(I’ll use this hilarious ask as an excuse to talk about myself a little. I’ve gained a little audience here since I rejoined the fandom (and I am not leaving, you won’t make me), so it’s probably due.)

I’m Ana (short for Anastasia, yeah, like in that cartoon), I’m 24, Disaster bi, Dean!girl all the way, one hell of a heller, cockles truther, finale denialist and the person who puts the silliest shit in her tags.

You may know me by the most ridiculous additions to your posts, I apologize for every single one of them.

I am sorry, but I have no regrets.

My silly face and some random facts under the cut, not to irritate the people following me for fandom content only.

Some random facts about me:

Supernatural is my first fandom and Destiel is my first ship. Yeah, I said it.

Except for SPN I’ve slipped into Sherlock (Mormor all the way), Teen Wolf (Sterek), Queer as Folk (every ship), Hannibal (Murder husbands), Good omens (Ineffable husbands). I think I’m missing something, but oh well.

Neil Gaiman liked my art once.

I’ve been told I look Irish and I took it as a compliment (this just popped up in my mind and I have no idea what you should do with this information).

I’ve made out with more girls, then boys (like 10 times more, but heh).

My current relationship started with my jealous boy pulling me away from the girl I was kissing and claiming to be the only one to be allowed to kiss me ever since. Romantique✨

I moved to another country when I was 17, alone.

I’ve met my best friend (she’s from another side of the world) during my Mormor era, it’s been 8 years; we travelled around 4 countries together; her mom adores me, my whole family likes her better. My 14 yo self is so jealous.

I probably have an undiagnosed ADHD.

I’ve read over 300 books before I turned 18.

I’ve seen all CSIs (and all seasons, yeah).

I’m one of those irritating people who have seen all the movies, who knows all the actors and can’t shut up about them when recognizes them from elsewhere.

I’m fluent in four languages (I’m bilingual, so Russian and Ukrainian + Polish + English), but I’ve been learning 7. Kinda my thing.

I’m writing in English, because that’s my comfort language. Who could have thought.

I’m allergic to lactose, oranges, racism, homophobia and bullshit in general.

For anon: my fave ice cream is salted caramel and peanut butter. But since I’m lactose intolerant i don’t get it often 😭

I can’t live not by a body of water (a river, a lake, a sea - anything) or I get depressed. I live by Baltic Sea now.

My parents once lost me on vacation. I have such a ridiculously accurate visual memory that I found my way back to our hotel all by myself. They came back to get some water and freaked out when found me chilling in the hall. I was five.

My dad drove over my foot once.

I’m a storyteller by heart, but a data analyst by contract.

The first two things I check when I visit a country are the power sources (a professional curiosity, I work with power market data mostly) and who are the most famous writers and actors born there. The third one? The national drink.

I am a very cute flirty drunk.

Also when I get drunk, I have the best dad jokes ever. Most of them are dirty ones. Look at my tags and multiply by 100.

I’m a cat person.

And while I’m writing this, Axel (Axelrod, like the dude from “Billions”) is chilling on my lap.

You can tell this is a deeper, different dynamic and it really shows how close they’ve gotten after that heart wrenching Season 11 finale. these NEWLYWEDS. they are in a RELATIONSHIP. And Cas’s terrible attempt at helping also shows how new and fresh it is, how they’re working through how to “be” this new way together, Dean still working on how to express feelings without spiraling, Cas clumsily trying to support him. I AM GOOOOOOO.

This is a fucking warm blanket.

Also confirmed by the subsequent scene, because otherwise WHY EVEN HAVE THIS DIALOGUE in the follow-up call:

DEAN

Hey, Cass, what do you got?

***Cas asks because he’s not sure if Dean is trying to talk about his feelings again or if it’s still about the case, because this is THAT NEW (and he probably had an ENTIRE headcase moment about his prior horrific attempt to “help” so he’s worked up all sorts of tidbits of advice for next time) *** <- can someone ficlet this little plot hole? I need it in my life.

