Hi all! So I wanted to participate in this trend but because I’m me and I have no chill, I replaced the sprites with drawings of the characters I’ve done from either illustrations or animations!

Going back through my camera roll to find all of these made it abundantly clear I don’t draw thh characters nearly as much as V3 and Sdr2 lol. Clearly I’ll need to rectify that.

Chihiro Fujisaki and Mondo Owada (Danganrompa): i love them individually and i love their gym buddies dynamic. chihiro really admires him and mondos kind of a women respecter so they are maximum unlikely friendship. they could have been so much if not for the Dangan Ronpa i think they should play video games together.

Jayfeather and Briarlight (Warriors): Jayfeather is a cat doctor, but he's also blind and faces daily ableism from the clan (which is not the greatest idea i mean he's your only medic he can kill you and hide the body why are you making him unhappy??? he also totally has the temperament to kill you and hide the body) and Briarlight is a happy go lucky apprentice until a tree falls on her (long story short) and she finds herself paralysed from the torso (or whatever cats have in that area) down. She thus takes permanent residence in the medicine place and for some 20 books or so becomes the best friend and confident of Jayfeather.

Mika Kagehira and Arashi Narukami (Ensemble Stars): They're very sweet to each other. Mika's uncomfortable around other guys, and Arashi's a trans girl at their otherwise all-boys school, so they're perfect friends. Arashi's very refined and ladylike, while Mika's kind of a feral kitten who's canonically into eroguro, so their aesthetics are opposite, but they're very good friends.

I started watching Stop!Hibari because the premise was kinda Neat and there are A Lot of things to say in general about it but one thing that’s getting to me rn is…

Okay so there are 3 characters that I’m thinking about when it comes to this. 1 and 2 are from My High School Romantic Comedy Snafu and 2 is from Baka to test. Tw transphobia and misgendering discussed

Saika and Hideyoshi are both characters who look feminine and the main characters are attracted to them but are guys. Like, they very consistently label themselves as guys and I’m pretty sure Hideyoshi was very weirded out by how the guys sexualized him. These guys are feminine because that’s just how they look but 100 percent identify as men and the insistence on not recognizing them as men is their peers being douche bags and dealing with ‘oh no I’m attracted to a feminine man does this make me gay?’ By not actually dealing with it at all. This isn’t knocking on anyone who saw that ‘boy, girl, Hideyoshi‘ bathroom gag and went ‘yay Enby!’ But the literal next line is him going ‘what do you mean??? I’m a guy!” This was literally what got me interested in that show and it was like :/ misgendering isn’t cool just because the guy’s Cis- but if this is your food I’m not going to steal it from you you know?

The other character I thought of was Chihiro… I’m not getting into that other then I use she/they when talking about her with a preference for she because I think her plotline was deeply transphobic and Danganrompa has really bad gender opinions… And a lot of misogyny in general- why is it fucking like this-

Anyway Hibari is interesting in how it seems to mock both of these notions straight off the bat. Hikari isn’t having her gender pressed upon her by her classmates, she’s active in saying ‘I’m a girl’ and so far hasn’t insisted on it too strongly but you know. The dialogue pretty much states that introducing herself as she is was her choice.

It’s not a matter of ‘she’s not strong enough to be a REAL MAN’ she’s athletic and can beat the shit out of people if she wants to and damn smart. People insist that she’s doing this for sexual reasons and while she DOES have a sexuality and is shown to be straight- she’s mostly just shown to be Vibing you know? (And occasionally trolling people who insist that she is some sort of deviant)

Ohhhhhhh great question!!!!!

Under the cut for anyone who doesn’t like canon shipping content! No trigger warnings as far as I know (aside from murder mentions), and this will just be based on game #1! It does have some spoilers in it. I’m just past the prologue of game #2 so I don’t have any defined ships with that cast yet but I can update you later if you’d like ;p

I’ve read like one fic for danganrompa so I don’t have tooo many shipping opinions! But I do have a short list of faves :D

Aoi/Sakura was my absolute otp when I was watching. They are so cute. I want them to be happy. Exercise girlfriends.

Mondo/Taka is like…. You know it’s mostly canon so I respect it but oh my god they’re so LOUD and obnoxious and boyish. Background pairing material but I wouldn’t want to read a fic just about them. I don’t think.

Genocide Jill/Final Junko is just…. One of those ships that wouldn’t leave my head. I don’t know if it has Real Possibilities but I personally like it and would like to read about it

Uhhhh okay this one is problematic because of the Murder things but Chihiro/Mondo seems like it could also be sweet. Mondo respecting Chihiro and their decisions and hyping them up and all that? I think it would have been nice if they had had their exercise date and became friends :(

That’s it for the moment! I will read some fics and form some more opinions but these are all me without any fandom intervention. Which is rare!!!
