With all of the hate that's been going around the kawaii community especially from TikTok people need to remember that harajuku is for anyone. Any race can dress kawaii not just east Asians. You can be any age and like kawaii things and thing's that are childish and liking those things do not make you a pedophile (unfortunately I've seen people being called this because they like cute stuff) you can be plus sized and you are just as kawaii as anyone else. You can be any gender any skin tone and disabled and you are still kawaii. This fashion should always feel open to anybody
I've been very into collecting monster high dolls lately, and I've repainted a few of them!!
I have learned so much from the first one (G3 gyaru lagoona) that I already kind of want to redo her lol. For G3 Lagoona I was inspired by manba/yamanba gyaru, a modern take on the substyle still with classic beachy motives, and I wanted to make her face look more fish-like than her factory face paint.
For G1 Lagoona I wanted to focus more on the bold black eyeliner and she is more mode gyaru inspired, with clothes from a Toralei fashion pack ^^
and for Draculaura, I just wanted to further emphasize the lolita style she's wearing in this version (which is one of my favorite dolls of hers by the way :] )
I feel like alt fashion has become so much about buying things. What happened to thrift shopping and diy's. A lot of my j fashion inspired clothes have been thrifted or diy, everything now is about over consuming or these big brands.

15 Tokyo Street Styles w/ Loose Socks, A Winged Demon, Sulley Kawaii, Pokemon, Y2K & Neo Decora
Fifteen street styles we shot last Sunday in Harajuku. The streets of Harajuku are crowded again, there are lots of fashion and art events, and so many Harajuku fashion kids that we don't have time to snap everyone we want to snap most weekends. Special thanks to Harajuku kawaii icon Haruka Kurebayashi for appearing in this video. Everyone is tagged on Instagram.
Wearing maximalist fashion is so funny because like… I’ll be looking at an outfit I’m planning and go “hmm… It’s missing something. Several things, actually.”
