Getting out of work, Scott hopped on his bike towards Malia’s home. He had supposed to have met her an hour prior, but Deaton had called in late for the night. Racing through Beacon Hills’ empty streets, Scott found himself before the two-story house and parked right by the door... Vaguely remembering how much Peter hated it, yet Scott was more keen to deal with Peter’s anger than Malia’s. 

Walking into the Hale home, Scott followed Malia’s scent, a smile spreading across his lips when the werecoyote came into view. “I’m sorry, Deaton got side tracked,” he apologize, giving her lips a peck. “You ready?” he asked, knowing he also was eager for a run.

The crisp northern California air tingled pleasantly against Magnus’ skin as he walked down the streets. The air in Beacon Hills was alive with energy; the warlock could feel it infused in everything from the concrete sidewalk he was strolling down to the forest he had passed at the start of his exploration. 

It was no wonder downworlders and mystics alike were drawn to such a town. Magnus had come to spend time with his husband; he hadn’t been expecting such a fascinating puzzle presented to him. 

While the town had its own pull, now, he was following his nose. The delightful smell of fresh baked goods was coming from one of the shops on this street. A little dessert would be perfect for his plan. He pushed open the bakery door, the little bell overhead chiming to signal his arrival. His eyes went to the woman behind the counter -- a lovely pale blue aura surrounding her, it rippled soothingly like the tide. “Good afternoon.” He greeted, walking over to the displays. “I must say, you have the best enticement of any store of this block.”

After Allison finished off the early shift, she stopped off at the bakery to grab herself a sandwich for lunch, and whilst in there, she saw a box of donuts, and knew exactly where she was taking them. Rather than heading home, she stopped off at the hospital, carefully balancing a large cup of coffee on top of the box of donuts. Spotting one of the nurses, she headed over.

“Hey... Do you know where Nurse McCall is? I got her her favourite coffee.” She smiled. “Oh! And these are for the nurses station, feel free to grab one.”

With so many traps nearly bursting from the forest, it had only been a matter of time before a human stumbled into one of them. 

People around Erica knew how to handle pain. It had been her constant companion as a child. The wolves she knew -- there was always something worse. They healed. Even humans like Stiles, whose stubbornness kept him quiet on his pain. 

But a normal human? 

The teen had cried, screamed. Whimpered the entire way as Erica got them out of the bear trap and to the hospital. No amount of pain absorption was going to help as she had kept jostling them as she ran. 

They would be okay now. 

But her? The werewolf took a step back as the ER staff swarmed around their new patient. The stench of human blood clung to her clothes. Her arm quivered as blackened veins only just started to fade. She had to leave before security came before they decided to question her. 

She turned, managing to exit the ER only to run directly into a scrub clad human. “Shit.” Erica cursed under her breath.  “--Sorry.” she muttered, trying to walk around them.

Slowly retracing her steps, she came past a woman who was sitting outside the coffee table - a were of some kind, though right now, she had more pressing matters to worry about.

Scott walked into the veterinary sector, gaze wide open like a child’s. He was in awe, his mouth dropping open as if he was visiting a scene straight from a dream. It was nothing like Deaton’s clinic, but alike enough for the Alpha to feel right at home. “Hey, excuse me... I’m Scott McCall,” he introduced himself, offering a hand. “I’m a little lost right now... I was called because of an aggressive dog stuck in a tank?” That was new, and Scott didn’t even want to think how it happened... At the very least, they had called the clinic and not animal control.
