Just watched the Saber Final Stage(it did not include the talkshow afterwards in the download).
Asmodeus as a villain was strange.
He acted completely different, and no one mentioned anything else from Super Hero Senki or the TV Crossover either.
Reika and Ryoga were the first to get hit, and also never appeared out of Henshin.
Then we see the OT4 out and about.
Rintaro literally asks, about the OT4 hanging out "Mei-san, this is what normal Homo Sapiens would describe as a date, right?"
Yes, Rintaro, you four are on a date.
Kento then tells Rintaro to just straight up ask Mei on a date already, which proves the entire OT4 have been blind to the fact they're already all together.
Then Kento and Touma do a Heart Shape with their hands, idiots(affectionate) .
Asmodeus and Charybdis(even though his Book was destroyed, Asmodeus has it?) Appear, Daishinji-san, Ogami-san, and Ren appear and the Six Northern Base riders transform, Charybdis spits out brainwashed Megid Generals ans Desast, and Yuri appears.
I am no longer gonna be describing the story.
Reika showed her inner Brocon.
Ryoga was thoroughly humiliated.
Swordboy OT3 as ths Musketeers is amazing.
Daishinji-san as the Beast and Ogami-san as the Beauty is Bizzare.
Yuri the Pooh, hilarious.
I.. cannot for the life of me remember what Ren was.
Haouken Xross Saber appearing to Touma was amazing looking.
Kamen Rider Tassel was. Strange.
The Magid Generals and Desast regaining their free will was great.
Rintaro, Ryoga and Zoous was epic.
Kento, Ren and Desast, chef's kiss.
Touma and Storius, incredible.
The Megid Generals and Desast Sacrificing themselves, almost heartbreaking.
Ultimate Bahamut is Amazing, easy to forget it's one's suit and another's helmet, recolored togethed.
Ending on the OT4 before they break Character was great.
Aoki just lying on the Goddamn floor to stay in the Audience's line of site, great.
All in all, magnificent.
I will watch the V-Cinema, actually, I need to know how to rework it, and for that I need to see it.
But only after Beyond Generations, which will be watched where ir fits for Revice.
Saber Final Stage was kinda insane tbh
Not only did it continue the saga of Rintaro's attempts to woo Mei, but also had all the Northern Base swordsmen shipping them with KenTouma as the co-captains XD
They really went and made a Pooh parody right after he became public domain, I love it. And Ren was Pinocchio :))
Oh, and for the thing with Ryouga and Reika- see, their actors were only on the Tokyo leg of the tour, which is the one that got made into the DVD, and that's why we see them on stage afterward. But they weren't in the other shows. The Osaka and Fukuoka shows had different cast members as guests. The only cast members who were in all three shows were the actors for the original Northern Base swordsmen and Mei. So Ryouga and Reika had to stay transformed throughout, so that the show just has one consistent story even with the rotating guests.
Fun fact, they also performed different songs for the Final Live- the Osaka and Fukuoka shows had either Rewrite the Story or Will Save Us, while Tokyo had both.
Ryo Aoki just lying there on the stage XD Two of my mutuals, @iristial and @springstarfangirl commented something along the lines of "draw me like one of your cute toku boys" and I just about lost it. He's such a menace, I love him.

How would the Saber cast react to Aruto's jokes.
touma: loves em, instant besties
mei: laughs before being like "shouldn't we be taking this seriously?!" *gestures to ark logos or whoever the fuck*
rintaro: *furrows his eyebrows* "what a strange swordsman..."
kento: smirk of approval
ogami: bellowing dad laughter that shakes the earth, later uses the same puns on sora and pretends they're his original jokes
ren: "ugh, why are we even working with this clown?"
desast: "heh. that's pretty good."
daishinji: stone-faced, too busy marveling about what kind of expert bladesmith could construct a sword that folds into a briefcase
yuri: attempts to make his own puns, none of which follow any actual logic or function as real jokes
sophia: chuckles at nearly all of them, surprising everyone
ryoga: "do not anger me." professional joke hater
reika: secretly loves puns, using every ounce of strength in her being not to completely lose her shit, à la fuwa

fucking hell saber
Saber spoilers as usual
Can I just say from the get go, all the fight scenes in this episode were just *chef’s kiss*
Especially the opening scene, the transitions between the Riders’ parts of the battlefield were absolutely perfect. Using Reika’s ability to turn into smoke to shift to Daishinji and Ogami’s side, Ren appearing from the debris of Ogami’s attack, Kento in a blast of lightning just above Ren... And my favorite shot of this sequence...
