I took even more offense (is that possible?) with the cop who took a squirt of hand sanitizer. He was more concerned with a microbe on his hands than with active murder occurring feet away.

Now let it be a unarmed black man woman or child and these piggies would have terminated him/her on sight and wouldn’t care who gets traumatized even if they do the killing in front of children

And just like that this photograph should put a stop to the argument that contends that good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns.

i remember when Instagram mostly banned me from my account for an entire year after posting about police brutality and its' links to white supremacy and institutionalized violence -it was during the height of the BLM movement after George Floyd was murdered. i remember calling out ex-co-workers at the time and people on social media i was mutuals with at the time for saying 'but it's not all cops, some are good,' and my response to that, and will always be: policing systems do MORE harm than good in communities. cops get little to zero training and are allowed to bear arms and have a licences to maim, injure, and kill people (most of whom, are NOT threats). and it's beyond unacceptable. the amount of funding these fucking systems get too when it can be allocated to programs that ACTUALLY do good.

*also, a few people have noted this, but yes, I believe it appears that the cop spat on the memorial candles too. and the fact he will never be fired and told to give up his badge for doing such a heinous thing is just despicable* -and yes all cops are bad.

It makes sense that if you reduce the effectiveness of the police, crime will increase. I can only conclude that those who advocate defunding the police are either stupid or they hate black people.

Fascism is on the rise (under the guise of the 'far right' groups) all across Europe. AfD recently polled higher than 3 of the parties governing the country, even with some declines and protests against them -they continue to be fueled by white supremacist extremism and racism.

Seeing a cop LUNGE at and capture a person who isn't a threat to him is very telling of the entire institution. The ones in power who don't want to be questioned or with whom dont want to take accountability for their complicity are vile. I hope this woman can sue this cop for assault because who tf does this cop think he is??

hey you know what makes me afraid for the future? the fact that most people who become police officers from now on definitely saw all the bullshit that we tried to call out and put a stop to and they’ll still become a police officer. They’ll see the discrimination and the brutality and they’ll go ‘i’m fine with that’ and they’ll become a cop. There’s no way you go into this blind. We’re all on the internet and that’s made it impossible not to hear the rally cries. I want to believe many police officers who just wanted to serve the public and protect people. The job may be shit but I’d like to believe the people are good. Still, I can’t imagine anyone from this generation going into it for any of the right reasons. They heard us scream for justice and scream for our lives and they will be happy to ignore us.
