yk one of my biggest mild pet peeves w a lotta fics is making specifically the tracis especially resentful and scared of connor in a post-deviancy setting. like uh idk bout u but considering they literally stopped trying to escape to talk about their feelings and shit it kinda tells me they saw how he lowered the gun and quickly realized he wasn't a threat and was maybe struggling w his programming. yk the same way the ortiz android did when he said "the truth is inside"? idk id even believe in the ortiz android (if he were alive) being more afraid of connor than the tracis are, as despite all they went through they don't even decide to run from hank's mere presence and that really says something about how much they (or at least the blue-haired one) don't hate connor imo

This is drabble #23 for @connor-sent-by-cyberlife's event (on twitter).

Echo, Ripple, Rupert

Echo and Ripple had to flee in nothing but their underwear and high heels. It was freezing as they ran through the streets, the drizzle turning to snow.

Soon their system temperatures dropped to critical levels, and they found shelter in an abandoned building, where they huddled in a corner and tried to warm each other up.

They were startled when a pigeon landed cooing in front of them and footsteps approached, but they were unable to flee or defend themselves.

“Don't be afraid, I’m Rupert and I can take you to a safe place. Have you heard of Jericho?"

How do you think Puma would get along with Echo and Ripple if they had met? 💕

They probably had the chance to meet on Jericho! Traci models generally tend towards force or fight their way out of bad situations and Puma teaches androids how to shoot, so they'd naturally be drawn to each other by the whole situation. I think they'd be quite friendly and polite to each other, with undertones of seriousness and getting-down-to-business.

Echo and Ripple are seen in Night of the Soul, but aren't seen in the Demonstration/Revolution.

Puma is not seen in Night of the Soul, but is seen in the Revolution route.

This means that the couple are in hiding around Detroit or they plan to cross the border. Upon the Demonstration route, Puma would also be hiding in Detroit, convening with other fighters. There is the (slim but realistic) possibility that she helped the couple hide/get across the border.

They kick ass together. They're strong models.

Puma isn't really a third wheel, but she acts like this when Echo and Ripple are being affectionate in front of her:

Due to their appearances and roles, I like to think they weaponise their femininity.

Puma is envious of their confidence to hold hands. She has always worn gloves.