Tumblr media
This shot of Touma and Rintaro in the reflection in Ikazuchi? It was so gratuitous, but MAN I love it (also I consider it subtle Touma/Kento/Rintaro ship tease because I’m me)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ASDFGHJKL DID THE SEASON MCGUFFIN JUST TRY TO PLAY A MIND GAME ON THE FINAL VILLAIN
Tumblr media
You did not just. Do that?? What the fuck is going on why is Mei being affected too-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FUCKING HELL. You did not just make Desast’s death even more emotional than it already was...
And Ren FINALLY gets the character development he deserves.
Tumblr media
DAISHINJI???
PLEASE TELL ME HE’S JUST UNCONSCIOUS???
HE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A FUCKING DEATH FLAG ASDFGHJKL
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TOUCH OGAMI-SAN YOU HEAR ME
Tumblr media
@i-am-randomtrash00 Aaaaaaand there’s our Kentoumaren goodness XD Better late than never huh
FUCKING HELL Y’ALL THIS FINAL ARC IS GONNA KILL ME

3, 18-20, and/or 25 for the meta meme?
3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)
Oh, I've got tons of them, but currently I'm haunted by the idea of a High & Low/Yakuza crossover, mainly because I feel like there are some fun parallels between Majima and Murayama that Majima in particular would find compelling. Mostly it's just very vague thoughts, except for one very small dialogue snippet:
The kid wriggles against Saejima's grip on his jacket collar like an angry kitten, furious and simmering with violence but ultimately not that threatening. "Yeah, Granddad? You think you know something about me?"
Majima sputters for a moment. "Do I look like I'm that old--ok, yeah, fair, I'm that old, I could be your granddad. Yeah, pretty sure I know a thing or two about you."
"Wanna bet?"
A long pause, Majima looking the kid up and down, and then he says, "You used to feed stray dogs that lived near your mama's house and the first time you punched a guy you nearly broke your thumb. You've probably got a best bro who's a real big motherfucker, although I doubt he's as big as my real big motherfucker," with a nod to Saejima, who grunts. "You like to fight so much you dream about it, but you're gettin' better about keepin' a grip on yourself." Another pause as he weighs whether or not to say the next thing he's thinking of, and then figures hell, why not, nobody else is around to listen. "You like men and you're worried about sayin' anything to your buddies because they might get fuckin' weird about it, and you've got a crush on some real upstandin' type, strong chin and everything, maybe that blonde kid you were hollerin' at earlier. You probably tried on a girlfriend's lipstick once and thought you looked pretty good and you're maybe a little worried about what that means." Beat. "And you're a terrible fuckin' bowler."
The kid stares at him, getting redder and redder in the face, and then mutters, "Never been bowling."
"But I was right about the rest of it."
"How'd you know all that?"
Majima shrugs. "Used to be you, is all."
"Shit." The kid looks like he's not sure whether he wants to smile or get angry. "Hope I'm better-looking than you when I'm that old."
"You--I was gonna offer to stand your scrawny ass some lunch, but now I ain't so sure."
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
Pretty much all of them, but very few that are written down or that I could in any way explain succinctly.
19. Is there something you always find yourself repeating in your writing? (favourite verb, something you describe ‘too often’, trope you can’t get enough of?)
I might be too fond of long pauses and so on in dialogue, honestly. And overly involved metaphors.
