Dug this relic out of my gallery and touched it up. I think as a witcher, Danny might have a blend of amber and green. And as he would be half dead, he probably wouldn't take too many contracts. I figure he's a previously dead witcher unintentionally raised by a witch and just wanders through the world looking for someone who can just put him out of his misery. Maybe crash at Kaer Morhen and sleep literally for months.

I was tagged by @nonamemanga a while ago but I didn't have time to do this until now! Thank you for thinking of me!

1. How many works do you have on AO3? Thirty Eight! (37 on my account and 1 that is currently anonymous!)

2. What's your AO3 word count? 170,914 (oooh!)

3. What fandoms do you write for? Netflix's Wednesday (2022), DC Comics (Mostly Batman), Danny Phantom. Other fandoms I have written for but I wouldn't consider myself as currently writing for are; Disney's Descendants first film, Teen Wolf, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them the first film and Netflix's The Witcher. If we're counting my long-abandoned fanfiction account I have also written Dr Who fic, I think maybe a Sherlock one and Without a Trace (2002-2009)

4. What are your Top 5 Fics by Kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? If I can think of something to say! I can't always though unfortunately.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I generally write the most unrepentant fluff so I think Once Bitten, Never Shy? But I still wouldn't classify that as angst.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Again, most of them are pretty happy! I'm not going to reread 38 fics to check but the overall fluffiest, happiest AU I've written that comes to mind is The Only Garden My Heart Will Ever Grow In.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I don't think I've gotten hate in my comments but I did get an unkind comment on Tumblr fairly recently saying I needed to get a lot more feedback before publishing (I do have betas) - amongst other less friendly suggestions.

9. Do you write smut? No sorry. When reading fics I'll be like "Hmm this unsafe-kink, publicly-set, PWP is a little too vanilla." But when writing I'm like, "They kiss...with the tongue....I guess."

10. Do you write cross-overs? Yep! A bunch! I haven't always loved crossovers but over the last few years I've really come to enjoy them. On my account is a few DC x DP fics (Danny Phantom and DC Comics) and one, very poorly written Batman and The Witcher I never want to think about again.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated? Niet.

12. Have you ever cowritten a fic before? Yes! Not all of them are published and I don't think I currently have a cowritten fic on my ao3 account but yes, as a process. I enjoy it but also find it challenging to blend writing approaches and deal with time zones.

13. What is a WIP you would like to finish but doubt you ever will? All my fics are completed. However I just begun a new AU (Wyler) that's VERY ambitious so we'll see how that goes.

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship? Malec. Have I ever written a Malec fic? No. Will I? Probably not. The fandom is low key intimidating. But in my heart I have so many AUs.

15. What are you writing strengths? I think my comedy and worldbuilding?? Maybe? I'd feel more confident if a reader of mine weighed in on this.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? Length. It took me almost the whole year to get to the end of A Standing Reservation in the Eye of the Storm. I'll never be one of those people who can smash out 30k in a few days.

17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I'm not 1000% sure what this question refers to. I think it's important to check that any real-world language is written correctly. But with real-world languages AND conlangs, ensuring readability is so important. My preference is probably the sentence in English with the dialogue tags something like "he said in flawless Mando'a" but an immediate translation in parentheses at the end of the paragraph (hover text is good but doesn't work on mobile) is decent OR have the in-text reply make the dialogue fully evident:

"3456 234567 2345?"

"Oh, I love this song too, I'd love to dance with you!"

Encoded footnotes are alright, and my detested option is full separated out glossaries that give the meaning of each word used for me to string into correct order for each sentence. A headache.

18. First fandom you wrote for? Can't be sure...I think I was involved in a Five Find-Outers and Dog fanfic (not that I used that word) as a child that never made it near a computer, let alone the internet.

19. Favourite fic you’ve ever written? OH easily A million years ago, last night & at the end of all things (also known as AMYAL). The words flowed and I loved every moment. However, I did also love writing Espy Me, While I Watch You back in 2017. I wish the third story in the AMYAL verse came 1/3rd as easy.

