Just a quick explanation what Cyberpunk Edge Runner is to get you into it

The world of Cyberpunk Edge Runner, is an anime series set in a dystopian future in which technology has advanced to the point where human existence is no longer needed. The dark side of technology and its effects are explored in this anime.

It's set in a dystopian future where big corporation rules one and another, and practically is the government. The lower class citizens struggle for everyday survival, one of which is the protagonist David who slowly becomes a bounty hunter. His life was normal as a lower class citizen, until one day his mother passes away from being in a middle of a gang shoot out. That's when his story begins as he meets Lucy and is determined to make a big name for himself out of the corrupt city.

We don't just follow David's journey, but also the journey of a team of bounty hunters who feel like family. Each member has their own unique backstory that makes us emotionally invested in their lives. As we watch them struggle through dangerous missions, it's impossible not to feel like we are part of the team. The animation and visuals are unique like no others and leaves the viewer speechless. The world is detailed with a bright vibrant lighting. The anime's soundtrack perfectly complements its unique cyberpunk theme and visual aesthetic. The theme song, "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" by Hallie Coggins and Rosa Walton, captures the emotional weight of the story between David and Lucy. Cyberpunk Edge Runner may not have the same level of popularity and recognition as some of the other big name anime, such as "Attack on Titan" or "Demon Slayer" but it has managed to triumph over them in its own right. Fans of the series were moved by the quality of the story, music, and visuals that it won Anime of the Year.