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
Oh pretty much everything I've ever written has at least one thing in it that I'm just overly pleased about and want people to notice, but the one I was thinking about just last night is that in that one Reika/Magine prompt fic I wrote, I had Reika make a reference to Daishinji being a cousin of hers? Which is a headcanon I'm fond of but which nobody's ever really mentioned.
25. What part of writing is the most fun?
Dialogue! And sex scenes honestly, I like describing sensations and the sensations during sex are all so intense.

can’t think of any other saber characters I’m particularly attached to. Like I don’t dislike them or anything, just..
Touma and Rintarou are sweet, Jin Amazons is dead, Ren is annoying, Kento had his arc, Reika’s ruined, Durandal doesn’t exist, I think it’s sweet that Ogami and Daishinji are blowing each other, Yuuri’s cool ig, Solomon is whatever, there’s an eboy somewhere. Just not a lot I’m crazy about here. Lots of boys that I’m sure are nice but don’t do much for me

Kamen Rider Saber: Finale and Series Review
Okay, before I start disemboweling this series I want to give the finale two points of props.
It was nice to see the main trio fight the big bad together rather than it just being the lead Rider.
The ending really feels nostalgic for me. It's like one of those old games or anime that tried to do something like Evangelion, mostly Star Ocean 3 comes to mind.
I was going to add another point: how the ending didn't have to rely on a cosmic retcon to turn things into a happy ending like Build or Zi-o did, leaving those who died dead and having some level of maturity. I was going to give the show that point, even if it felt like it was leading into Touma essentially becoming God, but then the show did it and...I'm going to be honest here, I was saying fuck you at the screen. Multiple times, kinda like when Doctor Who's 50th anniversary where it turns out Gallifrey wasn't destroyed, the Doctor sealed it away and just couldn't remember it. Like, that is the level of bullshit I was calling out, and with Doctor Who I only said it as an “oh fuck you” rather than just “fuck you fuck you fuck you” until I noticed I was doing this and stopped myself.
Got it? Good. Now let's put Kamen Rider Saber on the examination table, rip it open, and see what went wrong with it.
Oh my god, where to begin with this series?
You ever see a show or movie that tries to do too much for it's runtime? Maybe a book that has some ultimately good ideas, but it never fleshed them out properly? That's my biggest feeling with Saber. Individual parts of the story, some arcs and characters are good on paper. Not to mention, Touma has two incredibly sexy upgrades (the Ryuki-inspired Draconic Knight and the berserker Primitive Dragon). But there is just so much in here that, given the proper focus could have carried the show if properly developed. It's a case of quantity over quality.
But the main problem comes to it's central McGufffin, the Omniscient Tome. This book is supposed to have all knowledge and later on all stories contained within it. It's what powers Wonderworld and the Wonder Ridebooks that are the main collectable trinket of the season. But when you stop and think about it, Saber is a world where there is no free will and the antagonists are all rebelling against this in their own way. Kento's dad (former Kamen Rider Calibur) went rogue in the backstory because he was given a vision of the future through his sword, and it led to the former Saber taking up the role of Calibur and going rogue in order to learn the truth. When the other riders are turned against Touma, the argument is over how he's destined to become more powerful, making Touma seem like he's seeking power and could be a future threat. When Kento returns from the dead, he's haunted by visions of the world ending in multiple variations, leading to him trying to seal the Sacred Blades in order to stop it. But then Master Logos is revealed to be buttfucking insane, wanting to rebel against his position in the world. Then it turns out the monster faction's leader, was a former poet who lost hope when he learned that all his creations were already in the Omniscient Tome, so he decided he would end the world his way rather than the predetermined ending. And even then, the world still ended the way it was always fated to end, even with Touma disappearing to nu-Wonderworld if only for a year.
The world wasn't saved, it was destroyed and then rebuilt because Mei wrote an online post that encouraged people to share their stories, which they did in oblivion even though these guys shouldn't have seen the post at all and instead just heard her voice.
