Dairon's cover was her actual real name, she openly discussed her mission in a confirmed bugged gift house and IMMEDIATELY traveled to said very well known foreigners' bugged house after getting caught red handed breaking into dynasty records. Not to mention she nearly got killed in Asarius for sending non native messenger birds directly out of the city to the imperial war front, when sending stones are easy and cheap as hell

Astrid met the entire nein (who she firsthand knew were being monitored) undisguised in a beer hall full of witnesses and ON ACADEMY CAMPUS to give secret floorplans and send Caleb to kill Ikithon and raid his illegal torture pit, blatantly enchanted someone in front of a dining room full of people and she (alongside wulf) dropped illusions in the middle of nicodranas

I know it's because Matt forgot at first or added it later but meeting Dairon and knowing their pronouns makes it extremely funny that they listened to Beau call her a man like six times and the first words out of their mouth are "actually, I'm a woman." Master of "my gender is whatever is funniest at the moment." I can fully picture them saying deadpan "gods forbid women do anything" one of the times Beau gets on their ass. Favorite NPC hands down.

I really do appreciate that they put the speed booster EMMI (and thus an EMMI zone designed around it) in Dairon, right in the middle of the map. Since you're bound to pass through there pretty often, it could easily have wound up as Dread's Magmoor Caverns, and I think they realized this pretty quickly, so it's nice that once the EMMI is defeated, it becomes a pretty literal highway to get around fast.
