Some trivia about The Masked Decepticon

On Cybertron, during the Golden Age, it is forbidden for cross frame conjunx. This is because the resulting newspark will have traits of both parents, and as such they can't be sorted into any basic jobs.

Ulchtar had a sparktwin. Their sire was a male Seeker who passed away after openly called out the unfairness of the Senate. Their carrier, Cryak, raised them until they reached maturity.

Their only regret was never calling Cryak their carrier before she passed away.

Orion Pax was found on the edge of Kaon by Alpha Trion. It is still unknown who is his real creators are, if he even has one.

Ulchtar and Arcee knew each other before the war. Ulchtar was a volunteer to assist Arcee during lessons with sparklings.

Soundwave lived in the streets after punching an Elite Guard. The reason is because the guard tried to offline a Cassetticon (Ravage) since he failed to do his job.

Soundwave kicked Shockwave in between his pedes when they first met. Everybody involved still remember that event.

The medic and the wrecker was two of Ulchtar's friends. They are also one of the mechs involved in the founding of the Decepticons. However, after Orion's passing Ulchtar sent them away after finding out the medic was carrying.

The former Autobot surgeon has some strange... Hobbies, to say the least. Due to crossing multiple boundaries that she said in the name of the Decepticons, Orion banished her to Archa-7. She continued her job, and created those techno-organic spiders. She wants to become closer to them.

After the war, Skywarp and Thundercracker are part of the rescue and assist team. Starscream doesn't let them join the front lines. He had enough of losing his family.

Cryak's daughter never knew what happened to her brother. She never knew why he left, but hoped he'd come back one day.

Orion Pax loves racing at Velocitron. He won the Cyber Bike at a competition.

Everybot who had ever ride with Orion are traumatized. They never want to ride or drive a bike ever again.

Terminus taught Megatronus how to read. If he was still online, he'd treat Orion like another son.

Yoketron, Dion, Ratchet and Orion knew each other. However, after Orion's passing the others went their separate ways.

Starscream doesn't like to celebrate his spark day for some reason.

Shockwave wasn't empurata'd by the Autobots, but by a Decepticon gone rogue. He was lucky the others come, or else she'd turn him into a shell of his former self.

earthspark official guidebook says the final battle took place 15 years ago (the Battle of the Bay, right?) and that Dorothy and Megatron first met. She was helping wounded Decepticons and Megatron was impressed with her. Then it says in the same battle, Dorothy lost her leg and Megatron took her to Optimus for treatment. Does that mean.......

Megatron was captured himself to save Dorothy????

That's why that battle was the "final" battle, because the decepticon leader was taken prisoner so war was oficially over?????

(the Space Bridge Battle was definitly after that.......omg...)

.....if so, it makes sense Dot doesn't like Optimus that much, she wouldn't be happy about he taking advantage of the favor Megatron gave her in such a way – even though he had to do.

She was likely unconscious when she was injured, Megatron had no choice because he didn't know how to help human.

and Optimus probably didn't tell her Megatron saved her life while she was recovering. He had to suspect Megatron's true intentions and couldn't let her get caught up in it, but I can also see Dorothy was very upset when she found out.

It would have taken no time at all for her to get to Megatron's cell in her wheelchair while he was trying to come up with a rational explanation for why he saved a human soldier and was captured.

Sorry for being negative, I’m just a bit disappointed that after looking through the Earthspark Optimus tags on and off on different occasions weeks apart, it seems like the only thing the fandom has to say about ES Optimus is finger snaps and dad jokes. :/ (And also a handful of people already trying to frame him as a bad person lmao)

Watch for it, when more episodes of Earthspark come out and a conflict with GHOST inevitably arises, people are going to be raging at Optimus for being “stupid” or “self-righteous” or “blind” for working with GHOST and start calling Megatron and/or the Decepticons right about everything because they spent so long focusing on “haha funny dad Optimus” that they forgot about the other parts of Optimus’ character like... idk, not wanting to colonize planets? Not wanting to start wars with entire species that didn’t want to be involved in the war in the first place? Being willing to make compromises even at risk to himself and his own because he wants to treat everyone fairly?

Idk I guess I’m just a bit salty because it genuinely seems like all this fandom wants is “funny dad Optimus” and nothing else. Like you will give them funny dad Optimus who’s ALSO complex and morally gray but people will only ever talk about the former part. And then when Optimus inevitably makes a mistake and bad things happen, people are probably going to treat him as if he’s stupid or an asshole when he ends up not being the Perfect Unproblematic Fave that people seemingly want him to be.

So... so many mecha are going to be pissed about Silverlight's existence and how it ended the war. That something so... domestic ended it.

