Maul's horn flowers briefly entrances Gar Saxon.
Savage informs Maul the flowers last 24 hours.
I'm imagining that Zabrak horns only bloom after a certain age. It's rare the species grow old naturally, so the blooms are a seldom occurrence for Dathomirians to witness. Hence, Savage's excitement.
Savage: "You must be much older than I thought, Brother..."
Maybe Maul should hide in his room until then.

It feels like we haven't seen Hemlock in a while so the question for the season is now...

I mean, I knew she was gonna show, she was in the trailer but how?.. Not that I'm complaining. Ngl I cried when (spoiler alert) she died in Dark Disciple. She didn't deserve that agonizing of a death

Was she just being witty when she said that or did she literally mean "I have a few more lives"?
Crazy theory time (cuz it's 5am)
What if Dathomirians have multiple lives?
Hear me out.
With Ven I'm gonna rule out Night Sister magic because at the end of Dark Disciple, Vos, a jedi who can't use night sister magic, put Ven's body in the pool. The book said there was a reaction after he did that but it also said Vos felt the force reclaim her, meaning Ventress officially died. So Ven is now down a life but is still alive.
Another possible example: Merrin from Jedi: fallen order. (I haven't played Jedi: survivor yet so this part might get debunked) Merrin survived the night sister massacre when she around 12 years old. But how? What if all of the night sisters were killed that day but they didn't all stay dead cuz some of them still had extra lives.
I know I'm crazy but I'm not done yet!
Third possible example: Maul. Now, I know, Maul is a Zabrak but his still a Dathomirian. And I know in tcw Maul said he was only alive cuz of his hatred of Obi-Wan which would be a dark side ability. But that dark side ability tends not to keep the user in very good condition, like we see with Darth Sion in the Old Republic or Palpatine in episode 9, but in tcw Maul is doing better then he was in episode 1. With this one you could argue night sister magic, but if getting chopped in half didn't kill him like 🫰that, a couple hundred feet fall into a garbage shoot would've... or did but being a Dathomirian he had another life. So he was chopped in half, died (taking one of his lives), and came back. And after he came back, his hate kept him alive long enough for the sisters to heal him so he wasn't relying on the Dark side to keep him alive, which is why he's not literally falling apart in tcw.
If this theory is right, why isn't it a well-known fact in the galaxy? Cuz Dathomirians are dramatic. And they like the "What the kriff!" reactions from their friends when they die, regenerate, then just casually walk up like nothing happened.

One thing that will forever bug the hell out of me about Star Wars is that they will create these interesting, cool looking species, and then have them all die so you only see a handful, if any.
Some examples include...
The Mandalorians, wiped out by the Empire,
The Dathomirians, wiped out by the Seperatists,
And the Kaleesh, otherwise known as General Grievous's people, wiped out by the Jedi.
Like these are three awesome looking races that don't get nearly enough screentime, outside of The Mandalorian show.

Zabrak Horn Anatomy Headcanons (Sexy Edition)
(There is no edition of this post that isn't related to writing smut)
I've been playing zabraks in ERPs for ages and have developed a comprehensive-ish headcanon for how zabrak horns work anatomically and why it feels good when they get touched. This isn't meant to be super scientific, it is just meant to help you justify something sexy in a science fantasy narrative.
Zabraks are born hornless (this is a Legends canon thing) with horns growing in some time after birth. At birth, some of the pedicle and tiny amount of horn growing tissue are present under the skin. When the horns do grow in the first time, there is a sort of "teething" period.
The dead horn is made out of keratin, like fingernails. The dead horn has no sensation and can be cut, filed, shaped, etc. Different zabrak groups either grow them in different shapes or manually shape them. However, if the horn growing tissue is cut, it is extremely painful and will result in a lot of bleeding. Damaged horn-growing tissue may result in irregular horn growth and if the horn growing tissue is removed, the horn will not grow back.
The horn growing tissue is, by quirk of evolution, incredibly sensitive to touch. If pressure is applied around the pedicle or where the dead horn is thin, it squeezes the horn growing tissue in a way that usually feels very, very, good. In some cases, people can achieve orgasm solely by having their horns touched. This sensation can't be achieved by most people squeezing their own horns, similar to how most people can't tickle themselves.
Consequently, it is generally taboo to touch a zabrak's horns without permission. Most people know this, but non-zabraks may not know why.
