I have wonderful, exciting Christmas movie news! A new actress is joining Great American Family! I have been hoping this actress, who is incredibly talented, might join this channel.
Coming THIS CHRISTMAS we will see Actress, Singer, and Broadway performer, Laura Osnes (One Royal Holiday, Christmas in Tahoe) in an all-new holiday movie for Great American Christmas!
Laura is currently filming her Christmas movie and shared a behind the scenes look of herself as a team of ladies work on her hair and makeup.
Tumblr media
Laura Osnes included the caption, "So grateful to start my mornings with these ladies, who truly brighten & set my mood for the entire day. The constant care and artistry it takes to keep my straight hair curled and my face from melting on these 12-hr, 90-degree days is beyond. Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes magic of our new @gactv Christmas movie."
Also spotted on set (playing the card game, Uno, between scenes) are actors Adam Jackson (AJ) Hurtig and Amy Groening. AJ starred in Snowmance, and both he and Amy Groening co-starred in Project Christmas Wish, 'Tis the Season to be Merry, and Francesca Quinn, PI. Both have starred in many other rom-coms, as well.
Tumblr media
I sure hope Laura Osnes, who is such an amazing, beautiful singer, will have the opportunity to sing in this new Christmas movie.

Erin Agostino (Cider and Sunsets) also recently revealed on social media that she's currently filming something new for GAF, too.
*Please note: the image above is from IMDB and not from her new movie.
🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Danica McKellar shared a cute picture on set of her movie with her hair up - because it's so hot while they are filming. I'm sure she and her mystery co-star will act like it's freezing.

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Paul Greene (not sure if his movie is for sure for GAF, yet.) is still filming his Christmas movie. He shared an outdoor set pic with his followers.

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Dan Payne (Christmas on Candy Cane Lane) is also currently filming a Christmas movie. Also, like Paul, I don't have any confirmation, yet, that it is for GAF.

Jessica Lowndes and Trevor Donovan have shared plenty of videos and pictures from the set of their upcoming Great American Family Fall-themed movie, Apples, Orchards, and Romance. Here are some of the images that I've captured...

Well, that's all for today!
I'm also aware of another Christmas movie coming to GAF, but I learned this news from other sources, and I don't feel like it's right to share until the actors involved or Great American Family has the opportunity to share. Stay tuned! It looks like another great one!

Here's an article by Memphis reporter Bill E. Burk recalling how the events of 16th August 1977 unfolded.
---------------------------------
PART ONE
I had just finished taping my daily five-minute sports show at WMPS Radio in downtown Memphis and handed the tape to news director Dan Sears so he would air it at 5.55pm, as usual, little knowing that events that would take place in the next few minutes, hours, would change our lives for years to come.
After leaving the station, I looped around the south expressway to Interstate 55 for McKellar golf course, immediately south Of Memphis International Airport, where would meet my son for 18 holes of golf on the warm afternoon of August 16. 1977. As my car climbed the ramp onto I-55, headed south, a Fire Department ambulance, siren wailing, red lights flashing, entered I-55 northbound.
I looked across the median and saw the ambulance and laughed silently, remembering how, in my first year at the old Memphis Press Scimirar, my job would have been to follow that ambulance to the hospital and see if there was a story involved.
But not this time, the city had grown and our ways of gathering news had changed. I continued south to the golf course. Meanwhile, back at WMPS, Sears was on the air doing his live news at 1pm. The format called for 23 minutes of news, a one minute break for a commercial and then finish the five minutes with news.
News director Dan Sears takes up the story: "During the break, a newly-hired reporter slipped me a written note that simply said Elvis had died. I looked at her in amazement and asked where this report had come from and she said Baptist Hospital had called. I asked was she sure and she said she was. I asked her again if it had been confirmed she said it had come from the hospital.
“I had less than 10 seconds until the commercial was over to make a decision to air what I was holding on that piece or paper. As I turned the microphone back on, I simply said I had handed a report that the King of Memphis has died… Elvis has died. I told the listeners we had no information and we would broadcast updates as soon as possible.”
“I looked at the DJ, Doc Damon and he had this stunned look on his face, as well as I am sure I had. I left the news booth and rushed to our newsroom expecting a flurry of phones and bells ringing on the Associated Press wires sounding the bulletin of his death. There was an eerie silence, the AP wires had no mention of Elvis dying. I wondered aloud why nothing was happening and asked the reporter who from Baptist Hospital had called and she said, “Oh, a nurse who is one of our listeners.”
"My lower jaw must have hit the floor. We did not have an official report! Simply a tip from someone who listened to our station. I Immediately called AP with our report and they could not believe it. Wouldn't believe it. We dispatched reporter Mike Donegan to Baptist and he reported back he noticed several police cars and people beginning to gather. About that time the news wires began to feed the story that Elvis was dead. WMPS was credited on AP's first bulletin as source of the information.”
"Sadly the tip was true. I had been, by an hour, the first person in the world to announce the death or [he King of Rock n Roll. I almost feel somewhat villainous to have been person who first brought the sad news. It is a bittersweet story and my most infamous moment”.

Brumbies analysis, Morgan Turinui exclusive column for WWOS
The unbeaten Brumbies have started the Super Rugby Pacific season in fine fashion. Their brand remains very similar to the Dan McKellar era but, as Stephen Hoiles and I discussed on Rugby Heaven, there are already signs of the Stephen Larkham influence. The scary thing for their opposition is that the Brumbies can, need to and most definitely will, improve. Watch the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific…

The Wallabies have suffered a major blow to their Rugby World Cup plans with assistant coach Dan McKellar taking up a position in England with the Leicester Tigers. McKellar, the former Brumbies coach, has worked with the Wallabies forwards since 2021 and had previously been identified as the likely successor to Dave Rennie. But the dramatic arrival of Eddie Jones on a long term contract changed…

Wallabies aiming for world’s best maul
Settling into his role as full-time Wallabies forwards coach, ex-Brumbies boss Dan McKellar wants Australia to develop the best maul in international rugby. The Wallabies will get a litmus test of their forward strength against England in their opening Test in Perth on Saturday night. But it won’t be the end game on McKellar’s watch as he looks to make the Wallabies’ maul – a major weapon for the…

The World Rugby directive that was ignored in the Wallabies' quest for the 'best maul in the world'
The World Rugby directive that was ignored in the Wallabies’ quest for the ‘best maul in the world’
Dan McKellar’s priorities at the Wallabies are absolutely clear: to produce the best maul in the world and “genuine physicality and brutality” in everything they do. In the physical arms race of rugby test forward fights, there is no room for hesitation. World Rugby is trying to temper the sport’s growing physique, with varying degrees of success, but men like McKellar can’t afford a step…

Movie Review: Christmas She Wrote
Soooo this wasn’t very good.  I don’t know what it was about the movie, but I didn’t connect with it at all.  I feel they put it together like walking up and down the aisles at a grocery store.
Put in one self help writer, who has issues herself.  One plucky single sister with her daughter.  The gay assistant.  Man who never followed his own dreams.  Cranky boss (who was also the cranky owner of a museum in Christmas in Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing).
I was just bored unfortunately.

Dave Porecki welcomes threat of Wallabies star Tolu Latu ahead of World Cup, Brett Hodgson
Dave Porecki believes following the Brumbies’ rotation policy can not only help the Waratahs but his own World Cup chances, too. Up until 2023, the Brumbies had the luxury of having two Test regulars in the same specialist loose-head prop position. James Slipper would start one week, Scott Sio the next. 50 minutes one week, 30 the next. The depth allowed Dan McKellar to keep both Test stars fit…
