Back here after a loooooong time.
Watched the longest promise, had multiple break downs. SY is gorgeous, fuck we don't deserve his elegance. Also ZY is such a good character and their chemistry and story was *chef's kiss.
Saw an edit on twitter of SY and WY being twins. Had another break down. Came up with this disastrous and silly AU. (A mix of cql and mdzs novel) (Feel free to use it 😁)

When Baoshan Sanren took little Shi Liu to her mountain, she gave her the courtesy name Cangse and officially dubbed her as her disciple.
Years later Cangse Sanren gave birth to a twin, Shi Ying was born first, easily getting calm when put into changze's arms, named after her mother's maiden name. Then a minute later came wei ying, hollering and bawling his eyes out. Named after his father. It took a while for him to calm down in cangse's arms.
When changze asked her why the character for wei ying's first name was different than shi ying's she laughed and said he was the youngest, so of course he is my "baby".
They had four happy years together until fate decided to take away the twins parents from them.
The twins waited a year in the streets of yilling, starved homeless but having each other as company. Until one day shi ying went to find food for them but didn't return.
The rest of the story happened the same.
In the battle of nightless city wei ying jumped off the cliff ready to die, but then later he opened his eyes staring at his face looking back at him.
Later Shi ying told him that when he went to get food for them all those years ago, dogs attacked him and he was injured badly, when he finally gained his consciousness, he was told that he was brought in to the mountain by their mothers master baoshan sanren. It took two years for him to convince her to look for wei ying but by the time she went back to yilling wei ying was gone.
Shi ying then swore to become a powerful cultivator like their parents and to help people, he eventually managed to reach immortality and baoshan sanren left him the mountain and ascended to godhood. He got married to another discipline named zhu yan. He told wei ying his wife and had a similar personality to wei ying so they became fast friends :).
I guess then wei ying told him about his life and what he went through and shi ying helped him develop another core and told him he would be by his side if he ever wanted to revenge but wei ying told him there's no reason for him to get back to the cultivation world.
13 years later when a curse appeared on wei ying's arm, the twins, with zhu yan accompanying them, went to mo village together to solve the mystery of the mo manor.
Then lan zhan dealing with the fact that apparently we ying is alive(??) And has a twin brother(??) Who's literally second in power compared to immortal(now a heavenly official/god??) baoshan sanren (also shi ying is so much like him based on his manners that shufu would qi deviate again if he learns cangse sanren had another son), and tries to get along with his brother in law.

Meeting on the roof
Tumblr media
Requested by @felixphobix: for Huaze Lei what if he went to the roof one day to relax and unwind when he meets the reader and they become friends. And slowly develop feelings. Can I also request a moment where he has his head on the readers lap while the reader plays with his hair and his friends walk in on that?
Pairing: Huaze Lei x reader
Word Count: 2324 words
Warnings: there is Chinese in this, but I'm not sure if it's right since it's just from google translate so I apologize if it's wrong
A/N Sorry for the long wait, vacation didn't really allow me to write unfortunately since I barely had wifi
Opening the door, you went onto the roof. It was quiet here, except for the soft screaming you could hear from the campus and the birds chirping. You smiled shortly before noticing another person. You could recognize him anywhere with his curly brown hair. Huaze Lei was leaning on the edge, staring out into the sky quietly. He heard the door close behind you though, turning his head until he saw you. You gave an awkward wave towards him as you walked to the edge as well, leaning on it before glancing at the man next to you. He looked at you as well, giving you a smile before looking forward again.
"You needed some quietness as well?" You asked and Huaze Lei nodded.
"Why do you?" He asked and you glanced down.
"Some drama in the class. Dao-Ming Si and Shan-Cai are arguing, don't remember what about. So I'll just stay here until my class starts." You explained and he chuckled.
"Yeah, that sounds like them." He answered before he walked closer to you.
"Huaze Lei." "I know... I'm (y/n) (l/n)." You replied, shaking his hand softly before awkwardly glancing away from him. Then it fell silent.
"My class starts in 5 minutes, so..." You mumbled as you glanced at your watch and he nodded.
"Nice to meet you, (y/n). Maybe we'll see each other here more often." He said and you smiled before walking away and back to your class.
That was the first time you met him.
The second time was on the roof again, but this time he was not by the edge but rather on the opposite side. He stood on a few crates by the wall, drawing on the wall with a white crayon. You got closer to him, staring at the drawing. It was a large tree, multiple branches stretching out on the wall.
"That's pretty." You commented and his hand paused as he turned around to face you, smiling.
