Not to sound gatekeepy but like i Feel like you don't get to make superhero aus with actual superhero identities unless you are respecting the backstory of the char you're riffing off of. Like yeah it's fandom you can anything you want ig, but mind blowing to me the amount of aus that people obviously just put their blorbos as two superheros bc they know that fandom ships the two chars and they're popular

Peter fits that meme "Looks like a cinammon roll, could actually kill you" the only reason he hasn't cause he has a moral code and death doesn't sit too well with him. But my son will be insane enough to try some shit
you're so right he COULD kill you he CHOOSES not to. this is a choice for him. there are other choices he can and will make that will fuck your shit up

🕸seeing that the marvels is being marketed as a bit sillier and goofier than most marvel movies after seeing how well that went over in the fandom with she-hulk............. *sigh*
(like i also DESPERATLEY need disney to film rogers the musical before it's done if that's possible but i also DON'T want to deal with how atrocious the fandom would be about it. especially nick's song.)

FTH 2024 Creator Signups are OPEN!
The moment you've been waiting for has arrived! But before you rush straight to the signup form, note that a few things are different from last year:
You will not be able to edit your signup immediately, but you will be able to edit it. We're changing some things on the back end so that we can get posts up faster, but that means that when you get your email confirming your signup it won't have an edit link. Once we've processed your signup (which may take several days), we will send you a link to make edits. Please do NOT fill the signup form out again in order to edit a previous entry! Wait to hear from us.
Typesetting is now an option under Fan Labor. Remember that we only allow digital goods in the main auction - we'll be opening signups soon for the Craft Bazaar if you want to offer bookbinding or other physical crafts.
All Marvel-related fandoms are now under the Marvel top-level fandom (instead of MCU) and all DC-related are under DC. This includes comics. This allows us to stop worrying about, for example, whether Deadpool or Venom is MCU or what "DC Extended Universe" does and doesn't include.
Six of Crows and Shadow and Bone are both covered by the new Grishaverse fandom tag, House of the Dragon is part of ASOIAF/GOT, and 9-1-1 Lone Star is grouped with 9-1-1.
You can view this year's full list of fandoms here - remember that if the fandom you want isn't listed, there is a write-in option. However, check all possible names for your fandom before resorting to write-in! If your fandom is a spinoff, choose the fandom it's related to and specify in your auction notes which parts of canon/the universe you're willing to create for. Every fandom with subfandoms also has an "Any" option if you're willing to create for anything within the top-level fandom and an "Other" option to write in subfandoms.
Even if you've signed up before, please re-read the FAQ to re-familiarize yourself with our policies. If you're new to FTH, check out these tips for first-time creators (and also read the FAQ). It might also help to peruse last year's listings to get an idea for what kind of information people include and how we use the information you give us to form our tagging system.
Remember that you can offer up to three auctions, but you will need to fill out a separate signup for each of those. Each auction can only be for one type of fanwork, but can be offered in up to 3 fandoms (and unlimited subfandoms if you choose a fandom with subfandoms) or "Any fandom." Your bidder will get to choose from any of the fandoms in the listing, so please don't offer something you don't want to create just to get more eyes on your auction.
Signups will be open for two weeks, until February 19th, so there's no rush! Take your time and make sure you understand how it all works and what you're committing to. If you have any questions not covered here or in our FAQ, please email us at fandomtrumpshate @ gmail.com!
Ok, did you read all that? You know what's different from last year? You've refreshed your knowledge of our FAQ?
In that case, sign up for FTH 2024 here!

Personal canons are the canon everyone has created based on the canon and fanon content they've consumed.
Expansion not necessary. I just wanted to add my thoughts.
1. Examples range from wanting to wrap his drinks in a web before drinking them to wanting to fall asleep curled up in the back corner of his closet. No, it doesn't matter which Spider-Man.
2. This one is just my perception of the two. There's nothing I can actually tell you about this other than the vibes seem to match.
3. The headcanon of Poison Ivy eating mostly meat is fun. (Not fully carnivore because I think she'd also eat plants because it's necessary to eat both to be a healthy human and can be healthy for the environment if done in moderation). I decided to combine it with Danny Phantom for this because I haven't seen anyone do it before. So, Ivy being mostly carnivorous and Sam being ultra-recyclo-vegetarian would be appalled at each others diets.