20. What fic would you want to rewrite one day? None! Often after a fic is fully published I never think about it aga...That's all a total lie and I feel sad DAILY over the complete hash I made of Pry This Home From My Cold, Dead Mountain because I loved my au so much and I failed to show anyone why. It was just NOT good.

Any crossover pairings that you have on a bucket list?

(OOPS you sent this months ago and I saw it and thought "I'll reply to that later!" and then it simply left my brain entirely, sorry about that! I hope you see this nonny!)

Crossover pairings? As in ship pairings? No, not really. I can appreciate the hilarity and audacity of ships where the characters have literally never interacted (or aren't even from the same property) but it's not really a thing that makes my brain buzz enough to write about it. The motivation for me comes at least some percent out of seeing canon interactions and going "but what if more/better/different?"

In terms of crossovers in general, there's a lot of like, I have fun spitballing AU ideas (eg, I have a whole little thing somewhere back in my writing tag about a witcher AU of MDZS) and holding two properties up next to each other and going "what if?" (crossovers of Kids From Towns Where Weird Shit Happens, eg gravity falls/danny phantom, never cease to entertain me) but it rarely gets beyond the bullet points stage. Real true crossover fic is,,, an investment. At least for me. Bc it's gotta be so much about the lore and the how and the figuring out how these things interact with each other. Which is fun! But time consuming and difficult if you actually want to write an entire fic about it. And there's a lot of other fics I'd rather be writing.

Witcher x Danny Phantom crossover

“Jaskier…” Gerald’s voice was filled with… a lack of emotion. But there was definitely a hint of concerned disappointment.

The Bard was starting at him in confusion, quite indifferent to the creature curled over his shoulders and staring at Geralt with unnaturally green eyes that seemed to glow even in midday light. It resembled a human child, if a human child could glow, had hair that was whiter than freshly fallen snow, floated, and had some sort of spectral tail instead of legs. Said tail was lazily wrapping around Jaskier’s left arm, the other half barely peeking over his right shoulder, little white clawed fingers gently curled over the shoulder.

The only reason he hadn’t drawn his sword was fear that the creature could slice off the Bard’s head before he could even touch his weapon. Jaskier didn’t seem to realize the danger he was in. That was some sort of specter, he wasn’t sure if it could be a wraith or a banshee, though banshees were thought to be only female spirits, either ghost was extremely dangerous.

“Come on, he has to be related to you! Look at his hair! And freaky eyes!” Those ‘freaky eyes’ were still staring at Geralt, wide and filled with some sort of emotion… not anger… curiosity? “You and Ciri have white hair! And weird eyes… oh wait this may actually be Ciri’s kid…” Jaskier trailed off, probably remembering the woman’s green eyes. “But no… this kid is too old and she’s what? 20? 25?”

“Jaskier!” Geralt snapped, causing the Ghost to flinch down behind Jaskiers shoulder, instead opting to stare at him from under Jaskier’s stretched out arm.

“Look, this is a kid with…” he glanced at the ghost, “weird… everything! I thought maybe you would at least know what to do!”

“We send it back to the grave is what we do.”

The ghost’s eyes went even wider and it pulled back fully to hide almost entirely behind Jaskier, the only indication that it was still there being it’s tail still being wrapped around Jaskier’s arm, which the Bard continued to throw around. “Oh for fucks sake-!” The bard swore, twisting to look at the Spector behind him, “you made him cry! Damnit Geralt, I know you aren’t a gentle bloke but he’s only 14! You know what!! Fuck you! I don’t need your help!!” Jaskier threw up his arms, spinning away from Geralt and exposing the ghost for a split second, before the ghost realized this and quickly scrambled to hide from Geralt’s view behind Jaskier again.

That split second was enough for Geralt to take in more information. He wore some sort of leather armour, dyed pitch black, his clawed fingers also appeared to be covered with white dyed leather gloves, and he had a white dyed leather belt around his waist with various pouches hanging off of it. Then there was the fact that the Spector wasn’t transparent. In fact, it was completely solid. That thing wasn’t a ghost. Not completely.

“Come on, kid. We don’t need the big scary Witcher!”

“That��s a Witcher?”

If Geralt hadn’t faced monsters and death on a daily basis, he would have jumped at the small voice that echoed from the creature, the noise not natural in any aspect and lingered on the ears. “Jaskier, that thing will kill you!”

