If this is what the 'artist' is up to, I'm usually disgusted or see redundant, patriarchal hollowness

it's also detectable -- the person thinks they have something to say, but it's really mini-Trump sort of having a tantrum and saying that all who cross mini-Trump will be killed and the reich will rise again, that sort of thing.

are there valid reasons for all these people to fear a leftist ideology? Well, sure i mean there's spoiled twits who cancel anything they don't understand. I don't really fear it though. There's all sorts of things you 'can't say' and always have been, and often for good reasons. As a person who isn't fundamentally narcissistic, it might piss me off that some idiot tries to shut me up or says I'm crazy or whatever, but that doesn't mean the issue gets put up as #1 on my sociopolitical concerns. what's a cancelled story compared to climate change or having to put up with President DeAnus and hundreds of millions of twits who find him to be my superior?

Waverley Borough Council has six parks flying Green Flags

Blackheath Common, Broadwater Park in Farncombe, Farnham Park, Frensham Great Pond and Common and the Lammas Lands and Phillips Memorial Park in Godalming, are among a record-breaking 1,797 UK parks and green spaces that received a prestigious Green Flag Award – the mark of a quality park or green space.

This international award, now into its third decade, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities. Farnham Park, which has received the award for the fifth time, is a medieval deer park within walking distance of the town centre. It includes an adventure playground, newly fitted in 2015, a toddlers play area, a café, toilets, and a trim trail, all within a landscape of rolling grassland and beautiful veteran trees.

Broadwater Park has retained the award for a third year. The park can be found next to Godalming Leisure Centre and includes a large lake, play area, picnic area, football and cricket pitches and much more to explore with the family.

It is the second year in a row that Frensham Great Pond and Common has kept the title. Frensham is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is home to a range of wildlife including the Dartford Warbler and the Natterjack Toad. The common is made up of a large area of heathland and has a beach next to the Great Pond. There is also parking on site, accessible toilets and a café.

Also achieving the award for the second time is the Phillips Memorial Park. The park has benefitted from a restoration and enhancement project over the past five years, thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The site is home to the Phillips Memorial Cloister, an Arts and Crafts Grade II listed building, a children’s play area, skate park, bandstand, War Memorial and a beautiful riverside walk.

Adjacent to the park is first-time Green Flag Award winner, the Lammas Lands. They are a series of flood meadows, with beautiful views alongside the River Wey, between Godalming and Farncombe.

Another first-time winner is Blackheath Common. With stunning views of mauve flowering heathland, the common is a fabulous place to go to relax, watch wildlife and let life pass you by. Councillor Kevin Deanus, Portfolio Holder for Community Services, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive six Green Flag Awards. We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining all our parks to such a high standard.

“We could not do the work without our fantastic volunteers, led by our brilliant team of rangers – they all do an amazing job.”

International Green Flag Award scheme manager Paul Todd said: “We are delighted to be celebrating another record-breaking year for the Green Flag Award scheme.

“Each flag is a celebration of the thousands of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the high standards demanded by the Green Flag Award. The success of the scheme, especially in these challenging times, demonstrates just how much parks matter to people.”
