i think my posture has genuinely started to get a bit better since i started working out, specifically lifting weights, and it's kinda insane to me

#like i have really shitty posture. i am a sloucher. have been since very young #and i never really had an issue with it until i saw my senior dance solo & i was dead center in front slouching and went "... shit' #so i very very recently started working with a trainer at home and even though it hasn't been that long #i swear i can feel my posture getting slightly better. i still slouch but less i'm able to stand and sit straighter longer #like i still need to work on it and honestly i doubt my posture will ever be perfect. but it FEELS better already yk? #plus i have shrimp arms and need to build more muscle anyways #*meme voice. you know the one* they weren't lying. lifting weights does help your posture and is good for you.

yall. discovering the good omens parody made me rewatch @thehillywoodshow parodies i remember from my teenhood and.

this makes me experience shrimp emotions. idk where to even start explaining how this makes me feel. but ig i will try

like first of all the fact that ive watched enough of this show to know all the references. and that all these references happened at all and this show happened at all and that i watched most of it and loved it as a teen. its like awe and suprise and nostalgia and sadness and joy and a little bit of mortification but then vindication for having been so passionate about something and enjoying it

second of all the song, im not a massive fan of swift and never really was but shake it off and a lot of her stuff was pretty unavoidable during those years, and i def cant deny this and others are absolute bops and still make me smile and dance... and the message is positive and fun, the way lyrics are changed in the parody mostly fit really well and sound really good so its a song i can enjoy without the context too

and how its like. intentionally combining this... idea of a misogynistic perception of fandom that used to be a lot more prominent, of like the "squeee fangirl" and just being super silly and fun because why the fuck not! and combining it with this show, which is (at least at the start meant to be) more like kinda broody and classically masculine and stuff, and just embracing that combination so genuinely and happily, it was so wonderful to see in 2015 and still so wonderful, and such a fuck you to THA HATERS literally

and just. the production quality is incredible and inspiring, theres so much going on so many scenes and so many meme and culture and show references that bring a smile to my face, the cosplay is wonderful and high quality and makes me want to cosplay spn(really? oh god) for the first time again...

and the fact that they got so many actors and people involved with the show involved!! seeing fancontent aknowledged by "official" sources is still pretty baffling to me sometimes, and it def wasnt as regular in 2015 as it is now to my knowledge, so this was super BIG and awesome back then...

i fell off the latter end of spn, so the only like offical fan depictions and fandom aknowledgements in the series itself i remember are Fan Fiction and the novels and the larper ghostbusters?? or whatever, and those werent always the most sympathetic, or rather made fun of the fandom... which like, parody is fine, spn is a fun meta show, but it did often feel somewhat meanspirited and disapproving, which i understand but dont like. So seeing a fan-MADE parody that is just genuinely celebrating the work AND its fans is such a joy!!!

im just... :') god what a wonderful video and time to look back on and remember, it makes me so happy this exists

What's something that absolutely disgusts your muse?

the concept of a joyless home… lol he hates it. he likes joy in the living space. even if it’s just quiet, introverted, chill joy where ur enjoying urself in silence. maybe in front of the tv playing ur playstation or out in the garden or whatever. or that loud, open kind of joy where people are coming in and standing around the kitchen talking. stuffy households make him so anxious. and yeah like… he spends a lot of time by himself at home, but hes usually having a good time either in his little art space or up taking care of his plants on the rooftop or just like. cooking???

this mostly stems from his childhood… he has a lot of aunts and uncles. 6 on each side! so lots of cousins. everyone taking turns eating from the same big ass serving of clay pot shrimp and a side of butter garlic noodles. aunties gossiping, uncles sitting around and talking about work, younger cousins running around and older cousins just kind of congregated and complaining about growing up millennial / gen x glfdjgkld.

a happy home is a home that he wants and homes absent of any kind of happiness make him so………. upset lldkgjfgf. if vi finds himself in the orbit of someone with a joyless home, then he brings that joy himself. he likes to bring warmth and comfort in a lot of ways :))) whether it be dancing around ur kitchen and makin u dumplings…. or smoking a joint on the bed and just looking at memes. showing u pictures of cats and listening to some music.

Cooking was something that Frye found was quite fun to do, as well as quite useful, too. It was perfect for making all sorts of new flavor combinations, as well as for recreating the tastes of home that she longed for so badly! And any sense of familiarity that she could get in this city was incredibly welcome, even if all of the new things she could find made for a fun adventure, too.

At the moment, she was practically dancing, hopping and spinning around on her feet in ever the impatient display as she waited for her roommate to come join her in the kitchen, the smell of fried shrimp that she had just finished preparing mere moments ago hanging in the air. Believe it or not, inklings not only did eat seafood, but it was actually quite a common menu item for them, at that.

It was just that, obviously, there was a pretty major difference between eating the unevolved life that could still be fished up from the depths of the sea, and trying to eat your neighbor.

