Yes, I know I just posted my 2020 Reading Challenge Books bu hear my out. I tend to read the same genres over and over again (mainly fantasy sprinkled with a bit of fiction sometimes) so I am now trying to get out of my comfort zone by joining the 52 books a year challenge set by Goodreads (add me btw lets be friends). Chris Sebastian is crowned the WINNER of The Voice in the live finale 

Chris Sebastian was crowned the winner of The Voice during Sunday night’s live finale episode, taking home the $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract.

Guy’s younger brother impressed viewers, as he took to the stage for the last time alongside Siala Robson, Johnny Manuel and Stellar Perry.  

‘You deserve all the praise, this is your moment,’ his coach Kelly Rowland said. 

Winner: Guy Sebastian’s brother Chris Sebastian (pictured) was crowned the WINNER of The Voice in the live finale on Sunday 

The night kicked off with fan favourite Siala performing a duet with pop sister duo The Veronicas.

Siala commanded attention as she sung the lyrics to their 2007 hit Untouched. 

After the performance, The Veronicas described the experience singing alongside Siala as ‘incredible’.

Proud coach: ‘You deserve all the praise, this is your moment,’ his coach Kelly Rowland (pictured on screen from Los Angeles) said 

‘It’s been absolutely incredible working with Siala. Siala is an incredible artist. Siala, you know, in this show, who’s writing their own music… [it’s been so] much fun working with you this week,’ they said. 

Next, Guy Sebastian’s brother Chris performed Linkin Park’s 2003 hit Numb. 

Guy shed tears while revealing just how proud he is of his younger sibling.

Pure joy: Chris’ older brother Guy (pictured), 38, who is a coach on the show, couldn’t wipe the smile off his face 

‘Every time you’ve performed on the show, it’s, like, insanely good. And I mean that not just as a brother, but as a coach, as a fan. And mate, I’m proud of you,’ he said.

Stellar joined coach Delta Goodrem for a duet on stage, covering Kate Bush’s 1985 hit Running Up That Hill. 

‘Not in a million [years] did I think I would be standing up here with Delta Goodrem, not at at all,’ Stellar told host Darren McMullen afterwards. 

Tough competition: Hosts Darren McMullen and Renee Bargh announced Chris as the winner, taking the top spot away from Siala Robson (second left), Stellar Perry (second right) and Johnny Manuel (far right) 

Johnny gave his all, covering Sam Sparro’s 2008 track Black and Gold in a duet with his coach Guy Sebastian. 

‘It was a really special process for me because what I wanted to do is just learn from him, and he went a bit further,’ Johnny said of Guy. 

Siala returned on stage for solo performance of Ariana Grande’s 2018 pop song God Is a Woman. 

In his element: After the winner announcement, Chris was invited back to the stage to perform. Earlier in the episode, he sung Linkin Park’s hit Numb and Daryl Braithwaite’s The Horses 

Johnny proved his career will prosper, belting out the lyrics to Celine Dion’s powerful track and the Titanic theme song, My Heart Will Go On. 

Fellow coach Kelly Rowland described his voice as ‘incredible’ and joked that she’s sure his phone will be ‘ringing off the hook’. 

Chris Sebastian returned to the stage, performing Daryl Braithwaite’s song The Horses, with the man himself.

When asked her thoughts, Kelly told host Darren that he ‘killed’ and ‘absolutely nailed it’. 

Last to return to the stage was Stellar, covering Demi Lovato’s 2020 pop hit, I Love Me.

Kelly said it was a ‘winning song alone’ and Delta urged Australia to vote for her. 

What an honour: Meanwhile, Siala (pictured) was told by coach Boy George that she will have a bright career regardless, inviting her to join him for his Australian festival next year

The Republic of Ireland have not lost in their last four away games with Denmark, keeping a clean sheet each time (W1 D3).

The last time they lost in Denmark – or conceded a goal – was in November 1984 when they lost 3-0 in World Cup qualifying.