Jaskier angrily spun around again, causing the creature scramble to hide again as the Bard pointed an angry finger at him, “this ‘thing’ has saved me way more than you ever have! And! And he was way more gentle about it! Do you know how much it hurts when you get saved and your saviour tells you it’s because you were acting stupid? Of course not because all you do is stare and grunt and give those looks- that look! That look right there!” Geralt was tempted to roll his eyes. “Danny, here, he saved me and then he asked if I was okay after! You never ask me if I’m okay! Just grab me and toss me then disappear like you always do!” This caused Geralt to pause.

“He… saved you?” He carefully asked.

Jaskier paused mid rant, “uh, yeah! Something about a burning building, the details aren’t important but basically he flew in, picked me up, flew me through a wall and saved me from burning alive. Everyone else in town chased him out after he saved their asses and I went looking for him. Introduced myself, shared a little tune I made for him while I was looking for him, and he hasn’t left my side since.”

“Ghosts don’t do that.”

“This one does! And Danny is the best companion I ever had! This kid can knock a bear out with a punch! So I would rather you not kill my brand new favourite person.”

“You can’t kill a ghost, they are already dead,” Geralt deadpanned.

“Danny isn’t a ghost,” Jaskier sneered.

Geralt sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, “then what is he, expert of monsters and beasts?”

“That’s why we came to find you! Danny doesn’t know, and I don’t know, so we thought you would know! But if I knew you were going to bloody threaten him, I would have asked someone else!”

Geralt paused again, “… he doesn’t know what he is?”

“No!” Jaskier exclaimed, then glancing behind him to the ghost- whatever it was, still clinging to his back. The Bard seemed to listen to the whispered voice of the not ghost, then looked up at Geralt. “He says to throw all your weapons in the bush. And your belts of creature hurting objects.” The not ghost was peeking over Jaskier’s shoulder again, still hiding. If this thing could knock out a bear, why was he so scared of Geralt? It sounded like he had the potential to kill a Witcher.

Geralt didn’t ask why. He just grunted. This thing had been docile so far, and if anything got messy… he still had a bit of magic up his sleeve.

He did as the not ghost asked and dumped all his weapons and tools out of reach, holding up his hands to show he was unarmed.

The kid slowly uncurled from Jaskier, slipping off his shoulder and still hiding behind the bard. He peeked out from behind Jaskier’s waist, before slowly stepping fully out from behind him.

His tail was gone, replaced with legs.

Then there was a flash of light, causing Geralt to blink rapidly and look away. When he looked back, the not ghost was gone. And so was the strong aura of death, only hints still lingering around the child that stood where the not ghost had been.

Raven hair, eyes an ethereal pale blue, and inverted armour to that of what the not ghost had been wearing.

Despite it all Geralt could smell the one thing that confused him more than anything he had encountered yet.

The child was human.

for the au game, pls consider a superheroes + flatmates au

1. geralt is basically himself - a witcher but his hair and eyes change only when he “uses his powers” like danny phantom or sth. jaskier can use singing/humming and melody to change reality, creating new structures, champions to fight for them and, eventually, even kill someone that way

2. as flatmates they have similar habits and often stay up till 3am watching a stupid show that geralt pretends to hate but secretly loves

3. jaskier has a feeling geralt is lying to him about something because geralt is bad at lying, but every time he wants to sneak out after geralt, the Bard is needed. it is a huge hint but jaskier is not that smart. geralt has no idea.

4. jaskier falls in love with the witcher. geralt falls in love with his roommate, jaskier, but they both reject the other’s confession because they know that the other only knows a part of them, and feel guilty about lying.

5. they find out the truth when they have a very close call on a mission and they both stumble into the apartment, bloody and messy and exhausted and meet each other in the bathroom, looking for med-kit. exhausted confessions follow, and then jaskier kissing geralt’s wounds and singing them both better, falling asleep on jaskier’s bed, still halfway in their costumes

Favorite story you’ve written so far: I’m going to take this to mean so far in 2020, and not like overall. Because that is far too much pressure. Even 2020 is hard since there are 203 things. All Doors Lead To You was one of my favorites I did this year though. It was an endeavour plotting that out but I had a lot of fun with it.

