overly long explaination

Hey everyone. 

This is @dana-chan325

I guess I need to explain what all happened to me. Since everyone probably wondered where I am. 

Sometime around December 4th, my primary tumblr logged me out without my permission and forced me to change my password.

This normally wouldn’t be a problem.... but the email associated with my account was from a domain that no longer exists, and I was unable to retrieve my primary account or prove the account belonged to me in the first place. 

On top of that, I ended up catching Covid. Yeah, that’s right, the big virus everyone’s in a panic about. 

The only good side is I have had it now, so I don’t need to worry about getting it again. Aside from a lingering cough, all my symptoms are gone and I will get back to work soon

I was out of state when I caught it and wasn’t able to go back to my apartment for ten days. And on top of that, was unable to work. (due to me being a plauge to mankind for like ten to fourteen days) 

Reminder that I still have a

or Patreon 

and I’m fairly active on those. (patreon even has stuff I didn’t upload to tumblr yet.)

And so you know, I’m not abandoning the post-florpus AU. all my art and stuff will defiantly be posted to this account now.

I don’t think I’ll repost all my old art here. The Florpus AU art is still on my old account where people can see it. 

I just won’t be able to update old posts for what comes next in the saga so I am relying entirely on the word of mouth on everyone else. 

(The next arc is the “back to skool” arc btw...which you can see I listed in the masterpost where it’s gonna take place. ) 

My only regret was that I could not answer someone’s ask about GIR. 

That and all of my drafts for “rant wips” were deleted. 

The rants and analysis will still be up on my old blog. Those won’t go anywhere. 

But yeah, this blog will pretty much be like the old one. I’ll write rants, and fanfic, and draw. And reblog things from friends. 

I am so sad that my old blog just kinda lingers in cyberspace like that. I get sentimental and when a blog that I’ve had since 2012 just won’t let me back in... it’s sad...

RIP @dana-chan325 and my 2,000 followers. :’( 

Anyways... Spread the word. Direct people here and to the new masterpost. 

I also apologize to all my old Naruto Fandom buddies who will probably have no idea where I am now.

I like that in the real game a "round" can last from like 10-40 mins (depending) ...But like in your "Among Us"-Verse everyone is just trapped on this ship for eternity with no progress made anywhere from either side. I just like the idea of all these dumbasses being trapped on a ship on a ten year voyage. The doors are sealed and all the stupidity is trapped inside.

Mini-Moose rarely walks with Zim from skool. (but that's just mostly because every episode/movie he was featured in didn't have skool in the picture) ... I like to think MM picked him up from skool like a parent cause MM just does what he wants like that. This leads me to believe that Mini-Moose is surveying Zim almost like a special needs dog. Ready to be there and assist if Zim passes out from all the errors, mental drain,fatigue and malnutrition he's experiencing lately.

Minimoose's new mission is off to a bit of a rough start 👀

Minimoose was a little quicker to catch onto the whole Zim-being-sick situation than Gir (though Gir has been aware that something is wrong for a while) and has decided to take it upon himself to be Zim's unofficial babysitter until things improve.

Zim does not approve (obviously). Mainly because he doesn't want to acknowledge that anything is wrong in the first place.

By the time part 9 happens, Zim has pretty much given up trying to shoo Minimoose away and is actually enjoying the company a little.

I mean, it sure beats spending hours alone in the lab trying to fix a communication system that isn't broken

☕️ Tumblr?

Like a lot of people, I have kind of a love/hate relationship with Tumblr.

(More under the cut for people who want to read a coffee-fueled ramble about Tumblr.)

The site is constantly glitching, I can’t ever find any of my old posts even with tags, etc., etc. One time, I changed my background color from pink to black, and Tumblr held my account hostage for having “adult content” on my blog. It’s just a hot mess.

As for actual content, I’m constantly torn.

I’m on Tumblr a lot, so I obviously don’t despise it. I’d probably never find some of the silly, goofy posts I see here on any other site. Every now and then, I’ll come across something pretty insightful, too. It’s also nice to be able to interact with fellow writers and artists.

As for how it’s set up, it’s very well-suited for me. I don’t have to worry about maintaining some sort of perfect façade since everything here is largely anonymous. I just don’t like social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram. I hate taking pictures of myself, and I don’t feel the need to constantly update everyone and their goat on my life. Here, I can just chat about my hobbies and whatnot without feeling any pressure.

