Lucky Pokémon until the limit is reached! This change is permanent and will stay active going forward. (Edited, the info on the blog was wrong.)

Wild spawns are Costumed Pikachu, Delibird, Eevee, and Cubchoo, Swinub, Snorunt, Spheal, Snover, Vanillite, and Bergmite. Alolan Sandshrew, Cryogonal and Costumed Stantler are rare.

7km Eggs are Sneasel, Smoochum, Crabrawler Bergmite and Amaura.

1⭐ Raids are Costumed Pikachu, Cubchoo, and Eevee, Galarian Darumaka and Alolan Sandshrew. 3⭐ are Costumed Delibird and Glaceon, Lapras and Cloyster. 5⭐ are Kyurem, and Mega Raids will be Glalie .

Kyurem caught from Dec23 at 10am until Han1 at 8pm will know Glaciate.

Field Research encounters are Costumed Pikachu, Eevee, Delibird, and Cubchoo, Alolan Sandshrew, Seel, Shellder, Jynx, and Crabrawler. Sneasel and Costumed Glaceon are rare. Mega Energy for Abomasnow can also be earned.

Basic: Hattie is Warden stinky sMelli's only child. She bears a strong resemblance to her father sharing similar eye colour, hair colour, and pale complexion. She lives with her father and the rest of the Diamond Clan at the Diamond Settlement near Lake Valour.

Personality: Hattie is reserved and shy like her father was when he was a child. She speaks in a soft tone of voice and is well-mannered. She is careful, cautious, and less impulsive than others her age. Though she grows up sheltered, she is sharp and willing to learn. She is tactile and has a good sense of direction and memory.

Abilities: Hattie discovers telekinetic psychic abilities as a toddler, but she is unable to fully master them until she gets older. She limits her psychic abilities to daily use like levitating things to her instead of grabbing them, or levitating multiple objects around her to avoid being over-encumbered. Her father would take her with him to the Coronet Highlands to fulfil his duties as Warden for the Noble pokémon Electrode if nobody close could watch after her. Hattie received much affection and care from her father due to being an only child. After she was born, he committed himself to another goal: being the best parent ever. Though he had good intentions, smothering his daughter with unwavering love and attention caused her to shy away from him and strive for more independence as she grew older. Melli was enthused to have Hattie because he loved the idea of having a miniature version of himself that shared his genes and physical features, two things he took great pride in. Hattie became well-mannered partly because of her father’s emphasis on etiquette; he believed that how his child behaved would reflect on his own reputation and capabilities as a parent, so it was in his best interest to teach her to behave well.

Adolescence: Hattie shows more opposition to her father’s “worried mother” tendencies and grows uncomfortable with being so guarded from the world outside of the Settlement. When she is old enough to travel on her own, she helps her father and the Clan by gathering resources and supplies. She makes regular trips to the Cobalt Coastlands to enjoy the seclusion and calm atmosphere of the beach.

Significant others: Hattie has a couple friends at home, but she makes one particular friend who evolves into her lover over the years. To her father’s grave discontent, her special friend is a member of the opposing Pearl Clan.

Adulthood: Hattie's push for more independence is not in vain; she ventures out into the world alongside her partner and settles down in the Galar region once she is ready to start a family of her own. By adulthood, Hattie gains more confidence and learns to loosen up with the help of her carefree partner. In Galar, a Hatenna meets and warms up to Hattie over similar preferences for peace and quiet, and psychic abilities. She stays in touch with her father, phoning him as often as she can to keep him up-to-date on her affairs once she is off on her own with her own family. She also visits him at the Diamond Settlement along with her children once she has them. She likes how her children and later grandchildren take after herself and her father in the looks department.
