Here is your helpful Black Mesa Masterpost!

Beyond Black Mesa is a HLVRAI postgame story written by Mothra @year2000electronics​ . It follows the story of the aftermath of the final boss... and the birthday bash at the end of the world! 

This is a game AU, meaning HLVRAI is a video game in this universe, and everything went down the same as it would in the regular series, save for some artists’ interpretations of events. 

This blog is divided into chapters, like one big story!

Chapter 1- Those Who Wander 

Chapter 2- Why So Blue?

Chapter 3- An Inconvenient Truth

Chapter 4- Mouse-Trapped!

Character posts will be tagged as “[character name].txt”. Posts by the mod are tagged as “ooc”. 

Current Character Call: 

Dr. Darnold- a resourceful but skittish potion-brewer.

Forzen- the remaining member of the US Military. Exceedingly stupid. 

Benrey- Back from the deadrey. Former final boss, current friend of the Science Team.

The Glitch- a glitch, similar to Benrey. However, it doesn’t appear to be originally from Half-Life.

Scott Rana- The player. His presence in the game seems to control things like plot flags and the flow of time. G-Man and Benrey accidentally managed to pull the real him in instead of the player model.

Dr. Coomer- Wise beyond his years. Main tutorial NPC and member of the Science Team.

Bubby- Dauntless and fearful. Wild card of the Science Team.

Tommy Coolatta- Knows his way around things. Most trustworthy member of the Science Team.

The G-Man- Guardian angel of the Science Team. Proud father.

The Staff Ghost- once a stand-in for the top time in On A Rail, they’ve become Half-Life’s last stand to ‘fix’ the game and return everything back to normal.