4. Cyborg's connected to a supercomputer created by a more scientifically advanced society, while Barbara is a human (I specified her because she's the best Bat at hacking.) Her being the best hacker in the universe is a stretch at best. There's gotta be computer languages she's unable to decipher because it's so different to any on earth. (I don't think anyone from earth should be able to hack cyborg or the mother/father boxes.) If your supercomputer can be hacked by the equivalent of a preteen with a 2010 samsung who doesn't even recognise the coding language you used, then you didn't create a supercomputer. (Mother/father boxes are sentient, autonomous computers btw.)
5. Young Justice was good. Great. It just seemed to stop caring as much about having the new audience learn about the characters after season 2. I wouldn't know who Razer is if I didn't watch Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I stopped having emotional connections with the characters by season 4 and they stopped wrapping up storylines in an emotionally fulfilling manor after season 2. As someone who never read any comic books except for Spider-man/Deadpool and a few green lantern ones and one batman and spider-man crossover, I don't care about the characters they shove into the show and expect everyone to care about.
6. I get it. The "he won't stop if he does it once" was only in one comic (apparently) and the comic was written by someone that (apparently) most of the fandom doesn't like. I don't care. Every reason he has for not killing is valid and coexists. He collects reasons to not kill like it's gold and he's a dragon. The only reason that is invalid and can't coexist is that he doesn't care enough about the people that could get hurt or killed to permanently stop people like Joker, Bane, or Scarecrow.
7. It makes sense if they were the two to get touch starved easily. Dick grew up in a circus where everyone was presumably pretty tight knit and Tim grew up in a home where appearance mattered more than feelings. But also they happen to be the characters I like to torture.
8. Strange is petty and I 100% believe that Tony started it. (Stephen is finishing it though.)
9. Freddy Freeman can't walk without crutches and flies in the comics. (I haven't read them, tho) I feel like it's erasing disabled peoples' struggles when they just give him the ability to walk in his hero form. Let him be a little flying guy who never touches the ground.
10. It's a comic thing again. I just think it's more interesting. (I found pages of captain marvel comics in google images and tumblr.)

Choose violence: 1. the character everyone gets wrong
Wade Wilson. Harley Quinn. Tim Drake. Dick Grayson.
I could go more but each one for each particular reasons.
The problem with comic book fandom is that eventually people will be attracted by the vibe. And there's nothing wrong with that most of the time the vibe is good.
Unfortunately it does involve people affirming things without being absolutely sure and myself was also guilty of that a while ago.
Yet, I do not think we should bash these people or act purposely towards them, the comic media is big. There are 80 years of history regarding some characters (Dick for example) and others (the newest ones like Harley, Tim, Deadpool) around 30 years +. That's a lot.
And I am not even pointing out the fact that how different writers will have different takes and different approaches to each character, because each history regarding them will have a particular theme and unfortunately comics suffer from what I call "playing doll house" effect where the writer wants to make a concept he finds very amusing or interesting and most of the time they will be willing to bend character each way their like to serve that.
As a newbie in comics the possibility of getting characters wrong, getting overwhelmed and taking early comics where the version of those characters is fucked up already, wanting to give up even before start is absolutely understandable and possible.
It is overwhelming, it is easy to get it wrong, it is even expected to get wrong because most of this characters have been suffering some kind of flandarization coming from the comics itself.
That being said.
Jesus Christ how those this poor fuckers are misunderstood.
Since I do not read much comics from Tim Drake I won't be speaking much about him, I also won't be speaking much about Dick because I am getting around reading his old series now.
The problem with characters like Wade, Dick and Harley is that the three of them are multifaceted people. Writing characters and understanding characters who are multifaceted is hard.
I, for a long time believed that their more silly moments the jokes and easy going persona where facades a thing that they use as a coping mechanism a thing that it's not the real them. Now I am not so sure.
Yes I do agree a lot of people summarize them as either this ray of sunshine without real feelings and in Wade's and Harleys case a crazy person that has no logical thought process.
The thing is that all of them can be funny and thoughtful. Can have the habilidades of cracking jokes both because they feel like but also to distract an enemy.