On the other hand, anonymity has kind of a dark side to it. The ability to be anonymous really brings out the worst in people.

Sometimes the content here drives me insane. I’m really not a judgmental person, but some people here are just a bit too much to handle. I’ve had to unfollow people for posting/reblogging too many political things that they don’t tag properly.

I’ve had to do the same thing to people who hold really extreme views that I just can’t get on board with. I couldn’t imagine holding such extreme views or getting so worked up over random things. One minute, I’ll checking out IZ fanart pics on my dash, and the next minute, I’m reading a 10-mile long discourse post on the evils of almond milk, where several misinformed people are automatically roasted into oblivion by really wound-up strangers hiding behind a keyboard. It’s mostly shit like that that just makes me… tired?

I can’t recall a single political discourse post on this site that actually reads like a civilized political debate. It’s more like a circle jerk fueled by group polarization. This site ends up being a slippery slope, where anyone who doesn’t 100% agree with a political viewpoint is automatically seen as the “enemy.”

And besides, I’m not on here for politics. I don’t want to constantly be angry and annoyed. If I wanted to research the evils of almond milk, I would search for credible sources online. I wouldn’t just mindlessly believe the wisdom of PussySlayer420 on Tumblr.

As for fandom, I absolutely understand how people can be relentlessly bullied on Tumblr to the point of leaving the fandom altogether. Again, I want to attribute that to anonymity. People get awfully brave behind a keyboard.

Any site like Tumblr that allows for easy anonymity (such as Reddit, Discord, or even Twitter) ends up being kind of a breeding ground for discourse. It dissolves into a lot witch hunting and petty drama.

All of that said, I firmly believe that you curate your own experience on social media. Don’t like someone? Block them. I’ve blocked a lot of people on this site. Far more than any other social media platform I’m on, in fact.

I mean, it bums me out. I don’t take pride in making enemies. But in order for me to have the best experience I can in the IZ fandom on Tumblr, it is necessary.

Anyhow, this is just kind of the tip of the iceberg. There are way more issues with Tumblr that I could go and on about, and it would probably end up in a full-blown essay about the pros/cons of anonymity online. 

I haven’t even discussed one of the most important things of all: the dangers that exist on anonymous platforms like Tumblr. Some weird people exist on the internet. Some dangerous people exist on the internet. Be safe. Use discretion.

I’m going to cut myself off here, though. I already feel like I’m rambling. Eh, this shitshow of a response could probably be summed up with this final message: just be safe on the internet. And don’t be afraid to unfollow/block people or blacklist certain things if it would be better for your mental health.

I think what I really love about the Spacejunk au is that it's an au where Dib won essentially. And he has to confront everything terrible he has done and let happen, and Zim gets severely humbled/broken through his trauma. And there's nothing else to do or say between them, but they build a new friendship from those ashes when Dib is forced to leave the planet from saving Zim in the first place. It's not perfect but they built something new.

I’m glad you like it! For me it is fun to explore about how both characters would change after dealing with such situations and how it would make them closer.

I mean, it seems that hurt is the only option that I can think to make them friends, huh? Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You mentioning the Bleach story reminded me of the time that I chugged a bottle of my Great Grandma's heart medication when I was six cause I thought it was candy. ...they gave me charcoal and I think I got my stomach pumped. All I remember was the teddy bear they gave me (I threw up on) and the ride in the ambulance. But yeah... Eating dangerous chemicals we shouldn't squad.

I want to say I love your art and your comic. Your art is adorable and makes me happy. Has that old school nicktoons vibe but if you replaced all the grossout edge of the 90s and early 2000s with just soft and happy colors and linework. I hope you keep creating. Love your stuff. Have a nice day

I guess growing up during the late 90s kinda impacted my style, which I’m not complaining! And I’m glad you like my linework, sometimes my hands get shaky and I think it looks weird, so thank you! Some small Iz lore I always found interesting, Zim actually plays videogames in the small downtime he has. (Not much in the show cus he's scheming) But shown in the pilot, he plays the same vampire piggy Hunter Gaz likes. And does tell keef he has videogames. Idk I kinda always felt like they could be friends eventually. Sickzim would have more downtime (being sick) so there's a possibility of being online gamer friends before even knowing eachother irl.
