The whole effort of the mystic has always been to become such that there is no part left in his soul to say 'I'. --Simone Weil, "Human Personality"

Decreation is an undoing of the creature in us – the creature enclosed in self and defined by self. But to undo self one must move through self, to the very inside of its definition.

Each of them undergoes there an experience of decreation, or so she tells us. But the telling remains a bit of a wonder. Decreation is an undoing of the creature in us—that creature enclosed in self and defined by self. But to undo self one must move through self, to the very inside of its definition. We have nowhere else to start.

Immortality is a death sentence. Life is a chance for redemption but an eternity of it is exile.

Quote
People kissing stop to sigh then kiss again. Doctors sigh into wounds and the bloodstream is changed forever. Flowers sigh and two noon bees float backwards. Is it doubt. Is it disappointment. The world didn’t owe me anything.

Can I ask how it was - how it Felt seeing Tamino in the flesh? 😔🥹 (fully believe it’s like seeing an angel or maybe a reincarnation of a god)
literally my jaw was on the floor the whole time. his voice is unbelievable and he’s so beautiful but also SO REAL! like he had acne he had slightly visible stubble he had a concerned line between his brows when he sang. he honestly seems very shy + funny + sweet. it took him a few songs to warm up and start joking with the audience but when he did he was very funny. he doesn’t make a lot of eye contact with the crowd, sings with his eyes shut or looking up over the crowd. i get the impression that he’s a bit uncomfortable with attention. but so humble, talented, and beautiful. such an intimate show and felt so grateful to be there 🫶🏻

What is a quote? A quote (cognate with quota) is a cut, a section, a slice of someone's orange. You suck the slice, toss the rind, skate away.