Dick Grayson can be a very thoughtful and kind person and cat like an asshole when he's in a bad mood and willingly be mean with people he cares about.
It all boils down to one thing that I have been thinking a lot lately. Comics are one of the few medias where you can have all the liberties to make multifaceted people, people who make mistakes and have a long time to make up for it. To fall on old ways to evolve, devolve, you can express and explore them in each way it relates to the character history and the people who love them.
And I find it such a shame that it's literally the characters who are the most written in that way the ones who suffer the "only character trait ever" syndrome.

Girl’s night was sacred. It was the one night a month where you and the rest of the girls in the Avengers plus Maria and Pepper, go out on Tony’s money and get royally fucked up while shit-talking the dumb men in your lives.
Music blasted from your speakers as you danced around your room in your underwear, singing along. Your bedroom door opened suddenly and a blond head popped through while you were belting out a very passionate rendition of one particular country song that got you in the mood to party.
“Dove?” Thor’s powerful voice easily carried over the music, startling you.
“Jesus Christ!” You yelped, whipping around to face your best friend, not bothering to try and cover up. “Thor, how many times have I told you to knock.” You turned down your music to a more appropriate level. He just shrugged and took that as a signal to enter your room, shutting the door behind him.
“I did knock, the melodies you were playing were very loud and must have covered it.” You rolled your eyes.
“I’m sure. Was there something you wanted or do you just make it a habit of walking into a lady’s room when she isn’t dressed?” Turning from him, you grab the jeans that you were wearing out tonight.
“What does ‘save a cowboy’ mean?” Your brows drew together in confusion before you laughed.
“It’s not ‘save a cowboy’ it’s ‘save a horse’. Y’a know, ‘save a horse, ride a cowboy’.” You stepped into the tight jeans and pulled them up your legs, giving a little hop to get the denim over your ass.
“Why would you ride a cowboy? It seems very inefficient. It would make more sense to have a steed or a large cat.” Thor seemed genuinely confused and borderline upset over the misunderstanding. You quickly abandoned the rest of your clothes in favour of comforting your best friend.
“It’s a metaphor for sex.” You said plainly, knowing from past experiences that you had to be direct with the god. Yet his lips were still downturned and his blue eyes dulled with confusion. You sighed heavily through your nose.
Then an idea struck you. A glance at the clock told you that you had a little over an hour before you had to meet with the girls. “Fuck it.” You shoved Thor with all your might and he fell back onto your bed, landing on the mattress with an ‘oof’.
You shimmied back out of your jeans and straddled the god. His hands immediately came to rest on your wide hips as you wrapped your arms around his neck. “How about a demonstration?”
The girls wouldn’t mind if you were a little late.

Celebrities I think would go well with one of the tumblr vibes:
Neil Gaiman, obviously. He's our cryptid.
Fight me on this, but Ryan Reynolds is deadpool in the flesh and deadpool has like, created this site or smth.
Tom Felton. Honestly, does he have a blog here called drarryking? I bet he's here already in hiding.
David Tennant. But like....on accident. He wouldn't understand shit on this side. He's already living a pseud and would take a new one specially for tumblr and post totally normal stuff and like... Visit this side once a month, cause he get's like 5 reblogs out of it. Then he sends a cat meme which goes off and he'd be totally lost. He would also, unironically, text neil Gaiman for the next season of good omens in the ask box and get a "wait and see" answer out of it.
Colin Morgan. I just think it would be funny, if he were here, not even with a pseud or posting anything at all. He'd have like no Interactions, he'd just be here on an empty blog to see what's going on and is silently surprised that the merlin fandom is still alive. He wouldn't even do it often. Just like... Once a year on accident, when he suddenly remembers that he has a blog here. On the Chance that he interacts, he's instantly blocked, cause we think he's a bot.
Taika Waititi. The poor chaos of this man. He's a creator. He'd post memes and updates of his works and still somehow end up among the average tumblr user ratio.
Mary Shelly. If she were alive. Or maybe that doesn't matter in her case.
Alice Oseman. But that doesn't count. She rose from the tumblr grave and made herself known to the outside world. She was born here and here she will live. The outside get's to see what she accomplished, but we are her roots and the grovel that shaped her.
