How did your first date go?

Azul Ashengrotto - Monopoly

You were dreading the date after the agreed upon activity would be to indulge in Monopoly.

You weren't particularly bad at the game, but when playing against someone like Azul was a variable? What was the point of trying?!

The octopus was very adamant that you should agree to his suggestion. He planned to make it a memorable experience for you!

After returning to Ramshackle to change out of your uniform, you quickly rushed back to the NRC building. You were told to meet him in the room the Board Game Club uses.

You grit your teeth in preparation of a punishing failure, instead, Azul had other things planned for your game of Monopoly.

He is sitting alone at a table which there was no Monopoly board present. Instead…

There were arts and craft supplies.

“Is something wrong? Was my text somehow misleading?”

Azul appeared smug and pushed up on the bridge of his wireframe glasses. The lenses caught the light coming through the window.

This is how you would be playing Monopoly, by making your own game board!

Azul was very open about why and where certain things should go on the board. But, he did tell you to do as you liked. It’s a collaborative piece.

You colored, glued, sketched and created the game board with Azul. He looked pleased with the final product as the sun began to set and you looked over the creation.

He liked the parts you made the most.

Especially the way you designed the 500 dollar bill. You’re so expensive…

Jade Leech - Making a Terrarium

You know that Jade can't dress. So seeing him in such a retro looking outfit was no surprise.

He was waiting in the library. Along the table were shells, stones, plants in small plastic trays, and two large glass jars that were empty.

You would be building a terrarium today! Of course, with Jade's helpful guidance.

You worked step by step as he gently explained everything there was to know. Like why you should always put the stones on the bottom before adding soil. And why he picked the plants he did for today's date. And so on.

"Next time, I'd like to do something that you would like."

Jade's smile was gentle as he continued to instruct you on building your terrarium with plants to care for.

As you finished up, you silently compared your terrarium to Jade's.

His was better, from an aesthetic point of view and from a functional one. But, this was also one of his hobbies. Of course his would be different compared to yours.

Jade reached his hand out towards yours, showing off teal, gold, and milk colored stones that had been molded and shaped into small mushrooms.

He asked if you would include these in your terrarium. Of course, you weren't obligated to.

You smiled and accepted the stones, decorating the inside of your terrarium with the stones that only served to remind you of Jade, and this now unforgettable first date.

Floyd Leech - Swimming

Floyd invited you on a date! Doing what, pray tell?

Swimming.

He wanted to show you how fun it could be with someone as big as him floating around with you!

You were supposed to met him in the Octavinelle dorm with your swimsuit under your clothes. But you didn't see Floyd anywhere.

He texted you, giving directions to meet where the top of the dorm's fish tank was. And you made it. And there Floyd was.

Naked, with nothing but a towel around his shoulders.

"Hi Shrimpy! You made it!"

He waves, but you already had your eyes covered. He tells you how he wanted to scare you by being in the water first, but you're faster than he thought!

With your eyes still covered, you hear a loud splash of the water and then Floyd asking you to get in with him.

When you look, you see how his skin had gone teal, right. That's why he was naked. He's a merman. You should tell him to wear something next time...

You remove your layers and walk over to the top of the tank where Floyd was waiting. The water was so clear and pretty, you could see all of the fish and coral!

You slipped in, the water was a little cold, but with Floyd holding you against his wet body it wasn't so bad.

It had been hours you spent together in the water with Floyd, growing exhausted as he curled his long body around yours, and soon lifted you out of the tank.

Floyd quietly told you that your skin looks like a raisin.

I have a virtual date with a friend of mine in Minecraft because we're dorks. Anyways I have a fancy suit avatar and my normal avatar I made. My friend Argo thinks the suit is nice, but my friend AdamentError thinks I should wear the leaky tank top because my friend should work to show they deserve to see me in my fluid proof suit. ((He was very concerned that fluids and rot would get on the suit and I told him it doesn't. Luckily he didn't ask how he didn't get anything on his suit because... I have no true answer lol. How did your first date go?

Jamil Viper - 1 v. 1 Basketball Game

The last thing Jamil wants is to be questioned by Kalim and risk him joining in, so, he told you it would be a secret until the day of the date he asked you for

He texted you during classes, asking if you were free after school on Friday, you naturally said yes

When he told you to wear something you can sweat in you felt nervous, but agreed anyway

Jamil instructed that you two meet at 6pm in the school gymnasium and you felt even more giddy than before. What could he have planned?!

You wore your cutest running shoes, black bike shorts, and a baggy shirt with your Ramshackle logo printed on the front. Courtesy of Headmage Crowley of course.

“There you are.”

Jamil was sitting near the bleachers with a basketball, bouncing it idly as he smiled at you. His hair was braided up into a bun as he stood with the ball now tucked under his arm.

You would play him in a one v one game. If you won? He would be your servant for a day. If you lost? You would play that role instead.

You were anxious playing against him, he was on the team for a reason and you attended in the bleachers for a reason. But Jamil quickly assured he would make it easy on you so it would be fair. He even lowered the rim so you had a better chance of shooting shots!

The two of you started in the middle of the court, and as you struggled to dribble the ball, Jamil patiently followed after you. He would graciously allow you to take the first bucket, if you could. As you lifted the ball and crouched, you shot the ball-

And missed.

If the embarrassment didn’t kill you first it would be the silence from Jamil behind you.

You spent the rest of the game running from Jamil with the ball, making it impossible for him to take it from you unless he tackled you for it.

In an actual game; you’d be fouled out and benched. But thankfully Jamil was willing to play by your rules.

Kalim Al Asim - Picnic on a Magic Carpet

You had only been dating Kalim for a week before he begged to take you on a date. Something for just the two of you.

You didn’t mind how foreword he was, it actually made you enthused to agree. Kalim was very open about what he wanted, so when he asked you out? You had already known for months that he was crushing on you.

He requested that you come to Scarabia that night, and make sure you skipped dinner! Or his surprise would be ruined! Please and thank you of course. Oh! And bring a jacket!

You arrived in something casual with your jacket draped over your shoulder. The weather in Scarabia was sweltering, so it was unusual that Kalim asked that you wear an extra layer. Or at least bring an extra layer.

As you waited in the main room, you were confused by his lack of presence. Jamil was absent as well. But once you called out his name, you heard him call back.

“Over here! Look over the ledge!”

His voice was kind as you rushed over with widened eyes. He was tailor sitting on his flying carpet with a large spread of snacks and finger foods. His bright red eyes shimmered under the moon as he held out his hands to you.

Kalim helped you onto the carpet and motioned for you to sit across from him, and the carpet slowly ascended into the sky.

The gentle breeze helped you feel calm despite being hundreds of feet in the air, and talking with the bubbly housewarden made you forget you were even flying until it was time for you to go back to your own dorm!

You sheepishly asked him for one more ride.