Like, maybe the nu-World has free will. I'd buy that. But when applied to the 47 episodes I've spent the last year watching (alongside the Zenkaiger crossover episode), it felt pointless because it ended the way it was foretold in the Omniscient Tome. It didn't matter that Storious was defeated, fate was not averted. It's like, the complaints people have about the MCU post-Loki. It doesn't matter that Tony decided to sacrifice himself, because he didn't have free will. He was always going to sacrifice himself. Thanos was always going to snap away half the universe, and it would always be undone because choices didn't matter before Loki's ending.
And that's not even going into how they final arc reveals that Touma can somehow create stories not present in the Omniscient Tome. That he can somehow, because the personification of Wonderworld choose him as a child, that for some reason he's the only writer in history that can do this. His catchphrase is about how he'll be the one who'll decide how the story ends, but with the idea that everything was set into stone? It's laughable.
Like, my problem with Zero One's ending was the last scene. Aruto had learned a lot about the Humagears and was an advocate for them finding their own dreams as they became self-aware AI. So him trying to treat a new humagear as just an amnesiac Is  and try to help her “remember”? That felt like a betrayal of the character and what he stood for. But the post-series movie revealed that Is left a copy of herself in the Zero Two driver, and merged with the non-self aware nu-Is who the movie kept reminding us wasn't the Is we knew. Aruto even had a sobbing scene about what he was doing, lowkey acknowledging what he was doing but without overtly calling him out. It fixed Zero One for me after that last scene left me with a bad taste in my mouth that overshadowed an otherwise excellent show.
You can't fix Saber with a single movie, that's what I'm getting at here.
So, with that out of the way let's go into my thoughts on each character.
Touma: Is one of the blandest main riders in the franchise. His sense of style is probably one of the worst I've ever seen though. Like I know they like to try and give the main riders their own look rather than having them dress like normal people, like Aruto wearing a hoodie under his suit jacket alongside with his very bright shoes, but this wasn't a W or even something like Ghost (where honestly I really liked Takeru's robe-like shirts). What they eventually settled on with Touma was a stupid hat, really baggy pants, and shirts that look like they came out of a stern librarian's closest. You know, the type with her hair in a bun and their horned-framed glasses on a chain.
Rintaro:Is one of those cases where he's meant to be the secondary Rider of the series, but is overshadowed because the writer likes to use someone else more. The idea of him having to turn against the organization that raised him (like a child soldier) could have worked really well if the series had a more free will-direction. But alas.
Kento: Kento's the one character I found I could really like. His arc was more interesting during the first quarter, his return as Calibur, but then he returned to being Espada and, as much as I love that suit, he just became Touma's main cheerleader. Really, I felt like towards the end it was a waste of him, especially since he doesn't get any power ups like Rintaro did to solidify him as one of the main three. He definitely feels like a victim of rewrites or just the writer not knowing what he was doing.
Mei: The female lead. Honestly, I just found her annoying most of the time. A womanchild to match Touma's more manchild moments, with a potential romance with Rintaro thrown in to only be confirmed in a future movie. Really, she should have taken over as Espada after Kento disappeared early on (especially since she's one of the three in the Ending dance while Kento isn't).
Daishinji: I'd say best boy, but he became a background character pretty quick.
Ogami: An older Kamen Rider who is also a father to a young child? Cool, and could even have worked in contrast to Rintaro's raising as essentially a child soldier. But alas, it was not to be.
Ren: OMG. A somewhat psycho younger Rider, idolizing Kento, and his social Darwinist beliefs on strength leading to conflict as Touma gets more powerful, leading to him abandoning the team to train with an enemy monster? HOW DO YOU MAKE THAT NOT WORK! I swear, Ren should have been the secondary Rider of the series, with his changes in beliefs being used more effectively.
Yuri: One of the most competantly written characters in the entire show. One of the original swordsman who became his sword, returning after 2000 years and not only feeling the culture clash of then and now but even how the idea of what makes a hero has changed? Good boy. Also loved him using a shadow body early on during fights.
Sophia: Why are you even here?