"You think?" He asked teasingly and you rolled your eyes before glancing at his hair. It was covered, turned white instead of his brown hair and his clothes were slightly covered in dust as well.
"You're covered in crayon dust though." You laughed and he looked down to his clothes, brushing his clothes off.
"Come here." You said, getting up on the crates as well. He leaned a bit forward to match your height and you started brushing his hair out until the dust was gone before brushing off the dust on his shoulders as well.
"There." You said, giving him a smile as well before stepping down from the crates. You sat down and Huaze Lei sat next to you.
"So, why you drawing here?" You asked and he leaned back on his hands, sighing.
"It's peaceful and these walls were a bit boring, no?" He asked and you chuckled.
"So artistic of you." You teased and he chuckled, looking up to the sky.
"What about you? Why are you here?" He asked, glancing at you and you looked down.
"I had a feeling you were here." You mumbled, but he heard anyway and gave another chuckle.
"So you came to visit?" "Am I not allowed?" You asked back and he shrugged before laying down completely. You glanced at him before laying down again, staring at the sky before frowning.
"I think it's going to rain-" Just as you finished that sentence, a loud thunder sounded and it started to rain heavily. You flinched at the thunder, getting up quickly and pulling at Huaze Lei's arm. You both quickly made your way off the roof, pausing in the stairway and looking at him. He looked back at you and both of you were soaked to the bone, water still dropping to the floor from your clothes and hair. Then he started laughing and you quickly joined his laughter, leaning against the wall with a bright smile. You glanced at him again before pushing yourself of off the wall, sighing.
"We're so going to get sick..." You commented and he looked up, still smiling brightly, before shaking his head.
"I have extra clothes in my locker." He said, grabbing your wrist before marching down the stairs while dragging you behind himself. You just followed, not saying anything as you exited the stairwell. Luckily, the hallways were completely empty since classes were still going for most. You stopped at his locker and he put the combination in, opening the door. There were two sweaters in the locker and he handed you one of them.
"Thank you." You mumbled before walking to the bathroom and changing, folding your previous clothes before walking out again. You saw Huaze Lei, leaning against the wall as if he was waiting.
"Thank you again, Huaze Lei. I'll give it back tomorrow." You said and he smiled, shaking his head.
"Don't worry about it." He said and you chuckled, slowly rocking on your feet. You were about to say something, his phone started ringing. He took it out of his pocket and you could see a female's name pop out briefly.
"I have to take this." He said and you nodded, waving goodbye as you slowly stalked off. You felt a bit off jealously bubble up in your chest and groaned.
Of course the man you liked was taken...
And that depressing thought led you to a bar, sitting in a booth with Shancai and Xiao You. You had met them on accident, seeing them in the hallway while you cried out of annoyance for your stupid situation. So they had offered to go out so you could take your mind of it, even when they didn't know who the man of your interest was. That being said, you doubt they were prepared for you drinking yourself to death.
You were only on your second drink, yet you were already tipsy and not thinking straight. Shancai was trying to prevent you from ordering more while Xiao You tried to get your drink out of your hands. You reluctantly agreed to it, whining loudly before dropping your head to lay on the table with a groan.
But then you sat up, staring at the door. A group of 4 had entered and, low and behold, one of them was Huaze Lei. But of course, Shancai and Xiao You didn't know about your relation to him and waved at the four of them. Of course they came over, after all 2 of them were dating the girls that sat with you. You sat in between Huaze Lei and Xiao You, leaning on Xiao You for support. She was talking to her boyfriend, not really paying attention to you. Huaze Lei, however, was glancing at you ever so often to be sure if you were okay.
"I think she should go home." Mei-Zuo said, pointing at you and everyone glanced at you. Huaze Lei volunteered to bring you home, getting your address from Shancai before helping you up. You whined loudly, but held on to his arm for support nonetheless. He helped you to the bus stop, sitting you down on the bench before sitting next to you. You scooted away from him and he chuckled, grabbing your arm so that you didn't fall off the bench.
"Why do you look so sad?" He asked and you looked at him, staring at him before answering.
"He has someone else..." You mumbled and he frowned as you came closer to him again.
"And I really like him." You continued, your words slurring together as you spoke.
"He even gave me his sweater." You said as you took the bottom of the sweater and pulling it up to show him. His frown disappeared and he laughed softly, leaning his head a bit to lean against the glass behind him.
"Don't laugh at my misery." You whined loudly and he turned to you again.
"I apologize." He said before seeing your bus. He held out his arm before helping you up again and into the bus. You sat down at the back and leaned your head on Huaze Lei's shoulder.
