Greetings! We (and by “we” I mean me because I’m the only mod) are pleased to announce the first official Tumblr week dedicated to the fifth Robin and the son of the Bat himself: Damian Wayne!

Here’s how it works:

Each day you’ll be given three prompts to base your works on, and you can combine prompts if you so wish. We accept all mediums including but not limited to: writing, art, edits, moodboards, audio/video, playlists, and cosplay.

The prompt submissions will open on February 14th and close on February 27th, and there will be a Google Form released when the time comes. The prompts can be things like “Humor”, “Alfred the cat”, “University AU”, etc. so long as they’re safe for work. Vague prompts are better because that way creators can interpret it however they like. Prompt voting will be from February 28th to March 14th, and the final prompts will be released the day after on March 15th.

Posting dates will be from June 12th to June 18th. Late posting is okay, and we will reblog up to a week after the event is over.

Interest check for Damian Wayne Week 2022 is now open!

Like last year, Damian Wayne Week is a content creation week centered around our favorite batbaby, Damian! 

This short survey will gauge interest and ask which dates people would most prefer. The official dates, rules, and and other information will be posted after the interest checks close, along with the prompt submission. Prompt voting will happen around early March and the prompts will be released after that.

No NSFW

Max 5 words per prompt (vague prompts are preferred because they allow more creative interpretation)

Damian Wayne Week is an event designed to celebrate said character through all creative forms and is open to participants of all skill levels. As fandom events may differ or not everybody may be familiar with them (welcome, first timers), here’s a list of answers to commonly asked questions. If you don’t see yours here, feel free to stop in our ask box or DMs.

What are the important dates?

Prompt submissions will be open from February 14th to February 27th.

Prompt voting will be from February 28th to March 14th.

Prompts will be released on March 15th.

Posting will be from June 12th to June 18th. Late posting is allowed, but please refrain from early posting.

How do I participate?

Simply create something, tag it with #damianwayneweek and #damianwayneweek2022 (within the first 5 tags), and tag us @damianwayneweek

Is there an Ao3 collection I can add to?

Yes

Is shipping okay?

Yes, but we do ask you to refrain from bat-shipping, adult/minor shipping, and NSFW content.

What’s the policy on violence?

Violence is okay as long as it’s not over-the-top graphic and content warnings are tagged properly.

Who are the mods and how can I contact them?

It’s just me, @incorrectbatfam. I know, it’s kind of sad and also a little weird that I use “we” in all the posts but let’s just roll with it. If you want to contact me directly, feel free to send a DM.

What forms of content do you allow?

Any form! Writing, art, edits, moodboards, videos, playlists, cosplays—you name it! Just don’t steal anything. Like... come on, that’s not cool.

Can I include other POV characters or relationships?

Yes, as long as the focus is on Damian.

Are crossovers allowed?

Yes. Again, make sure the focus is on Damian.

I did everything right but my work hasn’t been reblogged.

(Grammatically speaking, that’s not a question.)

But here’s the answer: there might be so many posts that I missed it, or Tumblr’s just not being a functional website. Regardless, if you don’t see it reblogged within 36–48 hours, send a DM with the post link.

To ensure that everyone feels safe and enjoys this event, here are the ground rules for content and posting:

Please tag all posts with #damianwayneweek and #damianwayneweek2022 (within the first five tags, otherwise Tumblr might not index it) as well as this blog @damianwayneweek so we can see your creations and reblog them.

For Ao3 creators, we have a collection here. You’re not required to add to it, but it’s highly encouraged to make sure people can see your work.

Aging up characters is fine, but because this event is open to minors we will not be allowing NSFW or explicit content. If you are unsure if a work is appropriate, feel free to DM us.

For the safety of our participants, batcest shipping or any adult/minor shipping will not be allowed, even if the content is not explicit.

Please tag all content warnings appropriately. A good rule of thumb is when in doubt, tag it.

Be nice on each other’s works. I really shouldn’t have to say this but it’s the internet so I’m gonna add it as a preemptive measure. I have eyes like a hawk.
