I read so many fanfictions about the darkling (and alina) after the first season. One that stand was If you'll let me ftom darklesmylove. And in it he says My Alina. A lot. I never expected to hear it from the darkling in the show. It is an unexpected gift.

Ooooooh this is a fun one (nobody ever asks me about the Grishaverse even though I love it ^^), thank youuu💞 Now keep in mind I read the grisha trilogy a looong time ago and I’m not really a big fan of this particular trilogy, so I’m a bit fuzzy on the details

Do you love/hate this character?

I mostly love him!!!! I have a very few problems with how he acts sometimes but mostly I really love him

What’s your favorite trait of this character?

Okay it’s a very classic for Nikolai, but I love how much he cares for his country, it’s genuine. He doesn’t want to be king for the thrill of power, he wants what’s best for his people. I mean, he was ready to get married to Alina for the good of his country, now he’s gotten engaged for the good of his country. He gives all of himself for Ravka and I think it’s beautiful.

What’s your favorite moment/event involving this character?

The whole flashback things in King of Scars where we learn about his choldhood friend/love? Sorry I can’t remember his name right now but yeah this was an amazingly touching passage.

If you could have one power/attribute/etc. of this character, what would it be?

Oh wow this one is hard. I think the scene where he reveals who he is because OMG he’s so extra I love it hahahaha But I mean it was a process of liking him more and more ^^

This is a @darklesmylove appreciation post.

I feel like recently, there’s been a lot of hate towards the Darkling and Darkling stans. So that’s why I’m writing this. @darklesmylove is our queen of Darkling lovers and Aleks appreciation blogs. I love you so much, my friend, and you are such an amazing writer and person.

I just started reading her “If You’ll Let Me,” an Alarkling smutty college AU fic, and I highly recommend it, if you haven’t read it yet (it took me half a year to get to it and I regret that because AHHHH). Chances are if you follow me for the Aleks love, you follow her, but just in case, do go check out her blog.

And I remember when I read “Heart of Darkness” and how good that was too omg that was the ending I wanted for the trilogy, but what can we do?

@darklesmylove is just so intelligent, kind, and strong despite the hate. I appreciate and admire that. I’m trying to get back into posting original content regularly, and her fics are inspiring me to do that.

And to all those folks out there who ridicule others and insult others and send death threats all over someone’s take of a frigging BOOK CHARACTER, check yourself. That’s called cyberbullying. There’s nothing wrong with expressing your opinion, but please don’t do that at the expense of others.

well this christmas one of my best friends sent me a pair of socks that were covered with flowers and said ‘i’m a delicate fucking flower’ in big yellow print on the side and a note that said ‘these reminded me of you :)’ and i love them so much 🥺 they make me think of her all the time AND they’ve got flowers on them (which i love)