***This entire scene deserves a thorough rewatch. Go watch it now. Bathe in the serotonin. I watched it probably 6 times. THE BODY LANGUAGE. THE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. Cas saying “you brought your mother” because he KNOWS how worried and overprotective Dean is of her, already. This is Destiel peak supportive husband and Mary is realizing it and its just all so fucking cute and happy. Bravo to all of your Acting Choices!

In the back corner tucked in a file stored away in that of which seemed to be the corner of his mind he Aron pulled forward the mile high stack of pages that seemed to tell the story of his life.

Chapter One

At the time of his birth, in which, seem to be the happiest moment of the Morales’ family life they had a beautiful baby boy. Aron. Aron was their course for greatness. Their greatest warrior and storm, but their became just a she. The couple the made him together, soon separated. His father leaving his mom and him alone. Not being alone for long his mother packed them up and moved them in with her wealthy and upper class parents in Spain after having ran away with the guy she fell in love with quite a few years prior before in high school. It was a welcome that seemed bitter sweet, but the mother knew there, at least her and her new born son wouldn’t be alone, unloved, and wouldn’t have to want for nothing. They had a family.

Chapter Two

Aron was now thirteen and as far as he knew he was sick of family. His mother and her mom seemed to have a hold on his life. Since the age he was able to learn he was stuck between four walks of the built in singular person classroom being taught academics from hired teachers. Stuck in the four walls of a mansion style home under lock and key that kept him out from meeting kids his own age. He was tired of it, but in the midst of it all he grew closer to his grand dad. A man that was full of wise wisdom. ‘Stick up for what you want Aron. Don’t bow to the needs of others before your own.’ His mother’s father ran so deep with knowledge that he finally wasn’t afraid to finally put his foot down to tell both his mom and her mother that he was no longer going to be homeschooled, that want he wanted to be like the other kids his age and attend the regular classes.

Chapter Three

He had gotten his way, but his grand dad never intended in him becoming half the teen he was now. Sixteen. Aron was sixteen, and in the course of the three years since he was granted what he wanted at thirteen he had been in and out of five different boarding and private schools. He was reckless with the advice he was given, taking every ounce of it and holding it close to his heart. The first time he was expelled he was warned not once, not twice, but three times that he couldn’t correct the french teacher on her teaching. He went above and beyond, of course, in his truest know it all fashion, and one day told her to have her to have a seat at his desk as he got up and began his own lesson plans he had for that class on that day. The second time was when Aron had started taking sex ed and condoms were offered freely. At this time he developed what was known to be his first crush, a crush that happened to be on his beautiful sex ed teacher. Not having been educated at home, school was where he learned the main need to know basics. Having this crush however led to a one sided flirtation with him eventually leaving a hand full of condoms and a handwritten note that expressed his mere intentions of wanting to meet the object of his affection after class and ‘fuck her until his name was known and heard around the school.’ Being told yes he had went to meet with her in the teachers lounge and instead was met with his mother, grandparents, and the dean and dismissed from another school for making a teacher uncomfortable. The third time he was dismissed from a boarding two hours away from home. Sleeping around with both the dean and his daughter wasn’t the best idea Aron could have possibly had, but he did it anyways. He loved the attention they both gave him. It wasn’t until that one unfortunate night, however, that all came to a close when the dean’s daughter walked in to the housing unit they lived in and caught her boyfriend intertwined with her dad. He was packed up and sent home that same night without a care. The others two were stupid reasons in his eyes but none the less he was gone and always the one that felt outcasted.

Chapter Four

It wasn’t until he gotten enrolled to a private school closer to home that he rebelled further. Aron met Enzo who he fell in love with. Enzo was the guy that introduced him to more of the sex, drugs, and party life. Something that Aron grew too love, but him and Enzo weren’t meant to last long when he caught Enzo in bed with someone else at a party one night. That happened to be the night that Enzo and him got into getting in to a fight and resulted to the drugs they normally took. With him being due home, he left the party early only to find out the next day that his first love oded. It hurt him. Aron never understood how it happened, but he was angry with the other and continued to party and do drugs to subside his feelings and the aches in his chest. He had just wanted to be loved and part of him blamed himself.