These are all the people that I know. I'm bad with names and mostly watch cartoons. Lel.
People who I think shouldn't/ wouldn't be on this side:
Anthony Head. I want him here though, lol.
Bradley James. Yes, i'm going through the merlin cast first. And Bradley is cool and all. But he doesn't have the vibe.
Angel Coulby. I dunno. I think she's above this hellsite. She'd be falling from grace and I simply cannot imagine it.
Katie McGrath. Albeit a close one.
Michael Sheen. He's chaotic enough. But I can't imagine it. Maybe i'm reading too much Aziraphael in his character. But he's the chaos on a good website, while David is the good on the hellsite.
Elliot Page. I dunno. I think he would go to a cooler website, like instagram or i dunno. Even facebook. He'd be welcome here, and I think he might visit from time to time. But I don't think he'd have a blog of their own.
Daniel Radcliff. No?
jensen Ackles. I don't think tumblr could handle him
Misha collins. He's here. Kinda. In spirit. But he can't quite reach us. He's the ghost that haunts us. He can't have a blog.
Disclaimer:
#this is a Personal headcanon. You can disagree or agree with all of these and I won't be offended. This is meant as a joke.
# some of these people might already be here. Reality overrules my headcanons.
#i realise I mostly know male actors. But Not knowing things is my right as a person.
#please add your own ideas, or disprove mine. This could be fun :)

I'm new to the JJK fandom, and after one month of interacting with the fandom, I noticed that many view Gojo as a womanizer. I believe it to be false.
Maybe it's because of that one time Gege commented that he doesn't see Gojo being faithful to a woman (that man looks like a twink, so I don't blame you, Akutami). Nonetheless, I do not believe it means that Gojo is a playboy/ fuckboy.Let me tell you: while Gojo got the looks, it does not change the fact that he got no hoes He's a hoe repellent no matter the gender.
He is that type of guy that is really handsome, but the moment he opens his mouth, your perception of him changes so much that you would find Deadpool's left ass cheek more attractive. Hell, even Toji's worm. My dude is annoying as hell. He is rude, tactless, and privileged. Add to that the fact that he might also have mommy and daddy issues  because I'm sure he was not treated like a normal kid (but that is another discussion for another time).
Gojo might also have a lot of trust issues combined to the fact that he tends to isolate himself by not letting himself get too close to others. Like this guy is the strongest sorcerer, and his birth caused a shift in the Jujutsu world. Since his birth, people have been trying to kill him. Even the higher up in Jujutsu, see him as a nuisance and are waiting for the opportunity to do him dirty and you to tell me that he doesn't have trust issues? He has infinity on all the time, to the point that he does that subconsciously, and you want to tell me that he's gonna drop that just to get laid? So that he can get  a cursed technique aimed right at his balls?
And even if he is a playboy in the sense that it's not sexual and it's just emotional cheating. The dude feels like no one can relate to him. No one understands what it's like to be at the top, to be the strongest. So what would be the point?
I like Gojo, but in real life, being in a relationship with this man means you'll probably be his therapist because I know this guy has a lot of issues. At least he got money, so you'll be compensated I guess?
I'm rambling a lot, and it's not structured, but I also do not want to write a whole essay in your ask box.
In conclusion: It must be the cash cause it ain't your personality or whatever Beyoncé said.
What do you think?
When I tell you that "womanizer Gojo" is one of the characterizations I hate that some of the fandom has given him I HATE IT.
This is why we take the time to reread something and better understand it because in what world does a womanizing Gojo fits? Especially, in canon when it would be hard to maintain a romantic relationship given the risks Jujutsu sorcerers take? And with the description you gave are other reasons why Gojo wouldn't have a significant other.
Let's be honest, if there was one person who could handle Gojo it was Geto. This isn't me saying this as a shipper, but just stating a fact.
Like, if he would have a romantic partner, it would have him. Shoko's their friend, yes. But that is the most that she sees herself as. Chapter 220, she states hell would freeze over before she falls for any of those two. She's aware of the flaws they both have, but that doesn't she didn't want to be there for them.
