I think the worst thing about kuro antis is how much of a disservice they do to Yana.

Acting like she’s a bad storyteller because they don’t like the way she tells her story.

Yana is an incredible storyteller.

She is able to weave together so many threads so there’s always a set up for something and yet she does it in a way that doesn’t distract from the overall story.

Just think about the twin reveal. It was set up as early as the ripper arc I believe and didn’t come out until 100+ chapters later. And yet if you look back you can see all the clues she left.

She carefully chooses how she sets up panels and which POV she uses. She picks her kanji so carefully, often they can be read 3-4 different ways!

To say she’s a bad writer or that she just “accidentally” does things for “fan service” is a slap in the face to the hard work and careful craftsmenship she puts into her work.

If you think she’s such a bad mangaka, if you find her “sexualizing” of characters so repulsive, then why are you in the kuro fandom? Why are you still reading the manga?

I’ve come across plenty of media where I liked the concept but hated the execution. And you know what I did? I stopped reading/watching and moved on. It’s that simple.

Gonna go on a little rant here spoilers below for Black Butler if you haven't caught up story plot wise-

Okay so after finding out Ciel's backstory, like the full backstory and finding out that he's actually the youngest brother out of a set of twins and finding out that he's not even really Ciel Phantomhive rereading the manga from the very beginning puts so many things into a whole new light.

Like Ciel's distaste for touch and shady nobles who are into things like black magic/the occult, and some of the meltdowns he's had like in the Circus arc and in the one German village arc. Or how he knows about the underground auctions involving missing people and children. It all suddenly makes so much sense in a horrifying way but I think that the saddest thing I'm noticing is just how obvious Ciel's reasons were for not telling the truth about his identity.

I'm in the current Jack the Ripper arc and Ciel's talking to his aunt, Madame Red and she confronts him about being the Watchdog of the Queen and she brings up what she believes to be his possible reasonings for taking up the position that once belonged to his father.

And throughout this entire speech not once does she ever hint at him specifically. Or rather who Ciel originally was before that horrific night on he and the actual Ciel's birthday. She mentions his parents, she mentions herself and his fiancee Elizabeth. But never once does she mention him. It's like Ciel (the younger twin we all personally know), never existed at all. Like as soon as he supposedly died in the fire that consumed the Phantomhive manor, it was like his very existence vanished into the void. The youngest twin forgotten about by the people who were supposed to love him unconditionally, just as they loved his older brother. Rereading this and remembering Ciel's internal dilemma about how he'd let his family know of his older brother's death and how he'd been legitimately scared by the knowledge that his family wouldn't want him back but rather Ciel instead, just makes this whole situation absolutely heartbreaking.

I mean can you imagine how he feels? How much that must actually hurt, hearing your loved ones praise you and tell you that they've wanted to protect you from the moment you were born, because they're under the impression that you're actually your dead older brother?? How much that hurts, knowing that if you'd returned as yourself that your loved ones would possibly come to resent you and your presence??? That every moment of every single day, you're reminded that the old you, the real you wasn't as loved and treasured as the you you're playing the role as now. Because the old you, was nothing more than the spare.

Like Jesus it's no damn wonder that Ciel never said a God damn thing about what had actually happened that night. Because how can you when you're constantly reminded in some way, shape or form that you will never be as wanted as your older brother.

Just, God damn Yana, you really know how to ruin people's hearts huh?

Our Doctor Who rewatch reached Utopia and I am once again losing my mind over Ten/Yana, the nichest of niche Thoschei variants. They are SO OBVIOUSLY AND GLEEFULLY IN LOVE! In this brief moment, they get to exist together with all the baggage and animosity and mutual hurt stripped away! They do science together and marvel at each other's genius and just exist side by side! (And also put each other's faces very close together at one point.) And the tragedy of it is, it's the very presence of Ten - his TARDIS, his existence as a Time Lord, his references to daleks and the Time War - that triggers Yana regaining the Master's memories and brings all of it crashing down.

The moment these two reunited it was very tearful and Bard finally understood his young master and Sebastian a bit better

Bardroy Jr stays in the manor now and sees Ciel as a older brother figure of shorts (since I'm a little certain he's young still)

I wanna add some angst with our new AU with the circus troop, that Bard didn't like to look at Doll for the longest time cause she reminded him of Bardroy Jr.

As Bardroy Jr got older he learned how to use the gun much better and doesn't do killings as his father and the other servants do
