Peter loved Tony Stark, he always had. It's why he dedicated himself to his studies all so he could take a job at SI to get closer to the man. What he hadn't expected was for Tony to actually talk to him one day in the staff break room. Apparently the coffee machine in his lab had broken down so he came here to make himself some. It seemed like destiny to Peter. An opportunity to actually talk to the man and to try and get himself noticed as more than just another worker. And it must have worked as Tony kept coming down to the break room for coffee when after his lab's coffee machine had been fixed, and he never failed to strike up a conversation with Peter whilst there. Peter was overjoyed at this. The frequent conversations allowed him to get closer to his boss until they could almost call themselves friends. But most importantly Tony now trusted him enough that if Peter made a cup of coffee ready for him he'd happily take and drink it. So all it took was one day with not many people about to lace Tony's drink with something to make him sleepy and to 'help' the man up to his penthouse. After that it was simple to use Tony's private elevator to go down to the man's garage and drive away. And now Peter had Tony all to himself without anyone getting in the way.

One of my favorite things about Starker as a ship is how many angles there are to approach the ship from! We've got:

Light: minimal to no age-gap angst or drama, no one has a major issue with the relationship, healthy relationship, usually of-age Peter

Gray: moderate to heavy age-gap angst or drama, other characters concerned about the relationship (or it's expected that they would be,) may or may not be presented as ultimately healthy but it's at least a consideration to the characters because they'd like to be healthy

Dark: we all know what darkfic is lmao. Your grooming fics, your villain AUs, most Starkercest though some of those can ride the gray~dark line, outright unhealthy dynamics or your unrepentant characters/settings where the question of "healthy" doesn't even enter into the equation, etc. etc. etc.

They are all beautiful flavors and I've written for all of them, but I'm curious about y'all! Obviously the lines here can be a bit blurry/subjective, but in general if you had to choose:

Ok what about Peter dancing.

No sound, just his movements. Headphones in his ears.

He wears the same outfit like TH in The Crowded Room, when he drunkenly dances on the bedroom floor. Light sweater and briefs. Nothing else.

He's not on the floor this time.

His long hair swings and obscures his face. When he throws his head to the side a drop of sweat flies like a glittering diamond.

The camera moves back a bit, and Tony's face comes into view. His eyes look up to the boy above him, mesmerized, he can't look away, fixed on Peter's form.

The camera zooms back, and we see that Peter is dancing on Tony's lap, his movement ecstatic. He grabs Tony's shoulder with one hand, fingers diving into the muscle to keep him upright when he dances, his slender body twisting and turning.

Tony doesn't move, just lays in his chair, looking up to him, resting deep against the backrest, hands unmoving and lifeless on the armrests, one foot on the floor.

The camera zooms back, still focusing on Peter lapdancing like mad, until a device comes into view.

Vampire Slayer AU

Peter Parker was Queen's resident vampire slayer.

Most of the time, it was pretty okay. He went to his cheerleading practice, he staked a few vamps around the graveyard, and he hung out with his besties in between. Steve and Bucky were inseparable, of course, and Wanda and her boyfriend Vis were doing their whole wican-witch thing which was pretty cool, and Strange - the vampire who was obsessed with him in like a byronic hero kind of way, weirdly - followed him around like a puppy any time he was outside of his apartment or school.

Stark was his Watcher (which sent a thrill through Peter like nothing else the first time the man had said it, making him think about all the things he could watch him do) and the gang's resident tech-and-occult expert. The man was like sex incarnate and Peter could not resist from flirting with him.

How the man hid behind the library counter when Peter came in, dripping from his post-workout shower.

Starker!Portal AU where FRIDAY uploads Tony's conscious into the building/an AI he was creating/a robot because he was dying and she was trying to save him by any means necessary.

But! Fortunately! One test subject survived: Peter Parker.

He's the best. He figured out the portals so quickly and he does the test's so fast, Tony can hardly keep up production and he actually talks to him and he's so funny and cute and-

Well. Outside is just wasteland, anyways. So it's for the best for both of them if Peter stays right where he is; in Tony's Test Center, where Tony can see and control everything. Forever. No need to leave (at all, ever).