The rest was a blur, but you woke up in your bed with the covers pulled up to your chin. You were still wearing the same clothes as the day before. You did remember the conversations you had with him yesterday. You got up, your face heating up out of embarrassment before you looked at the time. It was 8:30 am and your eyes widened. You had a class in 30 minutes! You jumped out of bed and quickly took a shower before changing into something else. Then you raced out of the door with your bag and keys in hand before finding a e-bike and then you raced towards school. You came in time with 2 minutes to spare, only to find a note on the door saying that class was canceled. You were not alone, a handful of students were standing next to you and staring at the paper in annoyance as well. Now you had to wait until 9:30 for your next class and it was no use to go back home. So, you decided to go to the roof to wallow in self-pity and hoped that Huaze Lei was not there.
Yeah, your prayers were not answered.
As you opened the door, you were greeted with his figure and no way to escape as he noticed you. So you awkwardly walked on the roof and greeted him.
"You remember yesterday, I assume." He said and you gave an awkward chuckle before nodding.
"Don't talk about it, please. I feel like dying." You said and he moved away from the edge of the roof, towards you. You stared at him in confusion as he stopped in front of you. He leaned over to your height and you leaned back just a bit.
"Turn around." He said and you frowned before slowly turning around. The tree drawing was still there but next to it.
"我爱你"
"I like you..?" You mumbled before you looked at Huaze Lei with wide eyes. He got closer to you again, leaning forward once more to get closer to you and then he smiled.
"I like you too." He said and you stared at him for a few seconds before glancing down. He just made you face him again before softly kissing you. It was short, he pulled away seconds later.
"Don't you have class?" He then asked and you shook your head.
"At 9:30. First class got canceled." You replied and he nodded.
"Good, let's get some coffee then." He said and you nodded. He grabbed your hand and guided you to a café. You both ordered a drink and he offered to pay for you as well, but you only reluctantly agreed to it since he kept persisting. And then you went back to the roof with your coffees in hand, receiving some awkward looks from other students. Holding hands with 1 of the 4 most famous men in the whole university would get people to stare at you, even if it made you incredibly uncomfortable. But it was over when you reached the roof, sitting down with your coffee before leaning against the wall (not against the drawing of course). Huaze Lei sat next to you before laying down on your legs, staring up at the sky.
"Getting comfortable?" You asked and he looked at you, giving you a bright smile. You just ruffled his hair before leaning back again, your hand still threading through his hair as you stared up to the sky again. He just hummed before closing his eyes, coffee long forgotten.
"Huaze Lei!" Someone yelled as the door slammed open, making you look at the door while Huaze Lei just opened one of his eyes before groaning before closing his eyes again, pushing his head into your hand softly.
His friends stood in the doorway, Ximen and Mei-Zou in the back with Dao-Ming Si in front. All of them were staring at you, more specifically at the man that laid on your lap. You nudged him softly and he glanced up at you before groaning as he sat up. He looked at his friends, staring at them with a blank expression.
"What?" He asked and you held in your laughter at how serious he sounded.
"Sorry for the interruption." Ximen commented as Mei-Zou walked closer.
"So, you two seem close." He teased as he leaned against the wall with a teasing smile. Huaze Lei looked at him in slight annoyance before pulling closer to himself.
"So?" He said as he hugged you from the side, placing his head on your shoulder. You didn't really react to it, just dinking from your drink as the 2 bickered. Dao-Ming had joined in on the bickering, yelling at Huaze Lei for not telling them that he started dating you.
That made you freeze for a second, realization hitting you. You were dating Huaze Lei... You felt your face heat up before covering your face with your hands.
"You alright, darling?" Huaze Lei asked in an almost teasing way and you silently groaned in your hands, trying to hide from view. You could hear him chuckle and looked up, pushing him away with a small scowl before getting up.
"My class is starting." You stated before walking to the exit. You entered the stairwell and started your descend, only to hear the door open and for Huaze Lei to join you again.
"Hello again." He teased, grabbing your hand in his as he walked with you to your class. The people inside stopped talking when you both walked in, instead whispers took over as they stared and pointed.
"Thanks for walking me..." You thanked him, giving him a smile. He smiled back, the smile reaching his eyes as he gently kissed your hand.
"I'll see you later." He said before he walked out of the class, leaving you flustered once more.
"You're stuck too now." You heard Shancai say, turning around to face her in confusion.
"You're going to love that man a lot later on. I wish you luck." She teased and you gave her a short shove before joining her at the tables.
Well, you didn't mind that thought.