The Masked Decepticon

Chapter 11: Double Agent

"Agent Blurr?"

"Yes, sir?"

"I have a mission for you. Ultra Magnus wants you to go to Earth and find as much prove of the Decepticons as possible. However, don't reveal yourself to the Autobot team there."

"Findproveandstayoutofsight- got it!"

"And, Blurr?"

"Yes?"

"Come back safe, alright?" say the mech siting behind the desk. Blurr smiled and nodded, before disappearing to do his mission.

Longarm stared at the empty doorway and ex-vented. As much as he loves the blue speedster... He, too have a mission to complete.

Shockwave really wished that he doesn't need to offline somebot he likes.

On Earth, Blurr is driving around the streets. He was driving slowly, as the streets are still slippery from the sudden winter a few days ago. He was ready to head back to recharge for the night, when a flashy red car drove past him.

"Wha-? Now, that's rude!"

As much of a spy Blurr is, the code to race and win is too deeply encrypted in his Spark. And so, when faced with a challenge of speed he will accept.

The blue spy manages to reach the other car. In front of them is a narrow tunnel that can only fit one vehicle. And Blurr know that whoever reaches it first wins. His engines roar as he manages to cut the car and enter the tunnel first.

"Hah! I win! Suck it- whoa, what the heck!!?"

The car veered to the right, and uses the tunnel's curved walls to cut right in front of Blurr. And so, Blurr lost to the strange red car.

The car sharply turned to a corner, and Blurr chased after it. However, he came to a dead end. The road ends with a wire gate, still intact, with some wooden crates behind it.

With no one in sight, Blurr transformed back into his Cybertronian form and looks around in confusion. How did that car dissappear?

The spy shivered at the thought of a haunted car. He looks at the wire gate and turned back, "Alright... You win... Whoever you are."

He transforms back into vehicle form and drove off, not noticing a pair of green optics watching the speedster as he leaves.

"... I need to tell Bossbot,"

"An Autobot on Earth?" Optimus asked that morning.

Bumblebee nods his, recalling the events of last night. Blitzwing and Lugnut are also there, as per usual, along with Starscream and Skyfire.

"I've been patrolling as Stinger, when I saw a blue car. I cut him, but he chase me and then we raced. I turned left and then I heard a transformation sound and saw that it was an Autobot!"

"I don't understand. What's an Autobot doing here on Earth? Does Ultra Magnus know about it?" Prowl asked as he tried to pry the remote control from Blitzwing's grip.

"Maybe a spy. He's probably here under the Ultra Magnus' orders to find out about Decepticon activity," Starscream guessed.

CRASH!

Everyone whipped their helms towards the noise and saw Blitzwing on his back, Random face laughing as Prowl is trapped underneath his massive figure, "HAHAHA! Now you're both trapped!"

"Blitzwing, get off of me. You're heavy!"

Optimus sighed, and looks at the photo. Since Lugnut, Blitzwing and Starscream had been on their side (or was it them whose on the Decepticon's side?), there hadn't been much problems except for some human criminals, Powell and Masterson, the team are still trying to find where Megatron and Prof Sumdac whereabouts. Furthermore, they also gained another ally, Skyfire, who is also Starscream's sparkmate who was trapped in ice 2 million years ago.

Optimus was relieved that Skyfire is adjusting well to his new situation, even excited to learn more about Earth and its cultures. However, he was very disturbed when he found out about the war and Starscream being in it. As a result, Skyfire is never far from Starscream, always nearby as if scared he'll be taken away.

The Prime also told Skyfire about his whole plan, and identity. After Ratchet almost had a spark attack, the shuttle was surprisingly cooperative enough to go on with the plan.

"Let's search for this Autobot spy tonight. I have some plans to deal with them," Optimus looks at Bumblebee and Prowl, "Bumblebee, Prowl, you're with me. Lugnut, Blitzwing and Starscream, stay away from the city for the time being. There's a mine shaft nearby you can use as base,"

"Alright!" cheered Bumblebee.

When Bumblebee activate his disguise, his yellow paint changes into red, and he now has a permanent mask with green optics. Stinger activates his weapon, which is now also green.

Optimus cleared his throat, "Tonight, Bumblebee. Not right now. Turn back,"

Stinger chuckled sheepishly. He deactivates his disguise and turn back into Bumblebee.

Back at Cybertron, Longarm is trying to find out about Dark Convoy. But despite his best efforts in diving deep inside the Autobots' files, he found nothing.

There was no date of onlining, no records or proof whatsoever that Dark Convoy had ever existed. It was as if he suddenly popped out of nowhere and beaten Optimus Prime for the place as the leader of the Decepticons.