Fic you were nervous to post: I get a little nervous with all of them. Even with how much I’ve written, it still happens. But the one I was probably most nervous about was The Best Present I Ever Got, which was major character death. I write MCD alot for the Teen Wolf fandom, but it makes me nervous doing it for other fandoms because I never know what the reception will be same. Same with unrequited love, which is why I was also nervous about Somebody Else’s Arms.

How do you choose your titles? I should say now that I usually hate naming things. Especially lately, when I’ll think of a title for something and then realize I’ve already used it before (which is bound to happen with 800 fics but still). Sometimes the titles come from lines from the fic or something about it, sometimes the prompt itself if there was one, and then other times song titles. I’ve started a doc with lines from songs that can work as titles so maybe that’ll help me be more creative with them 😆

Do you outline? It depends on the fic, really. I usually have a doc with notes if it’s a longer fic that I can turn to. I have outlined for a few though. Especially for Quest For Camelot, because it helps me know what I have planned for the chapters and who I wanted to write for. Which helped after I took some time away from it. I had an outline when I was writing All Doors Lead To You as well, which helped me keep track of which universe I wanted to have in which chapter and colors for doors, etc. 

Upcoming work you’re most excited about: I’m pretty excited for my fic for the Buddie Big Bang. If it turns out how I want it to, it’s definitely going to be one of my favorites that I’ve done. I have a Sterek fic I’ve been working on that I’m pretty excited about too and hope to have done in the next couple of weeks.

I’ve reached just over 50 followers and as such, I’m going to take the time to have some fun and celebrate the small milestone (god knows we could all do with some more joy nowadays).

Therefore, from now until 1st Dec 2020, I will be taking up to 51 fic requests!

They can be prompts for a new fic you want me to write (the more specific the prompt, the better), or they can be a request for me to finish a fic I’ve already got or to post an abandoned fic. Number of fics: i just did the math and i have ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY WORKS (130) ON AO3, i’m -- they are under both cuteashale and this one which i am slightly quieter abt bc i do not exactly want my personal self linked back to that ao3. i know it’s weird but that’s just how i feel man.

Fic you spent the most time on: i probably did the most RESEARCH on this dagnab fic bc i wanted the dress i wrote about to be HISTORICALLY ACCURATE for reasons i still don’t fully understand. i also spent lots of time on this one bc i wanted it to be sweet and canon compliant and PERFECT since it was for a collection

Fic you spent the least amount of time on: i can bust drabbles out pretty quickly -- and so we know, i agree with sche here on drabbles being 100-300 words. please for the love of god do not call my over 1k fic a drabble or i WILL lose my mind

Longest fic: my fics are not usually very long. i’m more of a ‘show, don’t tell’ type of writer so i think my fics are pretty succinct and to the point. i don’t know that i’ve written anything that’s even hit 5k. i DO however have rps that are upwards of 100k dfkjh which my darling @peachofwork can attest to! we don’t know when to shut up!

that being said this is my one and only multi-chaptered fic, which still only reached abt 3k lol. and this is my longest oneshot 

Shortest fic: throwing it WAY BACK to a lil sterek smut.

Most hits: another sterek fic! i was very active in the teen wolf fandom back in the day fdkjhg. people were VERY thirsty for girl stiles fics and i was very eager to quench their thirst. honestly no other hits compare to that one fkjgdh w o w

Most kudos: this is absolutely bananas but it’s a danny phantom fic??? i went through a dp...phase?? out of body experience? about 5 years ago and wrote some very self indulgent smut that i am frankly a lil embarrassed by now.

“Grandmaster,” he says, smiling. “What a pleasure. I thought you busy this evening.”

“Who, me? Too busy for—for dinner with my, my people?” He straightens, hands spread wide, and a little cheer goes up around the table. “Too, too busy for you?” His hands return to his sides, with one reaching out again to tweak Loki’s chin.

i’m also working on a capri fic that lets damen deal with some of his long buried emotions abt things that happened at the very beginning of the series but emotions are HARD and i am little baby.
