Okay, I’m not quite sure how I can answer it without spoiling everything akjskdkd. Anyway, since I want to write but I can’t write anything for Was Born To Lead now, here’s another bad drabble from me, which is either too clear or too vague, I have no idea XD

Valerio was sitting motionless on his bed. It’d been five days since he’d moved into Matías’ house and all that time his luggage stood untouched in the corner of his room.

The usual surge of warmth he felt in those walls had dissipated with the thoughts escaping from his mind. It was empty. As was his soul. He couldn’t think of nor feel anything.

Leticia.

He lost her. Many years ago. Her death left a hole in his chest that would never be filled again. Her soft caramel eyes that sparkled with an undying passion for everything she was doing. Her radiant smile that could illuminate his life in the darkest hours and be the beacon of hope in his directionless journey.

She inspired him. She changed him. She was his everything.

But he had to move on. Because he had to stay strong. For her.

Those short five years of peace. The years when Valerio was truly happy. The years when he had nothing to worry about, when he thought everything was in the past and he would find a way to build a new, better life.

But he had to leave. Against his will. Again. He couldn’t do anything but succumb. He did. And he regretted it.

Smoke.

Fear.

Fire.

Pain.

Weakness.

Darkness.

He opened his eyes and saw his hands. His burnt skin and his scars. He heard surprised voices saying that was a miracle he survived.

He didn’t remember what happened to him until a shadow that heated his blood flickered in his eyes. His mind was clouded by the rage boiling inside of him, and the only thing he remembered that night was a deafening howl that still echoed in his ears.

You’re insane!

Valerio came back. And despite everything that had happened to him, he was happy. The chains that had been holding him back had been broken, and he could finally spread his wings and start a new life. And bring it to her.

But then she breathed her last breath, and it set Valerio’s wings on fire. He fell, and as he kept burning from the inside, he couldn’t fly up. Not that time. He didn’t have anything to live for.

Despite Valerio wiping his tears away, they kept streaming down his cheeks. He didn’t know what to do. And he didn’t want to know it.

She looks at his hand and gently takes it before she stands. "Please... don't say last, okay ?" She needs to remain OPTIMISTIC. It's only the last one before that fight against Ultima.

She has never danced much before, but she's pretty sure Joshua didn't have that many opportunities either, since that attack at Phoenix Gate. It's almost a comforting thought. She puts her arms around his neck, then ends up quickly leaning her head on his shoulder. Half-dancing, half-hugging. That's absolutely her to do that.

"I'm... I'm glad I've gotten to know you," she admits against his neck, fighting the tears. It's almost easier to tell him these things without looking directly at him. "Like... I don't care that you're the Dominant of the Phoenix. You're you. You're Joshua to me. It makes me so happy."

She hesitates a bit, but she moves her head back so she can lock eyes with him. "So... come back. Please. Come back... to me." She chuckles a bit awkwardly. She's never good at talking openly about the way she feels. "There's still... there's still many things I'd like to share with you. I don't want to imagine them. I want us to live them. So... I'll be waiting for you." She already lost Cid when she wasn't ready to lose him  — she would have never be ready. She just can't lose more, not this soon.

That’s his right hand too, so presumably his trigger hand/finger/whatever it’s called? Is this a physical injury inflicted on him by their experiments or PTSD or both?

I’m intrigued at how much relative freedom they’re giving Omega. She’s not being kept in a cell all the time like the other clones. Though I suppose this is part of their plan to make Nala Se cooperate.

OMFG??????? I JUST REACHED THE ENDING FOR THEODORA AND IT'S SO FUCKING GOOD????? I MEAN I WAS LEFT DEVASTATED WHEN I ENDED SEASON ONE BCS ALL OF THEO'S FRIENDS DIED including my sweet Friedrich ༼⁠;⁠´⁠༎ຶ⁠ ⁠۝ ⁠༎ຶ⁠༽. But then I started to find the motivation in me to finish just for the sake of seeing Theo reuniting with Friedrich. And ngl the plot was so good too. I wasn't expecting myself to be completely engrossed with the demon plot on s2 but when it came to s3, that's when it hits me that this fucking plot slaps. I mean WOW WOAH, IT'S JUST WOW. I started to love reading it when i first discovered that the author's writing skill is drop dead gorgeous. IT'S SO KSVDOEHDISHSHDHD. I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN IT BUT I REALLY LIKE IT. AND THE CLOTHES AND THE HAIR ARE SO PRETTY T_T. Finishing it feels so worth it. It made me sit in silence, dazed and trying to recover from the impact it left on my life. Because this story deserves much more than any diamond you could offer. If I could meet Arina, I would be on my knees and kiss the foot of her shoes. BCS DAMN WOMAN, YOU JUST CREATED A WHOLE NEW WORLD FOR ME. 9.5/10 for Theodora, muah 🧑‍🍳💋

The first ever fanfic? Oh god, that's more than a decade and a half ago... but okay xD Basically Kei and Hikari (the main couple from S.A) take a trip on a cable car during a winter getaway, and as you can expect, the car stops right in the fucking middle. What happens next? A lot of sexual tension, that's what. I was like... 13 or 14 when I wrote this xD It was titled 'Love in the Ice' btw, lol.

17. what is your favorite line you’ve ever written?

Oof, this is hard #_# There's got to be many, though my head is blank now... but... okay. I guess this one from Ch.16 of VBEOW:

He bid her goodbye, once again, and that time had been the most painful of all, because now he knew, there could've been something between them, something called love, and it couldn't be, only because she was supposed to be just Annie, and he wanted that for her more than love.

Hm... from a fic? Or just in general? Okay, I guess I'll go with Carl Sagan's dedication to his wife in his book 'Cosmos'. It goes like this: "In the vastness of space and the immensity of time, it is my joy to share a planet and an epoch with Annie."

