promised Bluebell characterization:33 (yay!!! hooray!!!)

some exposition and general info i guess:

• during the period of Rowan not being alive 😬 she was taken in by Asra. thankfully they already knew each other pretty well by that point and Bluebell got along nicely with him and Faust

• she would sometimes disappear for just days at a time which never used to happen when Rowan was present. she got a little wilder during his absence

• her bad habit of stealing returned and she would hoard her little trinkets (and plenty of money) in some obscure corners of the shop until Asra inevitably found them and scolded her (just lightly though)

• once Rowan got resurrected, they had to rebuild their bond a bit. but since Bluebell was very eager and just extatic to have her dearest friend back, it wasn't a very long process

• she became extremely protective of Rowan, fussing over him almost obsessively whenever he was feeling unwell or was in any kind of danger, no matter how small it was

(there's that thing that makes the apprentice have headaches every time they get reminded of something from before their resurrection but i imagine that maybe the familiar bond would just have a way to bypass it)

then the start of the game comes:3 (Bluebell-Julian dynamics):

• she never got to meet Julian when Rowan was working as his apprentice during the plague so the start of the game was her first encounter with him

• ever since Julian first broke into the shop, Bluebell despised him with her whole being. while Rowan was busy chucking a jar at his head, Bluebell went straight for his uncovered eye to peck it out (Julian managed to shield himself and get a few words in before she would've managed that...)

• when Rowan and Julian started to get to know each other, she'd still be sceptical and observe him frantically from Rowan's shoulder, watching his every shady move

• Julian really tried to make an effort to get her to like him or at least tolerate him but it would take a whole lot of more work than he would've thought. he tried to bribe her with snacks. she wouldn't budge

• another thing she hated about Julian were his horrid leather gloves. she hated their texture. every time he'd attempt to pet her with them on, she'd try to bite his fingers

• she always got really anxious around Malak though. she wanted to protect Rowan but she wouldn't want to get into a fight she couldn't win. in her eyes, Julian seemed easy to disarm at least. but Malak's claws were bigger than hers = scary

(i already have a turning point for them in mind, i will write a fic about it once i figure out some more things!!!!!)

and some Bluebell-Rowan stuff..:

• both of their favorite food are raspberries

• Bluebell tends to sleep tangled up in Rowan's hair or cuddled up next to his neck (preens him affectionately while she's at it:3)

• Rowan uses a lot of pet names to address Bluebell. girl, sweetie, sweetheart, baby, honey, dear, darling, love, the list goes on. tends to affectionately mix up her name or add the -ushka, -ushenka suffix (slavic power) (despite all that, he shies away from using the pet names on Julian. it makes him just a little jealous)

• i'm still workshopping an idea on how they could've originally met. if i manage to figure it out, i'll probably write a fic about it... but it requires a lot of backstory crafting (hard!!! scary!!!)