Reika: Oh boy, the swordswoman who leads the rest to distrust Touma under the orders of Master Logos, and doesn't sway from this until he's proven to be batshit insane? And even then, reluctant to join the others? Could have been better, especially if her relationship with her brother didn't come across as incesty. Though, could we please return her to Magine in Zenkaiger? Reika hugging her was really cute, in a socially awkward type of way.
Ryoga: Reika's brother. With his powers being something out of Jojo, time manipulation powers which are a bit hard to explain. He starts them and to his opponents things seem like the fight is continuing as normal, but he really exists outside of that and then can attack from a blindspot? Could have been really good with if the series had gone Team Free Will is all I'm saying.
Master Logos: What I mentioned above, but his Rider suit is one I'm in lust with. Just laughs like a madman and you're wondering why Reika and Ryoga don't rebel against him earlier.
The Megid: Two are a waste who I never bothered to learn their names. Fall out of focus for a bit and only return to be beaten, with the sad fact that they were once human. Storious is the exception, but even then I felt he was a little too late to save the series.
Tassel: Bon Lecture! I still hate you you weirdo, even if your death scene made me feel a little sad. The fact that you treated the early parts of the show as a story you were reading? Have you seen my other complaints?
As for the message of what the show tried to say? I don't really mind it. It's encouraging people to love stories, even if they are copies (considering the controversy of Time Paradox Ghostwriter and Cheat Slayer within recent memory, I'm trying not to make jokes about Saber encouraging plagiarism). And I don't think that's a bad thing in itself. Hell, how many stories take stuff from older stories and just tweak elements to make them their own? I love the Elric saga, but that was based on old legends and meant to subvert the likes of Conan the Barbarian, and some other stories I've liked have borrowed elements from it as well. The idea that stories can be used to pass on our hopes, thoughts and dreams to others is pretty nice as well, rather than writing being a form of masturbation on the author's part.
But in the shadow of the Omniscient Tome and it's implications, I really feel the story should have taken another route.
A lot of Riders start of weak, having to introduce the plot as well as the main release of whatever trinket they want kids to gorge themselves on this year. But they usually start getting better towards the end of the first quarter, while maybe stalling a bit towards the end of the second/third. Saber was a series that I felt never really found it's legs. Too many bareboned plot threads on the go, dropping some for a while only to pick them up again after they've been forgotten about. This is not a good series, to be honest I think Zi-O and even Ghost were better, and really feel it would have been better handled in the hands of someone who could actually write.
Not to mention, this gave me flashbacks of Power Rangers Megaforce over how much this series relied on fight scenes. Throw in greenscreen everywhere, lack of civilians...oh god, it is Kamen Rider Megaforce. And it felt like Saber was trying to have a story, unlike Megaforce, but it has the same “it’s a kid’s show, we don’t have to try that hard” energy.

The Swordswoman of Mist
Heroes' Odyssey: After mentioning his own persistent enemy, Belial, Zero talks about Z's enemies the Barossa Seijin, and Tiga's enemy the Kyrieloid.
Saber: Well, Tassel's back, wonder what he was up to. Touma has a dream of Primitive Dragon standing over the bodies of the other Swordsmen, he's awoken right before killing Mei by Luna, who asks him to help "him" before Touma awakens for real, both Tassel and Master Logos appear to be aware of Luna contacting Touma, which tells Master Logos that she's still alive. Rintaro, in front of Ren, Reika and the Southern Swordsmen, asks Master Logos if it can be true there's a traitor, while still not wanting to believe it, but is told Touma is the cause of the discord. Ren doesn't know what to do. In private, Master Logos calls Reika "Sabela". The Northern Swordsmen discuss the new Caliber, Yuri leaving, they still have Rintaro's books. Reika interrogates Sophia about a book, she doesn't get an answer. Without telling anyone Mei takes Rintaro his books back, he's really stuck. Reika enters Northern Base, where Ogami and Daishinji are, intending to eliminate all of them, revealing Noroshi, and using Konchu Daihyakka to become Kamen Rider Sabela. As she fights Buster demands to know if she's thinking for herself in all this, she says her and Master Logos share a will, and everything is to achieve his ambition, as she wins Sora runs away. Mei and Rintaro talk, Touma listening in. Luna and Sora have both lead Touma to realise he needs to help the boy he's seen, who may be Primitive Dragon. Rintaro and Touma start arguing while talking about how much they care for each other, they come to some kind of understanding right before Sora appears. The victorious Sabela claims Bremen no Rock Band when Touma jumps in, after a look at Rintaro, decides to transform. Tassel tells Yuri Primitive Dragon was sealed because no one could control it, says he can't tell him anything about Caliber, and leaves for another appointment. The moment Touma tries to transform Primitive Dragon takes over, leaving Rintaro to think about using King Lion Daisenki. Saikou arrives, and then when Primitive Dragon targets Rintaro Caliber appears again to protect him. Touma sees the boy again right before both of them are de henshined, revealing Caliber to be the returning Fukamiya Kento. I mean we all knew this was coming, just a matter of when.