Regardless, Frye was pretty sure she had seasoned these things perfectly, and so she wanted to get Break's opinion on them right away, as well as to ask him what kind of sauces he thought would go well with them. She already had her own ideas in mind, of course! But if they were going to be living together anyways, she might as well get his opinion on it too. After all, maybe he'd come up with something she had never even heard of before, given how they were from entirely different worlds.

"Sure" he doesn't even hesitate. Listen, out of everyone he is the one most willing. "Just the back?" yeah, he is willing to have even his face used as a canvas, and he's taking his shirt off as soon as you tell him you want to use his back to do art. If you only use his back, he's going to be kind of shrimping while eating some popsicle and scrolling through his phone hah. He'd occasionally straighten up to show you some fun meme he saw or some stupid video he found interesting. Sometimes he gets bored of doing that and he'd be staring at the ceiling, trying to guess what you're doing in his back. "A flower? Wha- What do you mean not even close?" as he giggles it all away.

His favorite things you could draw on his back would be: Anything pastel, the sea, meaningful things only you two would get, or even a very artistic jojo meme. Either way he's snapping pictures of it all.

Nova

"...What? Why my back?" he's absolutely not getting it. Sure, you could've asked if you could get some painting books, materials, or anything really, but his... Back? Won't it be a mess? Won't it take forever to wash off...? Worse of it, won't it disappear at some point? It's going to take a liiiiittle bit of bothering him long enough until he gives up. He's going to lay facing down and probably fall asleep while you do whatever you want on his back, or he tries at least, the brush is kind of ticklish and you can see him flinching and clearing his throat to contain a laugh. Nova is mostly silent, sometimes asking you about what kind of art you're doing but otherwise just zooming out. You can take as many pictures as you want, and he'll probably stay in bed as much as he can before he gotta clean it all up, with YOUR help of course.

His favorite things you could draw on his back would be: Wings, plushies or aka. cute animals.

Body painting? He has done something similar before actually. It was more of an artistic thing, getting paint all over himself, dancing it away, just a very artistic type of performance, but it's been so long since he did that. No one really knows this much about him, really, but he won't deny you if you suddenly had the urge to do that, but you'll have to offer something really nice in return~ While he'd rather have you paint his chest (facing you seems more entertaining after all) he'd let you use his back too. Who knows? Maybe if your art is fancy enough, he can show it off in the host bar by going shirtless or with a see-through shirt that day.

Okay! So the playlist I'm using I've called Mood Lift - though really Energy Lift is more accurate. This is my dancing/cleaning/soup making playlist. Let's put it on shuffle and here we gooooo:

Opps - Vince Staples & Yugen Blackrock. From the Black Panther soundtrack, love the thudding drums. This one is on a subplaylist in my mind - Songs to Rob a Bank To.

Sidekick - WALK THE MOON. This is just a very happy song for me. Always gets me moving. Bonus as good song for soundtracking a friends to friends-with-benefits who are still pining helplessly sort of story.

Daisy - Fang Island. Someone once described Fang Island music as the feeling you get when everyone is high-fiving everybody else, and this song is really the perfect encapsulation of that feeling.

Shrimp - Dessa. I love Dessa, and this minute-long autobiographical rap won me over with the line, "Always a bridesmaid....NEVER AN ASTRONAUT!" Also, random trivia, this was my pandemic handwashing song.

Handclap - Fitz and Tantrums. Always good for an energy hit!

Liquid Lunch - Caro Emerald. While I've wandered away from it, I did have a steampunk phase, and a takeaway from it is a lingering love of electroswing - expecially this song.

Graffiti - CHVRCHES. Sometimes you just want electronic eighties inspired female fronted goodness, and CHVRCHES always delivers. Even if I do have to spell the band name out three times to get it right.

bad guy - Billie Eilish. Also on the Songs to Rob a Bank To playlist. It's the snapping. Love a song with a menacing snap.

Shut Up and Drive - Rihanna. Gets me dancing!

Ballroom Blitz - Sweet. So, fun fact about me. I make toffee sometimes. And toffee making requires that you vigorously stir a pot for twelve straight minutes. Ballroom Blitz is the best song I've found for getting through the 7-11 minute slump. It's even got a scream in a good spot for when the sugar mixture starts to thicken and it feels like my arm is going to fall off.

Fantasies in the common aspect of the word go into complicated territory for him. He grew up in a largely matriarchal system and a lot of the sex available out in the net tended to objectify women to weird degrees - but we know those are not great examples. After 'Crave' and Panam's teasing, shower sex sky-rockets to the top of the list, but Nomad camps have open showers and he's frankly not really comfortable with a public display, so they don't have it as often as he'd like to.

They do, however, end up having a lot of sex with the open night sky above - back of trucks with a mattress, camps in the middle of nowhere, you name it. So I guess that you can definitely put that in the list because he is a romantic fella and nothing more romantic than some sweet lovin' under the stars and moonlight.