One thing I like about Gojo is that despite the reputation he has as a sorcerer, he got his flaws that make him human. Just me, but I don't see the point of adding more flaws to him if I like him already as he is. Like, come on. Just make an OC, at this point.
I know sometimes canon can suck, but fanon? Is worse sometimes.
It's like how some people will depict Yuji drinking and eating anything because "Oh, he's a total dumbass".
I hate that. Yes, Yuji states he's dumb, but he has displayed he does have intelligence and sometimes even he ain't with the bullshit with others. When he said he'll eat anything, it was more on the lines of "I'll eat a cursed object to save people" not "I'll drink gasoline because I was dared to".
Like, damn, he ain't that careless! He ain't that stupid! (Just giving him the Kaminari treatment, huh?)
Just... I wish more people actually stop and think about what they're reading instead of running with it and going with a depiction that others say is "canon" (it's not) or "better than canon". Especially, with a media that isn't from your native country.

Hey there hope you are doing fine it is occurred to me that you are a huge lov Stan if it is not too much to ask could you give me a retrospective on your view of the lov and your opinion on them as they have grown and evolved and then your current opinion on where deku vs shiggy is headed thx.
I'm honored to be considered an LOV stan. Anyway, from the top:
Magne - Actually? Really enjoyed her for the time she was there. I think it would have been neat if her story tied into Aizawa, Hawks, or Nagant's somehow (meaning that they'd pursued her at one time or had been doing research on her specifically for a job - nothing super deep) to give her a little more focus and make the MHA cast seem more related and compact. I would have even liked her to live a little longer so she could do more LOV hijinks and show us more of that "big sis" title. I know some people don't like Magne or found it to be in bad taste that she died, but I don't feel it was a choice made in spite and I didn't have a problem with it, personally.
Kurogiri - Dark secret time: I actually do not really care about Kurogiri as Shigaraki's "caretaker" without the infusion of ambiguous Shirakumo energy and heart. I'm not a big "found family" person and I was never super into the takes of the major LOV fandom regarding this topic. Anyway, Kurogiri may or may not ever be exactly as he was as Shirakumo, but the more Shirakumo's presence is felt (even if he fights it and is like, "nooo I am loyal to Shigaraki! I don't care about these Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada people!" because even then, it's still kinda the Shirakumo-heart-of-a-hero-loyal-to-his-friends OS running the show), the more I like him. I'm super stoked with the straightforward trope choices HK made for this character.
Shuichi Iguchi/Spinner - Spinner is so cute. I think Spinner is so, so cute and pathetic and sweet and wanting. God, he'll follow anything if he thinks it might make a difference. He is ready to lay down everything for Shigaraki even though he does not really understand him. He is so desperate to be a part of something, his heart is honestly in the right place when it comes to the individual members of the LOV, but every choice he makes or moment of self-doubt he has makes things worse. His heart is pure and every choice he makes takes him farther and farther from what he really wants. Please save Spinner. Someone, please save Spinner. Please love Spinner and help him do and want things independently of others and by his own direction and efforts. It can start small like getting him to grow and care for his own vegetables before he figures out what it is he'd really like to do or be.
Atsuhiro Sako/Mr. Compress - He kinda left it all on the floor when his moment came, so I don't have much to say besides I like him and of course he stole my heart when he asked me, the reader, to listen to his backstory before he bled out from ripping a hole in his own ass. In some ways, I like this a lot given that BNHA is a story-within-a-story, but in other ways I feel like this could have been more elegantly handled. I'm glad he lived and I'm excited to see him do more things outside of prison. He doesn't need to be in prison. That's just my opinion, though.
Jin Bubaigawara/Twice - Fantastic. Twice was always cute in that pesky-annoying way of any Deadpool Expy, but I think he's even cuter and softer of heart than Wade Wilson. I love how straightforwardly his backstory is told once we're allowed to see it, and I love - and hate - that his last thoughts were that Hawks had no right to pity/judge him as lucky or unlucky. His final "curse" to Hawks is powerful to me, particularly since it shows that, despite everything, Jin had people who actually knew him for who he was and liked him for it. At least, he had Toga. There's really a lot I could say about the Jin-and-Hawks situation, including how Jin's rejection of Hawks' conditions to let him live were also a rejection of Hawks and his choices, but I think those are the highlights. I really like that he got less goofy as we got to know him, but was never NOT goofy.