The Republic have lost just one of their last eight matches against Denmark (W2 D5), keeping six clean sheets in the process. However the game they lost was a 5-1 play-off defeat in Dublin which cost them a 2018 World Cup place.

The Republic of Ireland have won their two matches without conceding since Mick McCarthy’s return as manager – both 1-0 against Georgia and Gibraltar in qualifying.

It took nine games for McCarthy to register two wins in his first stint (D3 L4).

The Republic have won as many competitive games in their last two games (two) as they did in the previous 12 (D6 L4).

A lack of goals?

Only one of the current Republic of Ireland squad have hit double figures in international goals – James McClean with 10.

Robbie Brady is the next top scorer with seven – and after him it’s Shane Duffy, Glenn Whelan and Jeff Hendrick on two each.

None of the four players listed as forwards have scored an international goal.

Shane Long, who has scored 17 times for the Irish, is injured.

47) Do you honestly want your favourite book/series adapted?

I think about this a lot and there a few that I do want but so many more now that I don’t want.

Like I don’t want there to ever be a movie or tv show about Skulduggery Pleasant. I love the first series and remember it so fondly that I don’t want big companies fucking it all up. Plus I feel that they’d cast the usual British actors, you know what I mean? That’s just my wee opinion though.

45) What character needs help from the Fab 5 from Queer Eye?

Random choice, but I feel like he’d enjoy himself. Tony Winter from Craig Robertson’s Winter & Narey series. I think he’d be jokingly offended that he needs help but would had a blast.

43) Any opinions on book covers that have photographed faces on them?

Love them! A lot of my faves are photographs and not illustrations. 

41) Which race and class in D&D would your favourite character choose?

I’ve picked Evelyn Hugo from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I think she’d be a glamorous tiefling with long pointed horns, purple skin and gold eyes. As for class I think she’d be a warlock or a sorcerer.

35) Who got the worst character development?

Hmm…it’s not so much bad character development but…more an unlikable character who did terrible things, then at the end does good but…the bad things he did were pretty bad. The book itself was an entertaining read but the character is a Puritan who murdered a lot of innocent woman after accusing them of being witches. The whole point I believe was to give him redemption but I didn’t really go for it. The book is called Twins of Evil by Shaun Hutson.

So the book I’m reading currently doesn’t have that many pages. Instead I picked up a book on my TBR, Tallstar’s Revenge by Erin Hunter, and sadly the word is blandly - ‘the’

I think forbidden love is my thing the now. Or love that just can’t be. I like that angst man. The two that come to mind is Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and The Visitors by Simon Sylvester.

what is your aesthetic? I have no idea, so I googled ‘what is your aesthetic’ and BuzzFeed tells me that it’s progressive urban... :/

do you collect anything? when I was younger, I used to keep the foil covers from chocolate coins at Christmas time- I had years worth kept in a bag. These days...does nail polish and DVDs count?

what’s a topic you always talk about? Darren Criss (usually prompted by my students when they see my computer desk top). Also, musicals and television shows (again, my students know if they want to distract me from work, all they have to do is ask me about the latest episode of ‘xyz’...)

what’s a pet peeve of yours? my neighbours putting the wrong kind of trash in my rubbish and recycling bin. Like, if you want to use them, fine, it’s not like I fill them up on my own. But don’t put trash in the recycling, and don’t put green waste in the rubbish. Know your bins people!

good advice to give? Always use a good top when painting your nails. It will make all the difference

what are three songs you’d recommend? This is like the hardest question ever...I’m going to recommend some solid Aussie talent, because there is no other way I can narrow this down (and even this is hard: Say It Like That- Flume (feat. Tove Lo) 1955- Hilltop Hoods (feat Montaigne and Tom Thum) You’re The Voice- John Farnham (like this is the ultimate everybody drunk, standing in a circle and singing at the top of their lungs...this along with Daryl Braithwaite’s ‘The Horses” would be the last song played at the majority of weddings in this country...)
