Izu/Mei first kiss
Mei had calculated everything. Well, except for some miscalculations with her babies, but thatvwas just part of the process. You couldn't make an omelet without blowing the kitchen up, afterall. No, that wasn't right. Maybe that's why her parents never let her make breakfast.
That was irrelevant, however. There was one variable that she had not foreseen, a detail that could throw her whole schedule off course.
She had fallen for a boy. An incredibly eager, brave, dorky hero student with a dusting of freckles on his face and eyes like emeralds. She had never bothered memorizing names on her own...until him.
She thought he was just a good client/ test subject, but over time, he became more.
He was her first crush her age. An actual friend, and perhaps even her muse. She had to get this perfect, which is why she knew the calculations for this would be foolproof...because her other calculations were not. Mei lowered her goggles and got to work.
Around the same time, Izuku Midoriya was walking towards the support studio. He was very pleased with his last upgrade. It was actually handled by someone else, since Mei was handling a pile of other projects. Alit functioned well enough either way. And yet, it lacked that touch that was used to.
Izuku knew Mei was busy but he wanted to show his appreciation, so he had brought a bento he had made, tailored to her specifications. For a moment, he thought of Mei: how energetic and dedicated and chaotic she could be. He was happy to have met her. Perhaps one day, they could...no. "Clear your head, Izuku, he thought to himself as he shook the previous notions away. He hummed to himself as he reached for the handle.
KABOOM!
Once again, the door blew off its hinges and Mei had landed ontop of Izuku. It was just like the last time, except their lips were touching.
Mei slowly fluttered her eyes open and blushed as she saw what had happened: their first kiss, the only way it could have happened. She dusted herself off and punched the air!
"YES! I DID IT! THE TRAJECTORY WAS CORRECT! FIRST KISS, BABY! YEAH!"
She looked over at Izuku, who was completely wide-eyed and red in the face. He was barely able to get a word out as he clung to the bento. It was saved, but only because it was cushioned and held securely. The former added even more to Izuku's brain malfunctioning.
Mei looked at the boy. "You ok? Midoriya? MIDORIYA! IZUKU!" She clicked her tongue and looked at the box.
"Ah, nice. Grub. You're such a sweetheart. Thanks. She blushed as she planted a kiss on the boy's cheek and grabbed her lunch. "Two for two. Let's get you inside."
Then, draping Izuku over her shoulder and led him into studio. It took a few minutes for Izuku to register what had happened, but he would certainly journal about it later.

Soulmate Friday First Words - Hatsume/Midoriya (whether from one of your AUs or closer to canon)
“Wait, you want to be a Quirkless hero?! LET ME BE YOUR INVENTOR!”
They were the words that Izumi kept going under, the words she held tight to her chest as she tried to raise her daughter. As she struggled with her mother. Someone thought she could succeed. Someone thought she could do it.
Izumi found herself often attending inventor shows, Tomoe along for the ride. The toddler seemed amazing by it all, and through the shows Izumi found people to talk to. People who just wanted to talk about their inventions, who didn’t care what someone’s Quirk was. They treated Tomoe amazingly, and Izumi could burst.
“You want to be an inventor kid?” a man showing off old decommissioned support gear asked one day as Izumi checked his things out.
“Ah no. I want to be a hero.” Izumi admitted. “I’m Quirkless, so I know I’ll rely on gear more then anything else.”
“Wait, you want to be a Quirkless hero?!” a voice asked behind Izumi. “LET ME BE YOUR INVENTOR!” Izumi whirled around to see a girl with pink hair, bouncing on her toes. Tomoe made a noise.
“I’d rather be your soulmate.” Izumi blurted out and then slapped a hand over her mouth. The pink girl froze before she cackled, loudly.
“Why not both?!” she asked eagerly. “Hatsume Mei! Future CEO of Hatsume Industries!”
“Midoriya Izumi and my daughter, Tomoe. Future hero hopefully.” Izumi said. Hatsume didn’t hesitate at hearing the word daughter, instead launching into a passioned rant about plotting the best gear for Izumi.
 Neither stopped smiling.

