Few months ago I found another Deus Ex inspired game (besides Core Decay)

It's still in the making but the devs plan on releasing it next year :)

Deep State perfectly replicates the style of Deus Ex while Core Decay sort of goes for a more stylized look (which is pretty neat!! It's a balance between modern and retro)

Although I have to say, the demo is quite buggy.. I'll let it pass because it isn't SO buggy to the point it's not playable, but it's the annoying little things sort of bugs y'know? Like sometimes when I restart from a checkpoint it adds items that I haven't gotten when I was at that checkpoint (Just the icon however, not the item entirely)

I hope we can manually save in the finished product because as cool as the "Checkpoint Device" is, I find it quite tedious for the fact that you HAVE to search for it or else you can't save..

My suggestion is to just make it a little more abundant or just add an option to be able to manually save (like in Anachronox where you can choose to save without timeminders)

Overall, it's pretty good! It has that similar Deus Ex vibe that I've been aching for (hell, even the aiming too but it's more modernized here)

Is the Dream World Just the Dream World?

I hope you do not think that phones, computers, and consoles are the only things that update. The subconscious is a part of another realm, but due to the influence of movies and the conscious world your judgement might be clouded regarding this topic. Therefore, it is time to update your program A.K.A. your mind.

Do not take everything literal. One of your many tasks on this mischievous yet charitable planet is to take mental notes— judgement. You do it all of the time because it is in your nature to judge, but wait! I am not talking about distasteful labeling and if you thought I were then its time to upgrade your download. I am simply referring to the overall definition of judgement, the ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions (Oxford Languages).

This intriguing dream world brings things to our attention without limitations which confuses our perception of reality. In our physical world, we are used to things that "make sense" but that is not always the case in the subconscious world. Similar to our physical realm, our dreams tell us premonitions and hidden emotions that are most times uncontrollable, yet we can "control" our daydreaming which brings me to this conclusion. Just because you do not connect yourself to a machine like in Avatar or Assassins Creed, does not mean that you are not connecting yourself to another realm when you go to sleep or travel through the subconscious.

I know. I know because I have to face these issues every single day of my life. I know because people like you always remind me of these matters. I know because that’s the main reason I don’t own mirrors and don’t have any pictures of myself in my gallery. I know because I always try to hide my body with baggy clothes and my face with a surgical mask. I know because I’m the reason I go to work every day is because I’m saving up money for surgeries. I know because I got bullied for being myself in public. I know because people like to make fun of my appearance. I know because that’s why I cry myself to sleep. I know because the voice in my head won’t stop taunting me every single second of the day. I know because the scars don’t forget to remind me whenever I start to feel a different emotion other than disgust, sadness, or pity for myself. I know because I’m constantly hungry even though my fridge is fully stocked.

I know because apparently society is perfect and has its own standards which must be reached - or else you’ll be an outcast.

I know because I am an outcast myself.

At first, I’d always feel that stabbing sensation in my chest, but now I feel numb. Numb from all the pain I’ve had to endure for other people’s sake. Pain that I would often blame myself for because I felt guilty for accusing others of putting me in this agony.

Then I’d pity myself because no one would help me out of my misery. I’d pity myself for feeling this way and having nobody but myself as my only companion. I’m the only person I have left but even that isn’t enough.

Sometimes the vicious voice in my head would be too loud and the only way to silence it would leave scars on my body for me to remember. So, whenever I’d feel like a normal person, they’d show me the exact opposite. They prove me just how broken I am. Thanks to them I never get my hopes.

I even stopped trusting others. It could be considered as the only good thing I’ve obtained from all this mess. Due to the majority of the population being liars it’s very hard to put your trust into people who know your weaknesses and will knowingly use them against you, just to see you suffer- so that they can feel better.

I made myself smaller to make space for others who deserve it- because I didn’t. I lost my voice and nobody- surprisingly not even I- seemed to care enough to notice my vocal and physical absence. I didn’t want to witness the disgust people would feel in my presence.

I lost myself and turned into a soulless puppet who could be used by anyone as they desired.

The worst thing was I didn’t care anymore.

I’ve had my share of this messed up world and I’d rather give up on my life, dreams and hope than go through this hell for the rest of my life.

The report found that checkpoints have been opened in many countries around the world, including Canada and Ireland. The media investigation revealed that Fuzhou— a sprawling industrial and transportation hub— established informal police service stations affiliated with the Public Security Bureau (PSB) across Canada. Do not wait until the New Year to change your life!

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "life is what you make it?" If so, it is because life is based on imagination and manifestation. This is why it is common to see people change their bad habits during the new year in specific countries. If all countries do not celebrate the New Year on 1st January then why should we follow it? Does a new year even exist or is it just a way for people to stay hopeful in life?

This means that someone had the imagination about people celebrating a New Year then many people took this individual's idea and made it their own either through similar thinking or the national holiday. Someone's imagination is now a part of your reality (Marvel/DC, McDonald's, hats etc.) This also means that you can do the same thing and have control over your own imagination.

So, are you going to follow your own path or the imagination of someone else's?