But then, that designation itself might be fake. When he heard the announcement a couple weeks ago, Longarm couldn't help but felt as if he'd heard it before. A trip down a memory lane finally gave him the results he wanted, but not expected.

'Dark Convoy' was a character in one of Megatron's old stories. A story so old, it was written when the Decepticons didn't even exist, when Megatron could still call himself Megatronus... When Orion Pax was still online and well.

It was a story of a mech born in Autobot society, but fought against what he was born to believe when he see the suffering that bots had to go through.

Longarm felt silly for thinking that a fictional character could even exists in the real world, but his processor was still thinking of one thing. It just didn't add up.

'Dark Convoy' was the one and only story that Megatron had never published. It had never been made into a copy, so there are only one of it in existence. The warlord used to publish his work under anonymous designation, as he would get in trouble if a low-class frame were to be found out learned to read.

The only ones who knew of its existence are a select few Decepticons. So either whoever the mech was stumbled upon a copy of it, or it is just a mere coincidence. It's most probably be the latter of the two.

Dark Convoy parked himself on the empty parking lot. He could see a blue sports car from his side mirror. He had some plans for the spy, but they needed to them first.

Unfortunately, it took Convoy an embarrassingly amount of time to realise that the spy already knew. After all, he did have the Decepticon logo plastered on the side of his altmode.

The spy drove off in a hurry, and Convoy contacted Stinger and Barricade, "He's on the move, follow him!"

Stinger chase after the spy, while Barricade was trailing behind from the rooftops, getting ready to throw his blades and puncture the spy's tire when told.

After a couple minutes of a game of cat and mouse, Convoy and Stinger had managed to trap the spy. Barricade throws his blades towards spy's tires, and the blue car swerves around before transforming into his robot mode.

Stinger puts a stasis cuff on Blurr's servos, while Barricade covered the speedster's optics with a piece of cloth, "Hey! Let go off me! This is kidnapping, you know!"

"Yeah, yeah. We know. Now stop moving," say Stinger. Never in his online period does he ever expected that Optimus' plan for the spy was a straight up kidnapping.

Blurr flinched when he felt the light hitting his optics. He resetted it a few times, trying to adjust to the sudden brightness and saw Optimus. Oh, first day and he had been found.

"Are you alright?"

"Oh, I'm fine. Where am I?"

"You're at our base. And we have some questions for you, Blurr,"

The blue mech's optics widened, "Wha- how didyouknowmyname!?"

"We got some inside info. Apparently, Ultra Magnus sent you here to watch for Decepticon activities, correct?"

"How did you know that? That was top-secret - Urk!" the mech quickly shut his intake, but the damage was done.

"Is there anything else?"

Blurr waited for a moment and shook his helm, "That's all. It's supposed to be an undercover mission, but... I guess I failed,"

Optimus nodded, "Good. Now, Blurr, I have something that I need to tell you. And as an Autobot, I'm hoping you can keep this a secret,"

The blue mech furrowed an optic ridge, confused.

Suddenly, he could hear the sound of transformation. But not the standard one. Instead of going from robot mode to altmode, Optimus transformed into a large Decepticon with black paintjob.

Optimus was a Decepticon.

"WhatinthenameofPrimus'holyearth!!?" Blurr yelled.

"Alright, calm down. I'm going to explain everything to you," said Convoy. Blurr could only gulped. He had been captured by a Decepticon first day on his mission. Way to go, Blurr.

"When I defeated Megatron 50 years ago, I was made their leader. I want to avoid war, but I know that if my status as the Decepticon's new lead the High Council might use me to gain an upper hand, or challenge me in combat to gain the title," Convoy started.

"Wait. So Optimus and Dark Convoy are one and the same?"

"Yes. I want to avoid war, but at the same time I saw the suffering of other bots. Far-off colonies that the Autobots had abandoned, bots who doesn't fit the Autobots' standards of civillian frames, many forget that warframes and Decepticons are Cybertronians, too,"

Convoy knelt, looking at Blurr at eye level, "I want to reform the Decepticons, back to the way they were. But I can't do it if the Elite Guards are after me. Megatron himself is hard to deal with,"

Blurr tried to wrap his processor around what Convoy had said. It's true, many of the High Council has strict rules of what can or can't be done. However, there are bots who are simply sparked outside of the standard laws. Like himself.

"... No, I'm not going to defect,"

"... Blurr. I'm not going to ask you to defect. I'm asking you not to give out any info that might put my teammates' lives in danger,"

"Oh... That, I can do, I guess,"

Convoy smiled under his mask, "Good. Oh, let me take those off,"

Blurr shook his servos, it was starting to get numb after a while.