Something I never really thought about but that makes perfect sense
Mei has to work with a lot of different kinds of materials, some of which would definitely be on the heavier side. She'd probably having some light muscle-tone from her work in the support course & in the future as a professional support item designer
Just another thing for Izuku to love her for
I just think it's a cute idea personally

Caught up with the BNHA Anime again and was like eh why not make a little chart of my opinions on BNHA ships. Whatever!! Misc. Opinions/basic thoughts on each under the cut
Shindeku:
This one's my fav tbh. They haven't interacted too too much but of course I always pick a somewhat rare pair to be my fav. I think their personalities work well together and I want to see some casual friend time between them before the series ends, PLEASE.... Also AU potential for if Deku joined general studies at UA. I also like that their quirks would make a very cool Hero team possibility.
MirioDeku:
Sunshine guy / crybaby dynamic yipee [yeah i know it works better with Tamaki but I don't really like him. Sorry.] Also the fact that their birthday is on the same day is SO cute??? I think their interactions in canon are fun. I'm never a big fan of "child character adopts younger child character" but I think the two of them make a good "big brothers" dynamic for Eri. I think early Mirio/Deku can give Deku more motivation to be strong [as if he needs it] and a source of positivity is nice.
[Also no I don't care that Mirio is 18. they're 2-3 years apart. Its not that deep. I'm 23 and dating a 20 year old. They are two years apart in school, and its not that big a gap in maturity. Its fine.]
RodyDeku:
Not pictured above but I wanna talk about it anyway. I haven't seen the movie since it was in theaters BUT I LOVE THESE TWO??? Speaking of fun dynamics and characters that get along well. Ough. Also Rody's quirk makes very fun possibilities for fanart and fanfiction.
BakuOcha:
Yeah you might have figured out I lean towards ships in shonen where the main starter point for the ship was "that one time they beat the shit out of each other". I think the sports festival battle put this one in my head, its the fact that Bakugo respected Uraraka enough to not underestimate her and actually use her name that got me. I also think their personalities work better then say, Deku and Bakugo, because Uraraka was NOT childhood friends with Bakugo.
DekuOcha:
Let's be real, its the canon ship. Its what is going to be end game, even if you don't want it to. So its going to have cute moments, and even though I don't want this ship to be canon, its going to be, so I'm going to enjoy the cute moments they have. These characters are literally written to be each others crushes so you really don't have to argue for it. I do like Uraraka better then say, a character like Sakura [Naruto], because she isn't just blindly going for a character who she thinks is hot and throws away a lot of other things just for the one guy[I could go into a Sakura Rant but Not Today]. Uraraka has distinct dreams and goals and personality! [Although that's not to say I love her- I think she could be better and female characters in this show are repeatedly designed and written in ways I loathe but that rant is for another day]
DekuMei:
They're nerds that can rant together. Yeah that's pretty much it sfdbjfds. Support course Deku is a fun possibility AU for this ship as well!
IidaDeku:
Once again, nerds. But Iida and Deku are different types of nerds so that's a fun dynamic. Also the whole fight against Stain, but I think the ship kinda drops for me the further into the show we get. The scene in Season 6 was nice though.
TogaOcha:
Yeah this is just because of that one panel in the Manga. What can I say, I'm not immune to "I love your smile" and "Your the cutest girl in the world" even though I don't know the context.
And the ships I actively Dislike:
[Once again, I don't have a problem with you if you ship these, they just aren't my cup of tea]
BakuDeku:
Honestly if I watched this show when I was like 12 I probably would have liked this ship. This isn't saying only 12 year olds watch this show, this is saying that I shipped Sasuke and Naruto as a Kid and this is this generations version of that. Albeit I still ship Sasuke and Naruto, but BakuDeku has a much different dynamic. I love that Bakugo and Deku are starting to be friends, but I like their dynamic to stay that way- I don't like them as a romantic pair, but I think they're fantastic rivals. I don't think they work romantically, because for the most part what I've seen of romantic works featuring them waters down their personalities. Its hard to write them in a canon supporting way together, and I think both characters have much better options.
DekuToga:
They really haven't interacted much, and I see Toga as much more just liking Deku [and a few others, including Uraraka] from a starstruck way. She doesn't really know him, but becuase she's always been shunned for her quirk, she doesn't know how to handle her feelings. I like Toga with Uraraka because I have seen them interact more and I think there's more basis there. Also to point out the obvious reason I don't like this ship for those that know me: I don't like Yanderes. Toga is very close to that trope, and a lot of the fanart of DekuToga is Yandere related. No thanks.
Misc: Dekubowl
I don't actually ship this but I think its funny if more then one person takes interest in Deku and has a sort of rivalry over it. Its silly and fun.
OVERALL: Shipping is silly and fun and If you disagree feel free to say so, I really don't care! Its fine! As long as you aren't being rude I'd even love to chat about opinions! I might make more notes on pairings in the future, or maybe not, we'll see lmao.

