DESCRIBE THE CHARACTER:

Ace doesn’t see himself as a good guy or a hero of the story, but he doesn’t see himself as a villain either. Instead, he sees himself more like an anti-hero if anything; the guy willing to do what needs to be done, even if it falls out of whatever moral boundaries people have placed on him or themselves. He’s not some ultra cunning, ultra intellectual or the low key genius street tough who gets a leg up by a stuffy white person. He’s the guy that the low key genius leaves behind in the hood and probably gets killed off screen, used for nothing more than a reason for the genius to not get caught up and become a causality of the streets. He’s not a sociopath, psychopath, sadist or anything like that. He thinks himself far from a monster, but is fine with letting others think that’s what he is because who fucks with monsters? No one, that’s who. He knows his lot in life, knows that he’s not particularly exceptional, that he was a little fish in a small pond, but Ace never felt like he needed to swim in an ocean – he likes his pond, hell he never even felt the need to be the big fish. Even though he’s not smart, he’s not stupid either and if you asked him, he would tell you that he has a gift, though it wasn’t particularly helpful, he’s always been good at seeing the writing on the walls in situations. All he wants is to carve out a life for himself that’s to his liking, and that life isn’t ambitious: He just wants to stay in his hood, surrounded by the people he knew were for him and people who he trusts, those people were who he considered family and for family, there isn’t a whole lot that he wouldn’t do. He’s not heartless, but he’s not some secret softy either, Ace sees himself as a product of the world he was born in, and if society had a problem with him, then it was society’s problem for creating the circumstances that forged him.

SAMPLE WRITING:

Blood in, blood out. Ace had always liked that from the first time he heard it, liked the concept of knowing without a doubt there were people who had your back and would do whatever for you, so when he got jumped into the greasers, he jumped in believing that with his whole heart as he assumed they all had. The thing was, in recent years it had become painfully apparent that wasn’t the case for everyone and it made Ace sick. He’d festered with the sickness for a long while, longer than he would have if he could do it all again, but what was done and not done was just that. Of course, he did something about it when he couldn’t let the disgust fester in him any longer, when yet another greaser just walked away in pursuit of ‘something greater’ or what the fuck ever. They weren’t a stepping stone or a pit stop, they were a brotherhood, a family, a goddamn unit, or at least that’s what they used to be, and would be again if Ace had anything to say about it.

The way Ace saw it, jumping Scott out was a stroke of genius on his part. Sure he couldn’t emote on queue or kiss ass on a political level, but he saw the beauty in the move if no one else did. They jumped Scott out without killing him, so that right there was a mercy on his part, a nicety for someone who he for a long time considered a really great friend. It was a warning shot to all of those who thought they could just fuck off whenever they felt like they could, a coming out of sorts for their little offshoot of the greasers, a test of loyalty for those he decided to keep closest (all passed, but some came closer than others) and kind of fun if he pushed all of the good times with Scott to the back if his mind,so yeah, it was one of his better ideas for sure.

It was weeks later by now, and the longer time passed, the more invincible Ace felt. He didn’t want the king pin crown or anything, but he could see how the power could be appealing. Even still, he didn’t exactly want to be Nino Brown or anything, and yet there he was with three sets of eyes looking to him for instruction. “Alright, masks down.” He instructed while he and his friends were crouched behind what used to be Ortega’s, and small mom and pop store that had been the latest victim of the gentrification of the south side. Apparently, McKibbon industries had been sweeping through like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, buying up all of the property they could, only they were meant to be looked upon with favor because their offers weren’t insultingly low and because Diego was in their corner. The involvement of a Cruz was enough for Ace to know right then and there that something in the milk wasn’t clean.

Ace pulled his homemade balaclava down over his face and rallied the troops, “We all know what happened to Ortega’s, I don’t have to tell you that or how fucked up it is for another one to bite the dust. But I’m thinking since we can’t do nothin’ about what happened, maybe we can at least avenge Mr. O’s grumpy ass a little by not making it so easy for the new owners. This is our hood and we may be the only defense between this staying our hood and total takeover by Chadwells and Rockerfellers or who the fuck ever. They probably got cameras, so we leave our bikes here in the alley, we fuck the place up as best we can, but we can’t be there for more than 3 minutes. Fuck it, right?” The greaser pulled his gloves on and pulled out two cans of spray paint, tossing one to Storm before he pulled her in by the back of her neck for a kiss, pulling away with a 'MUAH’, Then he was up power walking out from the alley and towards the store front with long fast strides, his crew right behind to unleash a little slice of hell on whoever was dumb enough to think they could colonize a piece of their home.

