rough goron design for my zelda comic, struggled with it for a while bc i didnt want to make their build too similar to demise, tho thematically it fits, ended up going for a more turtle-armadillo kind of approach and a tail just feels right for them and their habit of curling into a ball

since they are even older than the ones from skysw i figured it would still be plausible if they evolved into how they later looked from this

the mogma will need a slight redesign only and parakwa will mostly stay the same as in canon bc i think their goofy look just kinda fits xD

Eos ✨ Goddess of the Dawn

Eos was the Greek goddess of the dawn, who rose each day from the east to disperse the mists of night with her light rays. She signaled the coming of Helios, her brother, to gods and mortals alike, and accompanied him on his path across the sky.

Mythology frequently represents her as abducting attractive youths - stealing them away to ravish in a distant land. Some say this is because Aphrodite cursed her with an unquenchable desire after learning that the goddess had slept with Ares.

Vulcan Deities

When I saw this post by @timcurrysteeth about Vulcan Spirituality and their deities I inmediately knew I had to draw them.

I took it as a personal project to picture each deity and, in the future, create a series of illustrations of each one of them.

These are the initial sketches of the first 10 in the list, the designs are not final but I had a lot of fun working on them and thinking the elements I would add in each one based on their descriptions.

I highly recommend you give a read to the post, it's absolutely fascinating, as well as this second part.

This is going to be a long term project since I have several deadlines for other works but I hope to be able to update you soon enough with more sketches of the remaining deities!

Wild Hunt (Divoký hon, Divoká Honba in czech) appears all across Europe's cultures at the time.  Yet each of them has their own version and visual appereance. But they have one thing in common - the Wild Hunt is not a single ghost or a creature, but a whole horde or even an army.

When AI is so prevalent everywhere nowadays that even Death starts to invest in cheap grim reaper robots /j (that keep eventually gaining sentience and becoming spiteful and lost spirits but shhhh, that's too much lore)

Inspired by the Korean folk lore of Death: 저승사자- a psychopomp deity who's job is not to judge or kill, but to simply guide newly deceased souls to the afterlife. They are traditionally depicted wearing a black (한복) hanbok with a black (갓) gat.

Galaxy the goddess of stars

Also known as the mother of stars/Lady of Light

Galaxy was the divine creator of our universe.

A grand, celestial being of unknown origin, Galaxy awoke to an empty and endless void more than 26 billion years ago. It was devoid of light, and so Galaxy, fearful of the darkness which encased her, wished for a lamp to guide her way. It came to her in the form of a star. She loved him like a son, and he loved her like a mother. Accompanied by his light – pale and flickering though it was – she overcame her fears, and she began to light more stars, each brighter and more radiant than the last. In time, the void became a universe.

As life began to appear and spread throughout the universe, and as civilisations rose and fell, Galaxy drew many admirers. She was venerated as a mother to all life, and called upon for guidance and protection, but she cared neither for their worship nor their prayers. All she wanted was to create, and that’s what she did, never staying in one place for long. Life was left to its own devices, free to worship her, to wage war over her and kill one another over her, just so long as they didn’t get in her way doing it.

The people grew tired of Galaxy’s apathy towards mortalkind. She paid them no mind. She had her starsprites, and they were all she wanted. But far across the void, something evil festered, angered by Galaxy’s rejection and abandonment. Her first star – fuel expended – became Blackhole, who followed her to the end of the universe and destroyed her.

That was the end of Galaxy, and the beginning of the end of our universe and everything we hold dear...