How does Izuku’s relationship get revealed to everyone else?
*cough* Finally found time again to do this after watching countless animes lmao
Anyway, well it depends really. Usually it would probably be found out by Mina who cannot keep it a secret, since she is very big on lovey dovey stuff, especially when it involves her besties from 1-A
And with IzuMina either one of the other girls finds out or Mina is just so in love she eventually starts talking about it
If Izuku is dating someone outside of 1-A like Mei, 1-B, Camie or Toga then eventually he can't hide it anymore depending on how many times he has to "go somewhere"

Walking down the hall, her attention was drawn from the special lens she had been investigating, to the sensation of someone picking up her hand in a greeting. He knew that would be more effective than trying to call her name.

alright, talk to us about... DekuMei
Hmm, Deku and Hatsume? She’s very much into her babies, so I’m curious about what would make her stop fixating on them to notice Izuku. But Izuku can also be single-mindedly passionate, so they have that in common. I think I’d find this interesting in AUs where Deku remained quirkless like originally planned and is a support student, or something like that. In that sort of story, they’d meet a lot earlier and be less “tinkerer and client”; a bit more balance.  I’m sure there’s likely fics out there with quirkless! support student Izuku with Mei as a friend; I haven’t looked but I know they’re out there.

Izuku/Mei?
“Disaster couple” certainly applies here, but in the sense that Mei is probably blowing Deku up half the time testing out all her babies! Really though, another cute couple! They both get really passionate about their own pursuits and can chatter about them together for hours on end (everyone avoids them like the plague during these times, lest they get their own ears talked off!). Deku’s shy but Mei is brash, so she takes the reigns of the relationship in the early stages. I think they’d get up to lots of fun together! Cute, cute!
Send a pairing to my inbox and I’ll tell you what I think about them!

IzuMei fake dating idea: a rumor starts circulating that Pro Hero Deku is low-key banging the engineer who makes his gear. Hatsume decides she likes the publicity it’s bringing to her business, so she starts doing what she can to propagate it; calling him by his first name, giving him presents, dining at restaurants with him, spending the night at his house...
Then one night he tells her he really does like her, and the realization that she’s liked him back all along hits her like a truck.

Mei and Awase.
It goes similarly to the Dekumei one, where her family asks her to socialize more, except she is expected to bring a date for her brother's engagement dinner and she chooses the first person to walk into her lab. That so happens to be Awase. Hijinks ensue.