I’ll touch on your comments about the dub and the Spanish language in a moment. First though

I ’m gonna be real with you, I don’t think you know what death of the author is. Neil Gaiman’s variety of the dead author principal is that once canon ends, the story belongs to those that consume and engage with it. That’s... also literally the theme of supernaturals final season. Anyway I really recommend you read up on death of the author and Neil Gaiman’s takes on fanon. It’s a fun way to consume your media, and in the end that’s what I’m here for.

I don’t care what Misha says, and I don’t care what Jensen says! I think they are both queer because I have eyes and watched the show. I think it’s a lovely narrative that is supported by canon, and it’s fine if you disagree with that

On your last sentence there... lol. It’s a common joke in queer circles that gays can’t sit properly, specifically bisexuals. Same thing with the clothing, it’s a SUPER common joke for example that lesbians wear flannel. Maybe you need to go outside and talk to some normal, non-incest shipping queer people. But what do I know!

And finally... ‘the Spanish dub isnt canon’

I am literally cuban. My first language is SPANISH. my entire household speaks Spanish, and my family past 1st cousins don’t speak any English. My Boricua cousins have watched supernatural in full for years, and they watch it in Spanish. Do you think America is the center of the universe? Do you think our media is somehow less than yours, that our interpretations of English language media isn’t valid? What, do you think we are idiots who don’t know how to analyze literature and media? Do you think the people who work at Telemundo, people employed as dubbers and translators, you think they do a worse job than the American crew?

Why, because they aren’t American or don’t speak English? ‘Te amo’ said to a non family member is, in 99% of any instance, ROMANTIC. it’s something you say to your spouse in serious situations like weddings!! Even MARRIED people don’t normally say te amo, everyone uses te quiero unless it is very serious or romantic in context.

All of my family who are Spanish language, they heard dean say ‘y a yo ti, cas’ and think that they were in romantic love. Sorry dude! The United States might be the center of your universe, but Latin America is HUGE. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the WORLD. In fact, more people speak Spanish than English. Sorry that you seem to hate gay characters SO MUCH you have to say an entire language somehow isn’t valid to consume media in!

Dean Jealous and his contra-macho cool friend reaction

Oh yes, I'm gonna talk about that scene. I saw so many memes because Dean's dimples of discontent were loud. So get this...

Dean's face here can't be taken by other thing than JEALOUSY, he is not amused with that girl throwing heart eyes to Cas. And he shows his dimples of discontent. Not amused at all. So, he post-reaction to this, with his mom on the table and that tough hunter too, he does what society waits for a friend to do when a girl is showing signs of flirtation to one of his friends...

But he overreacts and says a couple of silly things. One of them, Sam won't let go easily.

This is the lie, because Dean doesn't want to teach Cas to conquer women. But he has to pretend he does. Because he wants to show the supportive friend he is. 'We've been looking for teachable moments' like 'We?' Sam and him? Sammy doesn't look as if he was waiting for this moment, besides, he knows what Dean feels for Cas, so... Dean is almost reaching the ridiculous line in here. Trying so hard to sound one thing, he is not.

SAM: The internet here sucks. I downloaded all the bunker’s files to a new archive, but we’re not getting any signal, so I’m j–

DEAN: [makes snoring noises and pretends to sleep] Nobody cares. Cas, here’s the thing you need to know about waitresses, okay? They get hit on all day long, so you gotta bring your A game. But, upside? [clicks tongue] They always smell like food.

WALLY: [nodding along with Dean, then pointing at him] They always smell like food.

First: Sam immediately changed the subject dragging them to the case and a difficulty he is having to get more info, and Dean! Dean just cut him off! He just can't let a waitress hitting on Cas' alone! Because is VERY IMPORTANT to him, to pretend he is helping him, because he is the waitress experienced friend, and try to low Castiel's expections into venture to do that!