Zenkaiger: The worlds of the Past 44 Super Sentai have all been sealed in gears, apparently in the middle of their battles, the last world targeted it Kaito's. As it merges with Kikaitopia, the Kikainoids suddenly appear, Gaon among them, confused, but Kaito knows them from his father's research. It's been a month, and society has merged, but the Kikainoids don't know how they got here, as Magine tells interviewers. Kaito's parents are missing, Secchan sits in the shop which Kaito's grandmother, Yatsude runs. Zyuran hangs with some humans, thinking of the Kikainoids at the too of the chain, the Tojitendo leaders, King Bokkowaus, to whom Ijirude explains they are working to seal the last world into a Tojiru Gear. With no progress made thanks to part of Kikaitopia merging into Kaito's world, Gege suggests invading it directly, which Barashitara is assigned to. Vroon, a cleaner, overhears some of this. The invasion begins, with Barashitara, the Kudaks and Kudaiters attacking humans and Kikainoids alike, Zyuran's friends run on fear from him as well. Kaito is saddened by what's going on, holding Secchan and contemplating his parents, when he decides he'll save the world, activating Secchan, who sends them to his parents lab, revealing his parents found other worlds and, inspired by those worlds Super Sentai, created the Sentai Gears and Geartlingers, so they can fight. Kaito rushed out and witnesses Zyuran, despite everything, risk his life to protect a boy, shooting the Kudak and recognising Zyuran's heroism, offers him to fight together. They become Zenkaiser and ZenkaiZyuran. Zenkaiser is in the vein of the "Himitsu" Sentai, essentially looking like if Akaranger was designed after Varidorin, while if Zyuran is based on Geki, ZenkaiZyuran is in the vein of the "Kyoryu" Sentai, looking like Daizyujin. Using the Zyuohger gear grant Zenkaiser ZyuohEagle's wings, Zyuran uses the Ninninger gear to use Nin Retsuzan. Barashitara summons a giant Kudaitest, alongside the existing Kudaiter, to wreak havoc, but Secchan teaches Zyuran to grow big, he then converts to Zyuran Tyranno to fight, and both defeat their opponents. The heroic exploits of the Zenkaigers are just beginning, but why are their mushrooms on everyone's heads? Zyuran Tyranno, while obviously referencing Zyuranger's Tyrannosaurus, to me also serves a a reference to all 4 Kyoryu Sentai, which each had a Red T-Rex ranger.
