They had an easy enough dynamic in text, but it didn’t fully translate in person, perhaps simply because she regretted begging so unashamedly for help at a time of crisis for his family. Akihiro had always seen her as very proper, a martial and composed leader, building on discipline and self-restraint. One had to be, to survive in an environment like that of the Hand, to excel in it and become an elite assassin. He knew how hard she had driven herself, because he had done the same. And he could glimpse the trauma underneath the facade, beyond what he already knew of her daughter’s death. On an island where almost everyone was severely traumatized, they were kindred spirits.

MY NEW BOOK ARRIVED TODAY!

And to my surprise, not only did it have Wolverine, but the rest of the main snikt fam! Separate entries for Laura, Akihiro, and even Gabby!

The book itself is called “Marvel Anatomy:  A Scientific Study of the Superhuman” (released today!) written by Marc Sumerak, Daniel Wallace. Art by Jonah Lobe.

The premise is that T’Challa/Black Panther is the narrator, and this is sort of his notebook on various superhumans within the 616 universe. 

Some entries have more pages than others, which in of itself is not a bad thing considering there’s probably more psuedo-science you can add for certain heroes over others (like Human Torch’s flame physiology vs Thor being ~magic~) But I can’t help feeling like this could be expanded a bit more, especially with mutants -- they just seemed to pick the most popular/well-known. I mean, Magneto or Polaris would’ve been a cool entry. Same with more in the Mystical Abilities section (there’s ONLY Man-Thing and one Ghost Rider)

That’s just me being a bit nit-picky though -- there are so many cool sciencey illustrations and the book itself is gorgeous. A volume two would definitely be in order though. 

A very fun collectable overall!