Because... He says 'They always smell like food!" As if that were something sexy!

And Wally is just affirming that premise, and then Sam... Because he was interrupted by his brother's fake show, and because he knows what's the behind the scenes, he engages revengeful ...

SAM: Is that really an upside? They smell like food?

MARY: Okay– okay...

DEAN: Right? It’s great.

SAM: Why would you want them to smell like food?

Dean can't lie to Sam, because Sam knows the truth, he knows Dean is trying to kill every interest Castiel could ever have in hook up with any waitress in the world. Because he is jealous! And I believe Mary noticed that too, and just scolded their boys. Hehehe.

Okay, leaving to a side that his face is out of control, because he really thinks Cas is devastating handsome, he keeps with the cool friend that helps his friend, and the only one believing that story in that table is Wally, because he didn't live the Destiel drama. Dean is pretending like a good, because Wally is there. But Sam know, Mary knows, and even Cas knows.

Dean is like 'I helped you, buddy, did you like that? I'm a cool friend.' and Cas is like 'Do you really want me to date this female, Dean?' just because the poor guy put so many effort on that. Geez. Dean is a mess... Heheheh.

I Love You

I will try to focus the meta in the 'I love you' scene, because before that, we have a very distressed Dean Winchester trying to save his angel. Dean is nervous, and in denying. Because his head can't process the fact of loosing Castiel for ever. He can't handle that lost, that's why he denies it.

Now, let's go to the famous scene. Did Cas said I Love You to Dean?

If you rewatch the scene, previous to this confession, Castiel is looking at Dean straight in the eyes, then he drops his gaze and says these words, with a hint of shame.

But Dean's reaction can only been explained as someone who's hearing his best friend saying goodbye and giving up. And also, because in english language, this I LOVE YOU, could be sayed to a singular person of more than one. So, Dean thinks this I Love You was for them (Dean, Sam and Mary) that's why that face, is a face that says : ' Come one man, don't say it, you won't die, this is not the goodbye.'

I know a lot of people thinks Dean's reaction is because he wasn't prepared to receive a love confession, but I don't really think that. He is not prepared to say it. And in this take, he thinks this goodbye confession if for all the Winchesters in that room. Why do I think this? Because his reaction is very different when he sees Cas saying this to Sam and Mary.

Cas averts his eyes to Sam and Mary and Dean's face is of realization here.

He realizes the first I LOVE YOU was for him.

Why would Cas make that difference? Because the meaning are different. Even when he previously confess they are his family, he chooses to look at Dean first a confess one exclusive I love you for him.

Is platonic? Is romantic?

I truly believe is romantic, because there was shame in Cas' face, and he dropped his eyes before saying it. And I think Dean knew this deep inside.

But it could be taken otherwise, that's why it stays like a grey zone between them.

When Crowley comes and saves Castiel, Dean's face of relief is priceless, and there's this little finger touch Cas made over Dean's hand before left his hand go. They were close to be separated, what they don't know is, this is a foreshadow of Castiel's real death at the endo of the season, but also, Dean saying: "Let's go home" is foreshadowing too his own words in episode 13x06, when Castiel comes back to him.

To Conclude:

Episode 12x12 has Jealous!Dean, inside a hilarious scene, but it also has a sad foreshadow of Castiel's death.

Cas said confessed his love for the Winchesters as a family, but it was a special and exclusive confession he made to Dean, because the hint of shame and the dropped gaze, it meant more than just a platonic confession.

Dean's reaction is different to the second confession, because he realizes the first one was just for him.

I can actually empathize with Sam here...As whiny and bitchy as he is, he has his reasons to be this way. I guess if I were in his shoes, I’d be less of a Dean and more of a Sam, too. We deal with our losses quite similarly.

Ah, the brotherly bonding moments like these little talks make the show worth it. It’s so heartwarming.