I think about it often, because in our very brief time of conscious life on this (rare) planet, it is certainly such a wonderful thing that we live alongside other wonderful people who touch our hearts and change us forever.

64. what is your favourite title for a fic you’ve read?

Ooohh. I think it's got to be "Breathturn" by ladywongs, who wrote it for the touken fandom. I can't find her/their fics up anywhere anymore, but since I have a downloaded copy of it, I often go and re-read it. It was an angsty-smutty piece, which captured the quality of the title very well, imo.

98. what don’t you like about your writing style?

:< Oh no. Everything, sometimes. Other times, I don't like how it seems very much like violet prose... or maybe that's just me because I'm too critical of my skills and hate everything I do haha xD Anyway. Someday, I'll be proud. That's good enough.

Yep, I did this morning. WARNING: AKATSUKI NO YONA CHAPTER 243 SPOILERS AHEAD!! READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION!!

First, I salute Hak for trying his best not to punch Su-won right then. XD Hak already said it all. He spoke for all the readers who support Yona. Su-won didn't think at the beginning that Yona is capable of being the next ruler of Kouka Kingdom. But Hak, who was always by Yona's, knew how hard-working she is and that she has potential. Hak already mentioned it before. He decided to follow Yona not just because King Il told him to, but because he was captivated by Yona's determination. Su-won failed to see this before. And now that he's seeing Yona's true capability, he wants Yona to be the next ruler. Hak has every right to be angry. Su-won drove Yona away from her own kingdom and even tried to have her killed. Hak, who was always by Yona's side, knew everything. Every time Yona suffers, he suffers with her together. So Su-won trampling on Yona's feelings makes Hak hurt even more.

The last 3 pages were very painful to read. Because I think, that was already the time that Hak already stopped thinking of Su-won as his friend. Su-won, even when on the brink of death, has no intentions of changing his ways and thinking. Hak also thinks differently. So the image where the two of them are going on different paths suggests that Hak already found his resolve to forget everything between them. I felt so sorry for Hak and Yona. It's a good thing that Yona wasn't there because honestly, I don't know how she would react. Without ever knowing, Su-won trampled on Hak's resolve. At the very beginning, Hak was already resolved to be by Yona and Su-won's side as they both rule the kingdom. He's willing to put aside his feelings for Yona and support Su-won as her "rightful" husband. That's the future that Hak was hoping for.

This really broke my heart. At some point, I was still hoping that they would reconcile but that might be impossible now. Hak felt betrayed too many times and there's a limit to how much he can handle. Look at the faces Hak was making while talking to Su-won. He's so full of despair, it's really heart-breaking. T_T

At the end of the day, no matter how much you treasure that person, and no matter how much you wanted to stay by that person's side, if you have such great differences in principles and values, it's really best to part ways. Damn, the title of the chapter is so fucking perfect. o(TヘTo) I mean, if I was also in Hak's position, I would probably do the same. Su-won, was undeniably, a good ruler in the face of other people. In the end, maybe I also failed to understand Su-won's character. Did he ever consider Yona and Hak as his precious friends? He said that he was being selfish, but it seems to me that he did not regret any of those actions that he's done. I also wonder what were the last words he told Hak. Anyway, I'd probably contemplate some more as I wait for the next chapter.

gamers i just finished A Power Unbound and i really liked it (Alan and Jack are wonderful characters and their romance was sooo lovely) but did anyone else feel like maybe Alan and Jack just didn't matter to the main plot

in my head im crafting a world where they get their "own" book and then there's a fourth book with Edwin and Violet's POVs that is actually resolving the whole Last Contract plot ........ I think the author just had too much on the plate trying to set up a new romance and resolved the last contract and Alan and Jack winded up getting lost :/

more rambling under the cut just about my thoughts on a power unbound in general (spoilers)

really I loved the romance plot between Jack and Alan them growing into their feelings for each other was amazing i loved watching two guys who are super isolated and distrusting of the world learn that it's okay to lean on each other and need help. someone finally able to take some of the weight off of Alan. "my lovely sin-eater, you need to stop" is living in my head rent free, and their final scenes after the party were so beautiful and were such a perfect conclusion. when Jack and Alan actually got to interact with each other i would forget i was frustrated with how the other half of the book was going LOL

i really wish they'd gotten more time and importance in the rest of the book though :( when the rest of the cast (cough mainly Violet and Edwin) were scheming and such, it was so easy to forget that either of them were there -- even if they didn't have much to contribute to discussions i feel like they could've at least contributed more internally. how were Jack and Alan feeling about all this stuff???

just felt like the author didn't know what to do with the non-magical characters in general. Alan not being included in the heist when he was a thief and a perturbator was absolutely bonkers. like they definitely still could've revealed the twist of Alan helping George prior to the book if he was still involved cause the most damning thing he did for that scene was write a letter to Violet

even though the two parts of the book felt pretty disjointed I was satisfied with how the Last Contract plot got resolved the ending to the series in general was really solid. + Alan and Jack's ending obliterated me (affirmative). i want to write like that one day. i loved the epilogue it was so cute :') a happy ending for everyone that was well earned. love Adelaide and Robin getting married for legal reasons they are so QPP to me. Edwin kissing Robin in front of everyone for the first time in the group's little after party was so cute T_T

overall verdict on the book: pretty positive despite the glaring issues i had with it, Alan and Jack's part of the story was so captivating to me that it still made the book extremely enjoyable even with my grievances about it. going to be thinking about their romance for a long time

overall verdict on the series is i loved it, i'm going to miss the world i definitely will revisit this series in the future. marske's characters and worldbuilding are so captivating. i look forward to what marske writes next for sure
