MHA 410 leak reactions (spoilered)
AFO is gone??? Just like that??? It feels like too “neat” of an end for someone who spent the last 200 years murdering thousands trying to rule the world. I guess I’m glad he cried at the end but…yeah. I’m not convinced he’s gone. I mean, we thought Bakugo was dead, then we thought Edgeshot was dead, and they’re not. Edgeshot is a sentient spool of thread at this point, but he’s alive.
Bakugo is down again (like Ochako, Shoto, etc.) This time he’s thinking about how he wanted to be like All Might and how he’s wishing Izuku good luck. Glad we get his thoughts this time around, but we still don’t know WTF he was thinking back in 362 when he took on Tomura alone.
We get a flashback saying the heroes would rather fight AFO than Tomura, because Tomura is more powerful and more mentally unstable, seeking only destruction and not any kind of power or rule. I dunno guys, they’re both pretty tough.
THE BIG ONE —> Tomura stole Danger Sense, which means *almost* all of Izuku’s powers are at risk (you all know what I think about vestige All Might — he’s not going anywhere unless he wants to because he’s made of pure will without a quirk factor).
Recall that the vestiges all represent quirk factors within the OFA quirk factor. They’re not separate quirks. And OFA cannot be stolen contrary to the will of the wielder. So how did Tomura take PART of OFA? How did he steal something within an un-stealable quirk?
IS THERE A LEAK IN OFA??
Was AFO referring to Yoichi as he was dying because Yoichi can help him? Because their “resonance” allows the AFO quirk to do something?
Oh god, Hawks was lampshading the common fandom theory that when AFO dies, all the quirks he stole will return to their original owners (or their descendants). But what if there is some truth to it? As in, they’ll all leave the copy of AFO and go to the original AFO quirk, which is still in Tomura?
Finally, Tomura was thanking AFO and thinking he should have killed Bakugo for good. But if he DID kill Bakugo for good, then AFO would have probably succeeded in taking over Tomura’s body again. So either Tomura thinks he’s a god and is untouchable, or he’s more confused than he ever was.

How ironic would it be if Danger Sense didn’t activate for Shigaraki because Deku is trying to save him instead of putting him in danger…

The most glaring disappointment in the past 24 episodes of season 6 (aside from the way Izuku's return to UA went - the crowd of angry and fearful people for their lives took to listening to a schoolgirl with a megaphone calling for their compassion) was the lack of Danger Sense when the crowd started screaming and demanding that Izuku get the hell out of the Academia. Then the manga makes it clear to us that the crowd of angry people is a danger to Izuku.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Quirk Danger Sense kicks in when someone wants to harm or attack the owner of the quirk. And further down the storyline this makes a big difference, which is why the Danger Sense did not register Toga as a danger to Izuku, because she had no intention of harming him. And all of her actions were a kind of manifestation of her love for him.
And it is precisely because Afo does not want to harm Izuku that Danger Sense did not react to the trap with the explosion.
But Bones decided to remove this important moment from Season 6, as well as many other moments that reveal the characters' actions and personalities D:

Death By A Thousand Cuts - sleepykidneko - 僕のヒーローアカデミア | Boku no Hero Academia | My Hero Academia [Archive of Our Own]
A very tired, dirt-soaked, battered, bruised and bleeding Izuku Midoriya phased in and out of consciousness in an abandoned warehouse soon after his fight with a lethal villain.
But that's okay, since someone's here to pick him up. After all, it's been so long since Dad tugged his little boy to bed.

The dynamic in Rise between the rest of the team and Leo is. so fucking funny. Because like you've got these three extremely talented individuals who all seem like perfectly reasonable people at first glance, right, but then if you squint hard enough you realize they're actually all batshit insane (affectionate) and the clown boy standing behind them is secretly their common sense.
Clown boy will occasionally put himself and the others in danger to Prove Himself or Prove Someone Wrong (see Minotaur Maze and the movie) but like otherwise... i think people forget Leo's overwhelmingly the voice of reason in most situations?

Raph, Mikey, and Donnie are all incredibly powerful boys with very specific skill sets. They are also, as a direct result of this, the WORST decision-makers on god's green earth lmao. When presented with a problem, Raph will smash, Donnie will blow shit up, and Mikey will razzmatazz. They will all run straight toward death with the same oblivious enthusiasm of a dog about to run straight into a screen door. None of them realize this and all of them think they are Extremely Good At Problem-Solving.
And the guy cursed with the common sense to realize this is literally the LAST person anyone would expect.
When you look closely, the entirety of Rise is actually a chronicle of Leo trying to find new and creative ways to keep this team of superpowered fools alive while simultaneously white-knuckling his Cool Fun Guy persona so the others don't realize he's secretly the Boring Responsible One. Haha, you know what would be Cool and Fun, guys? Not going after the Spine Breaking Bandit lol. Getting home before the sun goes up lol. Evacuating that civilian lol. Not telling the guy dangling me off a roof "you won't, no balls" lol.
The sacred struggle of every iteration of Leonardo is thanklessly wrangling the most trigger-happy siblings in the world, and Rise Leo has not escaped it. He just does an occasional shenanigan to avoid detection and his brothers fall for it every time.

Do you ever cry thinking about how Leo's driving motivation is to protect his brothers' peace? Like he literally just wants to see them safe and happy.

You know, if Danger sense is only reacting on clear intention of harm, than... that is kinda silly power.
I mean, there SO MANY mentally ill people in bnha-world, that even don't understand, what they do. And honestly, I rather have 'crazy radar' in there👀
I'm not entirely clear on the principle of the DS myself. In essence, it works if the owner of the quirk is in immediate danger - to be captured, wounded, killed. That is, evil intentions toward the person. However, we have been shown that Izuku jumps from villain to villain, just saving civilians in danger - not him. That is, the quirk radar itself is also picking up signals against other people. But it doesn't really work with Toga - she has obvious mental problems, so the quirk is just powerless here.
And it turns out the win-win combination is to surround Izuku with people with mental problems whose actions just can't be predicted - do they want to hug him or stab? Good question... either way, out of love 👀
It's a horrible quirk that can be easily hacked.