Himiko Toga - Dabi is a close second, but I think Toga is my favorite of the LOV. Hers is a classic female villain trope - crazy, jealous, horny, pansexual vampire blood-witch - but the story takes her completely seriously and asks what the FUCK is wrong with the situation of the world in order for her story to turn out like this. She's a classic, but better and with a human heart. So like, the thing about Toga is that she and her behavior doesn't really change - it's only the context that does as more is revealed about her. Also, her cutesy-yandere antics combined with Twice manages to actually make a funny pair rather than an annoying one. I mean, yeah, they're annoying, but it's in a charming way. If Ochako breaks her heart I'll fucking enter that manga myself and kill her. But Ochako won't do that because Ochako understands what she is doing.
Toya/Dabi - I am a big!!! Fan!!! Of Toya's dramatic ass! Pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic! Any time I think I'm throwing a tantrum and being a spoiled brat, I think of Dabi and realize I've not yet hit rock bottom. From basically his intro, it was obvious he was a Todoroki and even more delicious that nobody in-story (not Aizawa, not Shoto, not Enji, not Hawks, not nobody) could figure it out even when he was soooooo desperate for them to figure it out and then got to reveal it! On TV! Oh, the drama! The spectacle! (Miss me with the "oooooooh it's not confiiiiiiirmed Dabi is a Todoroki" stuff, 'cause, c'mon you guys: this is the over-the-top-dramatic-irony manga.) That said, the tantrum is warranted - the thing he honestly needs is attention and acknowledgement as well as continued support. Dabi is my favorite Daddy Issues character. Cannot wait to see what his life looks like after his tantrum's over - which I think will happen. He's still alive in the manga and the Todorokis still have a long way to go even if he does kick the bucket by the end (he won't, though his lifespan might be reduced or something. There's gotta be blowback for becoming a charcoal briquette twice.)
Tenko Shimura/Tomura Shigaraki - I actually didn't give two hoots about him until we got the confirmed insight that he's a little boy in a 23-year-old body. I actually find Shigaraki to be the most boring of the LOV, but a lot of interesting things happen to him and he does a lot of interesting internal repression and exploration even with his limited understanding and context for his situation. I enjoy that his "enlightenment" is an artificial one that encourages destruction but opposes not only the status quo but any future creation. He's change and chaos, but only until the moment he succeeds, because then his destruction will be the stagnant status quo. Right now, he's got the otherworldly white hair like a Japanese demon or half-divine being and unlike Toya (who is totally a vengeful spirit and fire demon straight from hell) he's kinda suggesting a western angel, too. Must be cool to be the most significant and "perfect" white-haired anime boy in a series, huh. That's a lot of power, Sephiroth.
He's a great dragon-and-damsel rolled into one, and Izuku is going to save him with some help. It's as straightforward as that. After that, Tenko will probably want to become the definition of a true hero - not a Hero (as in the in-universe job), but someone proud of the legacy his grandmother and Toshinori tried to uphold while still desiring improvements. His destruction may be channeled into a real weapon of justice meant to meaningfully destroy the corrupt but with the goal to then make right what had been wronged. I wouldn't be totally surprised if he undergoes another quirk evolution and is able to create stuff a la Fullmetal Alchemist using the stuff he destroys/using the same stuff he would have otherwise destroyed. If so, it might be more apt to call his quirk something like "Flourish"/"Growth" or even "Improve"/"Surpass" rather than "Decay". The one thing I think Shigaraki can never really accept (though he will bide his time if needed) is stasis. Eventually, I think he'll become another intended successor of All Might, though frankly anyone in the series can and should earn that title at this point.