Dogengers: Rookie tries to protect I-Doll, but is being beaten by Yabai Kamen. Shaberryman takes Yuki hostage, stopping the others from acting. Yabai Kamen defeats Rookie and uses the Golden Seal to return I-Doll to Insurgent Mode, the 3 AHK members abscond, along with Yuki. Kitaqman, realising Tanaka knew about I-Doll and said nothing, is upset that Tanaka didn't trust him and leaves for Kitakyushu, Fukuokaliber recommends splitting up for the moment, El Brave going to cool his head, leaving Yamashiron depressed. Alone and missing Aoiron and Daidairon, Yamashiron manages to unknowingly unmute them, having accidentally done so before, and they demonstrate they can appear to him as holograms from the grills in his arms, giving some much needed encouragement. The chief gives El Brave some advice on recognising his allies' weaknesses as well as his own. Fukuokaliber tells Tanaka that Ohgaman and them all saw he had something they don't, and want to see what he can do. Kitaqman stands on a rooftop. Yabai Kamen at the office stews over the fact that only himself, Shaberryman and I-Doll still have their Golden Seal power, but with Yuki he has an advantage in negotiation, and intends to win. Yabai Kamen calls the heroes out, to meet in Shikadoshima at 10 am, when Kitaqman appears behind him, saying it's 10 pm now.

Ren: Seeing your universe is both amazing yet scary at the same time.
Me: It's not that scary.
Kento and Touma: What made those 3 have 10 kids?!
Me: ... A lot of horny energy and genuine love. And those 2 really love Ren's *rooster cry* which all 3 agreed to call it the *loud whale call*.
Touma: No... not that book about that whale and a vengeful captain...
Kento: Did I just hear what I think he said...
Ren Kento and Touma: *faint*
Rintaro and Mei: Well... 4 kids ain't that bad either. But those 3... My God... Calm. The. Fuck. Down!!

I've got a scenario today.
It was a get together kind of day as everyone else was setting up the decorations and preparing food. Things were going well until right after things were practically done. Everyone was wearing casual clothing for this event then sat down to whichever tables they seem to want. Kento and Touma arriving a little late while touching their bums for some reason. But they saw it as just scratching. And Ren following not far behind. Ryouga was the host for today and he kindly offer them a table near by. "Please sit on this table here. It's the last one." Ren was the first one to sit but the other two were hesitant. I mean very very hesitant. "Uh... about that...", Kento. The older gentleman replies to this hesitancy with a squinty suspicion. "What about that...?" The novelist spoke out in a anxious manner. "We'll, let's just say, me and Kento made Ren into a man today." Ryouga could barely hear him and calmly said, "Say that again. And would you kindly speak a little louder." Ren took a pitcher and poor himself a drink to quench his thirst. "Okay. Okay. You want an answer. Fine. Here's your answer. Touma and I made Ren into a man today and it was such a delight. If catch the gist of it", Kento blurted it out. "Isn't that right, Ren?" Ren sputters his drink onto the table and choked a little.
What is everyones else's reaction? (I could already see Oogami covering Sora's ears. And Daishinji rolling his eyes like Tony Stark.)
Why, oh Gaim WHY
Everyone would immediately lose their appetite and stop eating. Except Yuri, for reasons that will be explained in a bit
Ryo doesn’t just cover Sora’s ears, he takes Sora home via Book Gate and then comes back to yell at KenTouma for oversharing around his son. Mei joins in on the yelling as she lectures them about the definition of “too much information”
Tetsuo just sighs and tries to keep Ryo from actually murdering KenTouma for defiling his child’s mind. Rintaro is holding Mei back from opening a can of whoopass on them
Ryouga just sits there slowly dying inside while Reika pokes him trying to get a reaction out of him.
Yuri is Yuri and is completely baffled by whatever is happening. Sophia understands well enough but knows better than to interfere with this whole thing.
Meanwhile, KenTouma is completely shameless and Ren wishes that he could crawl into a hole to hide for the rest of his days

Minific idea: Touma hands Kento back his original sword
Fuck when this happens in canon it’s gonna destroy me utterly 😭
Kento watched with clenched fists as the Swords of Logos struggled against Master Logos, barely able to make a scratch at him. Only Touma and Rintaro in their most powerful forms were even to keep up with him now, and the others kept being distracted by Reika as Sabela, fighting her with only their sealed blades and their wits.
This is all your fault, he chided himself. If you hadn’t believed those visions... if you had been stronger and not fell to the darkness... if you hadn’t let your guard down and let him take Kurayami...
