Damirae week is almost upon us fam, July 17 - July 23! In anticipation for all the great things to come, we wanted to celebrate some of the works from damirae weeks past. So we'll be randomly selecting and sharing fanfiction and fan art to help boost motivation and excitement for authors, artists, and fans alike.

Hi, will there be a time when the Damirae fanzine won’t be available anymore? Or, become free?

At some point it, probably by end of summer, it will no longer be available.

As for free, I cannot say for certain. Last year's zine only became free as a means to promote this years zine. However, as of now, Vilavi nor I are planing on doing another zine in the future. It's a lot of work and I'm getting married next year ,so I won't have the time or the energy to commit to it. And I as far as I know, no one else wants to take on the responsibility. So it's unlikely we'll have another for some time. So the likelihood of making it free are slim, if any.

@ravenfan1242might have something to add to this.

On the first day of damirae week 2021 my contribution was this:

In the context: Dick visits Bruce with the intention that he fixes his father and son relationship with Damian, it is Dick with Alfred's support who tells Bruce that Damian has a baby and was married with Raven.

Raven and Damian married twice, the first was private and simple, a way Damian found to protect her and keep her with him in the league... and the second was later when they both decided to reconnect with their families and friends, starting with Dick and Kory.

Allowing a two-year period between weddings

Sooo here is the context of how he said it to Dick and Kory

— Dick, Kory... Thank you for coming here, it has been a long time since the last time we talked face to face, thank you for answering my letters.

—It's ok Damian, I'm glad to know that you're still my little brother, but your letter said that you had something important to tell us... did something happen?

—You know that you can count on us for whatever you need.

—I thank you both, nothing bad happened, it's just that... I want to introduce you to my wife.

—WIFE!?

Entering the old cafe where the two of them shared several afternoons of reading, the place had not changed from how she remembered it, she saw them sitting at "their" table, smiling softly, she should have seen it, Damian was someone who paid attention to details and surprised you with them.

She touched her husband's shoulder, revealing the matching ring, and kissed his cheek to smile at her friends.

— Damian, sorry I'm a little late, it's nice to see you again.... Dick, Kory, how have you been? How is Mary?

The surprise on the faces of both elders was great, Kory covered her mouth and got up from the table to hug her, she cried holding her hands and filling her with questions, her emotion increased when she saw her belly, both women sat down without letting go of each other's hands, Dick was static between joy and fear, after losing her in the battle, Damian had distanced himself from everyone, the idea of what he could have done to bring her back being alone, desolate and upset bothered him.

— Damian, how is this possible?

He was afraid for him, for her, his fears vanished when Damian looked into his eyes with a smile he hadn't seen since the loss, Raven let go of Kory to hold Damian's and Dick's hand, she smiled at the older man to dispel his doubt.

— Damian didn't do anything Dick, it's me, I'm not sure how it happened... but I came back, and I went back to him.

— We can talk about that later and somewhere else Dick! Now, When? How? Where? Who said it first and who asked for it? Was it Damian? How far along are you? Do you know if it's a boy or a girl? Mary will be like her big sister

The excitement in her voice increased with each question, stunning and embarrassing the young couple, they knew this would happen, but they were not prepared for so many questions. They answered the questions of the woman they both admired as a leader and confidant, smiling at her, Dick made a few jokes and insinuations that made Raven laugh and embarrassed Damian.

Despite everything that had happened and was about to happen, Damian was happy to slowly get his family back.

1 Day Till DamiRae Week!

Hey Shippers! So with Damirae Week approaching, I just wanted to remind everyone that we have another AO3 Collection titled Demon Love Birds Volume 2: DamiRae Week 2022.

When you post your story to AO3 all you need to do is type Damirae Week into the Collection column, which resides in the same section as the "Does this Work Belong to a Series?" and "Does This Work Have Multiple Chapters?" In this instance make your selection under "Does this Work Belong To a Collection?"

Once you've made your selection, post the story and we'll receive it in our queue for approval. Please be patient as this could take a day or two. All stories will receive approval unless they are anti-damirae fics. That being said please use all appropriate tags and warnings so that readers can comb through and understand which fics' are what. Such as smut, slash, major character death or containing mature content.

With that being said, we look forward to your contributions of all kinds! Happy Damirae Week! Let's get this party started

Damian: Black coffee. Hot.

Raven: *Glaring in confusion* It's 85 degrees and it’s July? 

Damian: So?

Raven: Who drinks hot coffee during a heat wave? 

Damian: Coffee should be hot, drinking it cold is an affront to its purpose. 

Raven: How so?

Damian: Because if coffee were meant to be cold then you wouldn't reheat it when it cooled.

Raven: That's not the same thing.

Damian: Maybe not to you. But me drinking hot coffee on a warm day is no different than drinking iced coffee in the middle of January, Beloved.

Raven: You may have a point. I'll give you that, Wayne. *And adds a ridiculous amount of sugar to her already sweet latte.*

Damian: Diabetes with your coffee, Raven? 

Raven: *Glancing up with disdain* Coffee purest.

Damian: Coffee heathen.