requested by ; anonymous (09/01/23)
fandom(s) ; deadpool (films) / marvel
fandom masterlist(s) ; here
character(s) ; deadpool / wade wilson
outline ; “could you possibly do deadpool with a reader who just lost a pet they’ve had for years? i understand if you’d rather not though! /gen”
warning(s) ; loss of a beloved pet
to get the obvious point out of the way first; comfort and being a comforting presence isn’t really wade’s strong suit
like, yes, he generally knows what to do (physical affection, words of comfort, grabbing your favourite take out and snacks, and a movie you love to watch) and will try to go through the motions — but the moment he arrives on your doorstep and is confronted with how distraught you are, he kind of just panics
food momentarily forgotten, he’ll gather you up in his arms and just sit there with you in the threshold to your home, muttering reassurances and comforts and trying to crack some jokes to make you laugh (soothed by the choked half-sigh of amusement that he gets after one particularly cheesy comment) until you’re okay to stand and he can take everything inside
it’s then that, whilst untying the stupidly stubborn knots on the bags and messily portioning out the food, that the loss actually hits him too — he’d been so focused on looking after you since he got your call that he didn’t get to process what had happened
he’d known your pet too — not as well as you, no, but they’d always been there as your relationship blossomed into the beautifully chaotic mess that it had become today — and without their presence your home (well, both of your home — he spends more than enough time there to call it as much, he thinks) feels much heavier and much emptier
he sees scattered remnants of their presence as he brings you your food and you put the movie on — whether that’s their favourite toy, the spot that was definitively theirs, or their enclosure that’s still sitting, unoccupied, where it’s always been — and it takes more effort than usual to keep up his usual energetic persona
but, somehow, he manages
for your sake and his
he prods you in the places you’re ticklish just to make you squirm and glare at him
he whispers the dumbest things he can in your ear just to make you laugh or chortle or snort — insults at the main characters, sexual jabs at the villains, animated whisper-shouts of frustration when someone does something stupid, and so on
he smothers you with affection and compliments until you’re giggling having to clamp your hands over his mouth, begging him to ‘shush’ so that you can actually focus on the film
then, once the film is over, the two of you are left to lay there in that uncomfortable silence until those inevitable few words are shared and the dam breaks once again
‘i miss them’
‘i miss them too’
and this time wade will let you cry and sob and scream your sorrows until you fall asleep, throat raw and eyes aching and cheeks wet as his ratty old hoodie gets soaked with salt and snot, and then he’ll carry you to bed
he’s not too good at the whole comfort thing, but he does his best for you because that’s what you do for the people you love
and tomorrow he’ll go and get something special for you — after all, in a school that big there’s sure to be a mutant or two that’s artsy and willing to create a sculture or portrait or something for a grieving pet-parent
maybe silver balls even knows who he can talk to about it… he’d call him in the morning

So, uh, just reread "chapter"all it takes is one bad day" and does Twice have pure white pupils and irises like AFO supposedly does? Like, I haven't seen any clear official art of his eyes, but in the one back cover of him they look like they're pure white?

Tumblr media
At this point I'm just going to have to make an entire essay on how we should be reading Japanese media with an understanding of cultural and class markers. No, Jin does not have the same eyes or similar eyes to AFO. Yes, there's connections with Jin and AFO but that's another topic. 1. AFO's eye color hasn't been really confirmed aside from that one WSJ cover that implies they can be clear and white. 2. That's not what the "something about my eyes rubs people the wrong way" means. This is what I mean about the cultural context being missing from most of us Western-readers and how we just don't get reading the manga with no guide to explain small details to us. I also wish Jin was just popular so I don't feel like I'm the only one in the fandom yammering about the ridiculous amount of depth he has as a character and in his storyline. First off, Jin's eyes are sunken in, his features abnormally "chiseled" and rough for an anime character. By the time we meet him he looks like he's had a hard life but we also find out in flashbacks he always kind of looked like that.
Tumblr media
He's unkempt - stubbled, has the sunken eyes and dark eyebags the villains are generally drawn with. He smokes, drinks, wears a wife beater, has no eyebrows, and used to ride a motorcycle. All these things are a red flag. This is where "you really need to be familiar with Japanese media before you read BNHA" comes in, Jin, while drawing from several different Western comic characters (John Constantine, Deadpool, Rorschach), is also neatly fitting into the yanki and bosuzoku (sorta) trope. Or Japanese delinquents. What throws people "off" is the lack of eyebrows. Yanki are traditionally portrayed with no eyebrows. This link here explains that at sight a delinquent can be identified with shaved eyebrows. This is why so many villainous or rough characters are eyebrowless. It's like the Japanese equivalent of giving villains twirly mustaches and goatees - something about the imagery of that already implies villain in our minds, whereas the lack of eyebrows implies delinquent/criminal in the Japanese cultural imagination (in modern day settings. Heian-era eyebrow-lessness is a different story/class marker).