He was so lost in his despair that he hadn’t cared when the new Calibur move towards him in his vulnerable state. Kurayami glowed ominously as darkness oozed out of it, waiting to destroy all in its path.
Defenseless, the former swordsman could only close his eyes in resignation as he awaited the darkness to consume him- for good this time. Everyone... I’m so sorry....
“Kento, snap out of it!” He heard Rintaro cry out, keeping Master Logos at bay by blocking the blade with his own. “Touma, do it! I’ll keep him distracted!”
Kento’s eyes widened as Rintaro pushed Calibur away from both him and Touma, who approached him with a familiar blade in hand. His transformation fell away as he kneeled in front of Kento, presenting the Swordriver to him along with his three Wonder Ride Books.
Ikazuchi. Lamp do Alangina. Tri Cerberus. Needle Hedgehog.
“Kento, take them. Fight with us again, please.”
“Touma, no,” he whispered brokenly. “I don’t deserve to wield it, not after what I’ve done...”
“Says who?” Touma asked, pushing the items into his hands. “You’ve made a mistake, but you did it for the right reasons, didn’t you? And even then, you can always make up for what you did. By fighting now.”
“But I hurt you all so much...” he protested feebly, his tears falling onto his sword and Lamp do Alangina. “Daishinji-san and Ren and Ogami-san... they’re struggling because I sealed their Seiken, how can any of you trust me after that...?”
“Kento.” He looked up at his childhood friend, whose eyes were kind, gentle and full of an emotion he didn’t dare to name, didn’t dare to hope for. “Do you trust me?”
“Of course,” he replied without hesitation, without even thinking.
“Then trust me when I say that there’s no one who’s more worthy of wielding this sword than you. And I’m sure the others agree too.” He said, reaching out to wipe the tears away from his eyes with his the cuff of his sleeve.
The action was so heartbreakingly gentle, so Touma, that it took everything in him to not throw himself in his arms and sob out in relief.
“Kento-san, come fight with us again!”
Ren?
“Kid, we were never angry with you!”
“You’re an idiot for thinking we won’t understand...”
Ogami-san? Daishinji-san?
“Kento, just come back to us already, please!”
Mei...
“Just shut up already!” Reika growled as she turned into smoke, rushing towards her master and Rintaro in a flurry and attacking him as while he was dazed by her form. He was thrown back, his armor dissolving as he landed straight into Touma’s arms.
“Rintaro!” Touma exclaimed.
The other swordsman ignored Touma’s fussing and huffed with exertion as he sat up and looked Kento in the eyes. “For what it’s worth... I believe in you, too,” he said, with complete sincerity in his tone.
Rintaro....
Their words filled Kento with a feeling that he has almost forgotten. How long has it been since he felt the slightest glimmer of hope?
Kento huffed a laugh as he wiped the last of his tears away. “You guys...”
Thank you.
Touma and Rintaro gave him twin smiles as they all got up to their feet, turning toward their enemy in a united front. Kento placed his Swordriver around his waist, along with his Wonder Ride Books, and together with Touma and Rintaro drew out his Seiken from it activate their Drivers.
REKKA BATOU! NAGARE BATTOU! IKAZUCHI BATTOU!
“No, I won’t let you!” Reika snarled as she rushed towards them in her smoke form.
“HENSHIN!”
Flames, waves and lightning surged as they transformed into their Rider forms. Even Sabela’s smoke form couldn’t withstand it and she dropped it, withdrawing to Calibur’s side.
Saber, Blades and Espada stood where Touma, Rintaro and Kento had been, Seiken crossed together in a solemn, silent vow.
“Heh.... those three....” Ryo huffed as he clutched his side. Tetsuo sagged in relief beside him, and a wide, almost feral grin bloomed on Ren’s face.
Mei sighed, “Thank god... I’m so relieved...”
The promise made, the trio raised their swords and turned to the enemy with a battle cry, rushing at them with Touma at the lead and Rintaro and Kento barely a step behind them.
We will defeat them...
Together!
*cue epic fight scene to the OP*
