Aid Request

I am not used to making such posts, and I debated making it, in the first place... But I need help.

I have been laid off work on Dec 31st, 2023, and I wouldn't have been paid enough to pay what I need to, anyway.

I am in what I hope to be my last year of university. I need to take 2 exams and write my thesis. Unfortunately, I'm also over the usual years, which means I didn't get the state aid to pay less on the University Fees. The delay has been caused both my decaying mental health because of my family, that I live with, and other health issues I suffered in the past 2 years.

I wanted to graduate in March (which means not paying the fees), but my thesis professor said it will probably not be possible. This is due to her not answering my many e-mails about the thesis, so much that I had to ask the Uni tutor for help communicating with her... It's a whole damn saga.

Since dropping out isn't an option (I would want to, but I am not allowed to by said family, who think it would be shameful to drop out now and that people would talk, and that it's my fault for being lazy and stupid - I live with them until October, when I'm moving in with @michaelmilligan, and no, they don't have money to help me out), I need to ask for help covering the Fees.

One fee is already overdue, it should have been paid Dec 19, 2023, but I still hoped to graduate in March. It amounts to €1275 and I will also have to pay a fee over it as well, so it's more than that but I'm not sure how much.

The second fee is also €1275, and must be paid by March 15, 2024.

I can show both on my uni website if requested.

My next goal is to graduate by July.

All this said, I need help covering all of this at least...

My thoughts on: The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

This book was a re-read for me. I buddy-read it with @michaelmilligan, who had never read it before so that I could try to get back into reading. I managed to finish it, and it gives me confidence that I can go back to reading regularly again! Perhaps not as many books as I used to before, but still, reading! Golden Compass is truly a classic for me, and I love the world created by Philip Pullman. The characters also also extremely complex and interesting, and I found myself crying or being affected by the story... Even while at work, ops. Lyra is clearly a kid, but very smart, and she tries to do the right thing. The other characters are complex, just like she is, and it's definitely a plus for me when I read a book. I hope to re-read the second book in the series soon :)

Please consider for me: Dean Winchester, 45 years old, with Jensen's Soldier Boy hair, and he's wearing reading glasses (boxy with thick frames like the ones he wore in s12ep15 Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell), sitting in the library of the bunker, wearing sweatpants and his robe, reading (personally I'd want him to be reading Beast Master by Andre Norton but pick ur fave book or genre <3), and then Cas walks in behind him and leans down to kiss his head and dean tilts his head back and gives Cas a soft smile and says 'hey, angel' and Jack pops up and says 'hey, dad, pops' and Dean reaches out to ruffle his hair and says 'hey, kiddo' and later, Dean is in the kitchen cooking dinner for his family (including Sam and Eileen, Claire and Kaia, Jody and Donna, Alex, and Patience, who are all coming over to visit and stay a couple of days) (may or may not be for Dean's birthday, you decide), and he's humming softly to the music he has playing quietly, he's swaying, dressed in worn jeans and a soft band tee and wearing his little 'kiss the cook' apron, and then they're all sat around the table in the war room, laughing and smiling and chatting and Dean's face is soft and his eyes are wrinkled at the corners and his dimples are showing and he's watching his family be happy, eating food he made for them, there's no looming apocalypse or encroaching threat waiting for them on the horizon, and for the first time, he isn't bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders and he's happy and soft and domestic with the love of his life, their adoptive son, sort-of-adoptive daughter and her girlfriend, his brother and his brother's partner, their surrogate lesbian moms and said moms' two adoptive daughters.