Tumblr media
He's also blonde, or "chapatsu" which is also another "Delinquent" trope in Japan - many delinquents in the 70s-90s bleached their hair to this yellow or orange color (hence "cha" which obviously means tea/chai). Japanese schools are infamously awful at allowing for self-expression to the point where naturally brown-haired students can be forced to dye their hair, and chapatsu hair was a marker of a rebellious/delinquent student. Twice isn't the only one who Horikoshi uses this trope for. Tomura, for example, really had the "up to no good" look early on even if I think he's more of a homebody.
Tumblr media
You know who else?
Tumblr media
Huh, interesting, given Takami's a murderous professional career thief alcoholic. Wait a minute, wasn't Jin was one of the greatest Japanese thieves until his accident, I wonder exactly what Horikoshi meant by making Thief Takami have a similarly unkempt appearance, rough rugged facial features, and barely any brows? Wait -
Tumblr media
Something to understand is that we've gotten information from Yoco Akiyama in TUM about how the main manga's design process works and apparently the facial feature consistency is really important for the artists. Thus the fact Keigo's parents were designed with: 1. Rough, sunken features (Thief & Jin) 2. Unkempt facial fair (Thief & JIn) 3. Deep eyebags (Jin & Tomie) 4. Similarly disordered filthy homes (Takami fam & Jin) 5. Beer Bottles lying around everywhere (Takami fam & Jin) 6. Small, beady eyes with little pupils (Takami Fam & Jin) 7. Grey-Blue Eyes (Tomie & Jin) 8. Clear mental instability (Tomie & Jin) Was absolutely intentional. For all that we see Keigo's parents, Horikoshi knowingly designed them to resemble Jin. Again, Jin was Keigo's villain to save. Keigo was Jin's hero. Keigo failed because we needed a character to fail to save "their villain". Both Keigo and Jin have clear working-class background and criminal class markers. These things tie them together, these marginalized identifications make their relationship something that should have worked. If we want an in-universe reason for Keigo's focus on Jin, it's absolutely true he likely (subconciously) saw his parents superficially reflected in Jin, and decided to "save" him because he was unable to save his parents. Of course, that was not only presumptuous, it was also wrong because Jin is not a stand-in for Keigo's parents (and unlike them is a decent person). Anyway, yeah, no Jin's design/looks made him look like a "thug" to people in his community. That's why he had issues and that's what his comment meant. People's biases about people who look like Twice made him just get...away less. If someone "looks like a thug" you will try to make connections that justify that bias. That's why things like his motorcycle accident hurt him so much. He was uneducated, likely a middle-school dropout, fired from a job, had a record and had "bad vibes". Who'd hire him? Can you understand why Jin was doomed into having to survive as a criminal? Society decided he was meant to fail years before he did fail. So much of BNHA is about people falling into traps of pre-determined outcomes. Jin's tragically so.

Tumblr media
Pairing: Wade "Deadpool" Wilson x Supe!reader
Warnings: Wade being wade, reader making it funny, I can't with these two, we love a chaotic duo, I love this fandom bc you can get crazy with it, cursing, this is the shortest thing I've ever written
Word Count: 147
Based on this post
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn't notice you at first, or maybe, he didn't care enough to check.
You stare at him with a horrified look, you've been watching him for too long and feel like you can't move.
He turns to make his way into the living room, finally noticing you.
You can tell he's smiling under the mask by his movements, "perks" of being his friend (and ally, if he ever needed backup).
"Hey, I wasn't expecting you here just yet."
"I wasn't expecting to be traumatized but yet, here we are."
"What do you mean?" He lifts his mask so he can take a sip of his drink.
"You blended a fucking chimichanga! Who does that? Insane people, that's who."
"Who told you I was sane?"
You narrow your eyes to him. "Fair point." You plop onto the couch. "Finish your demon juice so we can watch tv."