Cuando Emma Watson lanzó la campaña HeForShe como Embajadora de Buena Voluntad de la ONU y con el respaldo de la Fundación Rockfeller el estrepito no se hizo esperar, los aplausos y elogios por su labor a favor de la lucha por la igualdad de género se volvió un dialogo en las redes sociales con el #HeForShe, la tendencia de en redes discurría en la visibilización del problema social por parte de una estrella de Hollywood.

El algoritmo de posicionamiento de YouTube mostraba un dialogo frente a la propuesta de HeForShe por medio de un vídeo se enmarcaba la campaña de Watson como un proceso de control social, una teoría conspirativa en donde el respaldado de lo Rockefeller deviniera en un proceso para destruir los denominadores sociales tradicionales como la familia dando como resultado la caída poblacional que culminaría en el dominio mundial por parte del linaje americano.

En la lectura de Las Venas Abiertas de América Latina su escritor Eduardo Galeano señala un plan progresista sobre latinoamericana; naciones del primer mundo en busca de una salida a la pobreza que cundía la región, elaboraron planes anticonceptivos a gran escala que se vertebraban como proceso social, económico y político para abrir paso a la inversión extranjera y dar un paso adelante.

La vibrante visión de una distopía en donde el mundo no solo se acerca a la sexta extinción masiva, sino que además se encuentra atrincherada en su propia autodestrucción, “destacamos la confluencia de la perspectiva individual y la perspectiva demográfica. La individual nos dice: no puedo garantizar el bienestar de mi hijo. La perspectiva general señala la dimensión demográfica del número de víctimas de toda clase de problemas”10.

Contrarrestada por la visión conservadora valora la opción de decidir sobre la acción reproductiva ya que el “Estado no puede arrogarse el derecho de diseñar una política de control natal…estaría atentando contra “el derecho de las personas a decidir libremente el número y espaciamiento de sus hijos”11, una constante para salvaguarda el sistema de “las múltiples comodidades que ofrece vivir en un sistema capitalista, más la influencia vil del ecologismo que considera a la existencia humana como un cáncer, las nuevas generaciones no encuentran razones para conservar la tradición más antigua del Hombre: formar familia”12.

Ambas propuestas sucumben al altruismo, aunque dispares caen el punto común de la búsqueda de una sociedad mejor, con métodos disímiles se encuentra un factor común por un instante seden las rendidas a la recreación y el anhelo, aunque momentáneo de la maternidad y paternidad, la visualización de una extensión biológica correlación el instinto lógico evolutivo con el proceso racional.

La construcción mental que solapa al dialogo dentro de una necesidad yoica de tener la razón y el poder sobre el discurso se vuelve dañina entra más riñe por tener el control, “el mito de la superpoblación … uno de los argumentos más usados para justificar algunas de las practicas más aberrantes cometidas por el ser humano como el aborto… ‘para poder sobrevivir y no destruir el planeta, hay que reducir la población mundial’”13. Una balanza que se mece sobre los actos performativos del cuerpo que buscan ser disruptivo en la medida que diametralmente con su voz se permiten realizar una exigencia a la sociedad, “el sacrificar a varias generaciones en nombre de las del futuro me parece algo indecente”14.

Las fallas dentro del sistema parecen ser justificables en la medida que el pensamiento que los respalda no provoque la necesidad de revaluar los conceptos o modos de vida, “aunque hoy en día la población supera en varios miles de millones… el problema alimentario del hambre no obedece a insuficiencia en la producción pero si a fallas en la distribución causadas en la imperfección no autorregulable del mercado de alimento”15, tan solo en un instante para alargar la esperanza del confort un poco más.

En cada espacio donde perdure las ideas enfrentadas pareciese que hay una posibilidad de conciliación, en la argumentación y el punto de la contradicción debería el maniqueísmo ser el salvoconducto del ser humano; la necesidad de preservación va de la mano de la creación de una conciencia racional acerca del sentir que permita conectar cognición con la moralidad y transforma los modos de operar; que los sistemas dejen de ser justificados por no poder, querer, intentar generar el cambio que los hará saludable para una criatura.

Aunque el esbozo parecer se exiguo conciliar el ser humano desde la revaloración del cuerpo puede ser una tarea libertado que permita romper los tótems omnímodos, permitirse reflexionar en las mismas condiciones sobre el otro a forma de reflejo, inspeccionar y no dejar morir los múltiples imaginarios que pueden resultar de un ser humano.
