wow, what’s that? @sicktember is a month long writing challenge event that I decided to take part in this year! we were given a month’s worth of prompts to write sickfic to, and I ended up with over 20! thats so many! (theyre also all ace attorney dhgsdkhg)

below the cut are my works, all linked ! general spoiler warning for sequel trilogy and dgs

day 1 -  “do you know how to take care of a sick person?" // ema skye & nahyuta sahdmadhi it's just a bad day, not a bad life (2177 words) While staying at a hotel in the States, Nahyuta takes a sick day.

day 2 - homesick // ema skye & apollo justice run to show that love's worth running to (1586 words) Ema gets hit with culture shock in Khura’in.

day 3 - painkillers AND day 24 - [alt 3] cuddling on the couch // ema skye/apollo justice/klavier gavin in my heart and in my veins (2146 words) Ema wakes up with cramps. Luckily, her boyfriends are there to take care of her.

day 4 - hangover // ema skye/apollo justice/klavier gavin (+ mikeko) how unreasonably in love I am (with everything you do) (2112 words) Apollo makes breakfast for his partners.

day 5 -  "great. now I have your germs all over me." AND day 30 - "get back in bed!" // ema skye/apollo justice/klavier gavin you stole two kisses (from our lips) (1574 words) Ema's meant to be in bed, despite her reluctance.

day 6 -  sick on vacation, AND day 7 - a cry for attention, AND day 10 - excessive use of tissues // apollo justice/klavier gavin (though you’re distant now) I can always see you running (902 words) Klavier is sick while visiting Apollo in Khura’in

day 8 - [alt 4] taking a sick day // apollo justice & phoenix wright & trucy wright (+ mikeko) carry me home in good health (3496 words) Apollo Justice doesn’t take days off. His body has other plans

day 9 - home remedy // dhurke sahdmadhi & datz are’bal & nahyuta sahdmadhi & apollo justice awake, awake, you children bold (3004 words) Apollo and Nahuyta are sick, and Dhurke worries. Datz has something that might help.

day 11 - emergency room // apollo justice & trucy wright I’m fine, we’re fine (a sentiment no longer echoed) (785 words) In the aftermath of Courtroom no.4, Trucy visits Apollo in hospital

day 12 - stress induced sickness // apollo justice & clay terran (+ mikeko) my fatigue makes a debut (but I get through) (2134 words) Apollo struggles with unemployment. Clay decides to help in his own, strange way.

day 13 - seasonal allergies // ema skye/kay faraday smooth caramel (it’s sweet but I can’t breathe) (1366 words) Ema and Kay investigate a crime scene together (or at least attempt to)

day 14 - “i might be a teeny tiny bit sick, but it’s fine” AND day 22 - common cold // apollo justice & clay terran rest my head at night content (knowing where my marbles went) (3514 words) Clay leaves Apollo’s text on read. Apollo gets worried.

day 15 - sunburn // ema skye & nahyuta sadhmadhi and the sunlight tries to stain (2014 words) Nahyuta helps Ema treat her sunburn

day 16 - care package // apollo justice & ema skye (+ others) take a part of us so that you’ll never be alone (1890 words) Apollo, in Khura’in, receives a parcel from the WAA

day 17 - fainting // nahyuta sahdmadhi & rayfa padma khura’in who’ll save you when you fall? (1930 words) Nahyuta hasn’t been taking care of himself properly. His siblings aim to help (or in the very least, scold him for it)

day 18 - nausea AND day 25 - acid reflux // apollo justice/klavier gavin salzbrot (861 words) Klavier has a bad time, but at least Apollo is by his side

day 19 - whining // thalassa gramarye & jove justice & apollo justice know we’ll sing your name (1000 words) Jove and Thalassa work to comfort their son

day 20 - cold sweat // apollo justice & nahyuta sahdmadhi & rayfa padma khura’in (+ amara sigatar khura’in) unyielding, unwavering, understanding (4473 words) Nahyuta frets over Rayfa, who is not having it. Apollo tries to mediate

day 21 -  "does this look infected to you?" // ema skye/apollo justice/klavier gavin I won’t lose my grip (don’t let go) (914 words) Ema’s boys take care of her injury after it gets infected

day 23 - [alt 1] soft pyjamas // ema skye/kay faraday (only you and I) in between the spaces (874 words) Kay takes care of Ema after a tough day at work

day 26 ----- (lol the ONE day i didn’t manage any prompts)

day 27 - sleepless night // kazuma asougi & 221B baker street family long night (4296 words) The day after van Zieks is acquitted, Gina brings Kazuma out of the rain and into the warmth of 221B Baker Street.

day 28 - chronic illness // the masked apprentice & barok van zieks on the broken backs (of all the words we spared) (2586 words) Barok’s apprentice is struggling with his old injury

day 29 - exhaustion // Trucy Wright & Apollo Justice burn bright, burnout (2546 words) Trucy's been running on fumes for her last few performances, and it was only a matter of time before she started to fall. Apollo is there to catch her.

I dunno how orphanages work for kids that are just relinquished without papers or any information from the parent, especially since Apollo would’ve been like, 8, and not just a baby who turned up and couldn’t speak for himself or anything.

But it’s currently my headcanon that anything he absolutely needed upon reentry to the US was forged by Dhurke and Datz when they sent him back. But oh my god Apollo just being lowkey sketchy because he has no papers. The one benefit with the Khura’in disaster is that now Apollo’s adoptive brother is the regent and can set Apollo up with some official citizenship and actual papers. Though they’re still using the date Datz picked at random as a birthday. (See this could be fixed if two certain people would say something to two certain kids buuuut....)

Though that would mean that then Apollo would only have Khura’inese citizenship and if he wants to move home to the US again he’s either got to jump through a thousand bureaucratic hoops to get residency in the country he spent most of his life in, OR he’s gotta illegally sneak back in and be shady again.

Nahyuta is supportive of the former, he’s ready to pull some diplomatic strings to make it easier, talking to Edgeworth about how he can help, and then Datz is like “HEIST MOVIE TIME okay AJ here’s the plan for getting you back in, first we know you’re good for getting a job because PW is a shady dude and won’t give a shit that you’ve got no papers, now give me the phone number of your rock star boyfriend so we can start coordinating” and Apollo is like “oh my god Datz STOP”