"You know, I half expected you to run after I let you go," said Convoy.

"I don't think you're a bad guy. Say, how did you do all of that transforming thing anyway?"

"Well, it's mostly modes. Okay, pay attention to these parts," say Convoy. He then transform back into Optimus, "Alright, so as you can see bots with disguise mods have lines that doesn't correspond to their altmodes. It's hard to see, but if you pay attention close enough, you can see the real colours inside the seams,"

"Huh. That'll come in handy," say Blurr.

The next day, Blurr asked Optimus if he can also has disguide mods. He thought about Optimus' words, and decided to help him out to prevent an upcoming war.

"You need a name for your Decepticon disguise," say Bumblebee.

"Can I be callehed Zippy!?" Blurr asked a little too excitedly.

Bumblebee gave the intelligence agent a blank stare before shrugging, "Eh, why not?"

"I'm going back to Cybertron later. I'll tell you if I got anything about the Decepticon spy," say Blurr to Optimus as he exited the factory.

A few weeks later, Blurr went back to Cybertron for his monthly report to Ultra Magnus. Along his way, he saw Longarm in the corridors, "Longarm!"

"Oh, Blurr. Here for your report?"

"Yeah. It's going very well, although I was almost caught," he lied. He looks at Longarm, and saw some odd seams that shouldn't be there. He can also see some purple paint in it.

Oh.

Oh, slag.

"Anyway, gotta go! I'll call you later, Longarm!" with that, the blue mech ran off. Longarm could only reset his optics in confusion. Was Blurr really that busy on Earth?

Meanwhile, Blurr is freaking out as he internally screamed, 'I'M IN LOVE WITH A DECEPTICON!!? … Wait. I guess I …am one? Slag, I'm not sure how I should feel about this,'

Hullo. I am amongst the living.

This little idea kept nagging at me, so here we are: TFP where Op goes ✨FERAL✨

So y’know that whole shtick about “they had a secret relationship all along?” Well this is sort of like that, basically— yes, Megs and Op have had a secret relationship ever since the Orion arc. Megs kept in contact because he missed Optimus SO MUCH. And the war has been going on for so long. Also they can fix Cybertron together. But MOSTLY Megs missed Optimus.

Things go along, now they’re definitely considering peace time and even drafting a treaty to share with their respective factions.

But a little bump in the road comes in the form of someone that Megs DID NOT expect to see— MegaZarak. And instead of Zarak heavily injures Optimus or tortures him, like a previous idea I’ve had before— I’ve thought of something a little more heart wrenching. Shit goes down right when Prime and Megs are about to establish peace: Zarak beats out Megs from the title as leader of the Decepticons. He retreats, and escapes via ground ridge thanks to Optimus and the crew. Knockout, BreakDown, SW, and DreadWing follow after him, ever the loyal soldiers (and they also dont want to deal with Zarak). But Optimus gets nabbed just before he jumps through the ground bridge, and he’s now a prisoner to Zarak. So to fuck with Megs even more, Zarak uses the Botched Synthetic Energon to make Op go FERAL.

Like he’s a literal beast on a leash, fangs and all— and Megs, when staging a rescue operation, is torn because he doesnt want to hurt Op, but he has no choice because OP IS FERAL AND HE WILL LITERALLY GET HIS FACE RIPPED OFF. Optimus’ optics are the striking green just like when Ratchet messed around with it earlier on in the series. (Don’t do drugs kids)

He’s got Optimus pinned and he’s trying disparately to pierce through the feral veil that’s blinding the Prime. And there’s a small, tiny moment where Optimus calms down, and his optics flash blue. He tries to speak but his words are staticky and jumbled. Megs reaches out a soothing hand over Op’s face, but unfortunately the touching moment is short lived when Optimus’ optics flash green again, and he goes back to fighting like a rabid animal.

Megs has no choice to knock Optimus out and take him to the wreckage of the Harbinger where both bots and cons have established a new base since the one is Jasper got blown to bits. So Megs is looking through the cell door of the brig, watching as a feral Op is chained to a wall, snarling, growling, and trying to rid himself of his bindings. Ratchet establishes that it’ll probably take days, maybe WEEKS to flush the botched synthetic energon from Prime’s frame. Megs, ever the stubborn mech, refuses to give up on his Prime— so he sits, and waits, and assists where he can in order to bring his Prime back to himself.

So yeah, an idea where Optimus is pretty much having to be treated like a wild beast the whole time until they can get the botched synth energon out of him.