photos of the past, videos of the future Chapter 4
On AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/35116858/chapters/87772504
Izuku did not look at anyone as the screen above him went through photos; his brain instead focused only on his current situation. Calvary battle and he had ten million points. Not too bad, except for the fact that his brain currently freaked the hell out given everything going on.
The points were bad enough; having to team up with people when the screen showed various futures where he had different romantic partners was another. If he teamed up with one, what would that say? What would it mean? If he didn’t, would it send a different message?
“Hey, De- Midoriya!” Ochako called out. “Want to team up?”
“Yeah,” Izuku agreed instantly. He felt sort of bad part of the reason he felt so relieved because he wasn’t yet shown with her. Ochako glanced behind him, and Izuku refused to copy her.
“...I suppose you do not want to pair up with your partners?” Ochako asked with a grin.
“That is so awkward, so please no.” Izuku said just as the screen flipped to show him on the first day of UA again, this time a boy with a rock-like head facing him.
The video showed Izuku dressed in a green hero uniform, a capture weapon around his shoulders. He stood in front of a class of UA students, all wearing the hero uniform. Next to him stood a man with a pair of khaki pants and a white shirt. He wore a safari-style hat over his head and held his hand over his face. A projector shows a younger version of the both of them in their first hero costumes behind the two men, and Izuku looks immensely amused.
“So you see, first costume drafts rarely work out. Take it from me and Anima- first draft is never as cool as the next few.” Izuku told the class. Anima shook his head, looking amused as he lifted his hands. Izuku turned to him to interpret.
“It’s not that it’s not as cool. It’s just that they don’t fit you as you grow older.” Anima said, Izuku interpreting his words. Izuku turned back to the group, nodding at a girl with her hand up. The girl possessed long silver hair as well as a horn on her head.
“Aizawa?”
“Is that why you also adjusted your costume Dekiru-Sensei?” The girl looked scared, hand wavering as she held it up. She then dropped it and had her shoulders pulled up as she looked down. Izuku looked at her with sad eyes.
“After losing my Quirk thanks to Overhaul and being forced to transfer my transferable one, yes, I had to change my costume to allow for me to work as a Quirkless hero,” Izuku said gently. “And if you’re blaming yourself for it, I’m making you run laps until you vomit.” The girl pouted but nodded. “Alright, everyone, thank Anima for coming to the lesson today- all of you are free to leave early to start that essay.”
“Oh shit!” A student hissed. “I forgot!”
“Dude!” Another said. Meanwhile, Izuku picked up some papers and followed Anima out of the classroom. The two walked down the hall for a bit before the other man reached out to place a hand on Izuku’s shoulder.
“I’m fine, Koji,” Izuku sighed, turning to the other man. “I grew up thinking I was Quirkless. And I’ve managed to prove to the world it’s possible now.”
“It’s still not something nice to remember,” Koji said out loud, not using sign language. Izuku blinked at him in surprise.
“Trying to draw animals here to cheer me up?” Izuku asked. Koji shrugged, a smirk on his face. “You being here is more than enough Koji. You were one of like five of our old classmates to believe I could still make it as a hero.” Izuku reached up to lay a hand on the one Koji still had on his arm. “I love you.”
Koji blushed but then leaned in to kiss Izuku, the two briefly exchanging a peck before Koji pulled back.
“I love you too,” Koji said, moving his hands to sign it to Izuku. Izuku smiled at him, cupping his cheek for a second before letting go. The two walked down the hallway, completely content with life.
Izuku had to take a deep and shuddering breath. Okay, losing his Quirk and becoming Quirkless. Again. Sort of because apparently he always had a Quirk. It only worked with One for All, but he could lose it. Because of some villain named Overhaul…
Izuku covered his face as his newest team member, Hatsume, who ambushed him and Ochako during the video to offer, fell silent for a second.
“… I need to make some babies help you here.” She decided.
“Thanks.” Izuku muttered.
Meanwhile, Koji watched the screen with a blush on his face. He looked… cool as a hero. He liked the costume change he would go through in the future. He looked like that really old Australian guy, Steve Irwin. He liked it.
He also liked how Izuku smiled at him in the future and how he knew sign and how he looked, and… he covered his face. A sigh came from beside Koji. He peaked out to see Kyoka smiling at him.
“Kinda hits you like a train. He’s cute, strong, nice, and you see how happy you are in the future with him,” she murmured. Koji nodded. “… still friends if he picks either of us?”
“Yes,” Koji said out loud for once. Kyoka smiled at him as the screen above Izuku’s head twirled into showing him on the first day of UA again, looking at a large brunette teen. Satou behind them choked.
Izuku stood in a kitchen with the brunette teen. Both were older, most likely adults. Izuku again had an undercut while the brunette man’s hair hung in a ponytail down his back. They were joined by a young girl who looked like she was made of cloth, almost like a patchwork doll. The three were baking something, dressed with aprons covering them. The little girl wore a chef’s hat and had a giant smile on her face.
“Alright, now we need a cup of sugar,” the brunette man declared. The little girl jumped off the stood she stood on to go over to a small cupboard with a sign saying ‘Family Baking Night Supplies.’ Izuku looked at the other man fondly.
“You’re so good at this, Rikido,” he said fondly.
“Helping kids? I have four siblings Izuku,” Rikido reminded the man. “Our daughter is simply one of many I taught to bake.”
“Still, it’s nice,” Izuku told him softly. The little girl came back to the counter with a small cylinder fitting in her hands nicely. She put it on the counter and beamed.
“What next, Papa?” she asked.
“Well Tomoe, we need-” Rikido began, but the door to their kitchen opened, and a green-haired woman with streaks of grey stepped in along with two men, one black-haired and tired looking, while the other had long blonde hair in a braid with glasses on.
“Grandma! Eraser-pa! Ya-mama!” Tomoe squealed, jumping off her stool. Izuku chuckled as his daughter threw herself at the three adults, the woman, his mother Inko, scooping her up into a hug.
“Hey Inko,” Rikido began, “Aiza- Shouta and Hizashi.” He made a face. “Ugh, that’s still weird.”
“It is,” Izuku said. He smiled at them. “It’s good to see you, Dad, Pops, Mom.” he nodded to each of the adults.
“Good to see you too,” Shouta replied. “You got coffee?”
“We do,” Rikido replied, moving to a cupboard and pulling out a French Press.
“I wanna show you guys my new bed!” Tomoe shouted. “Come on!” She jumped out of Inko’s arms and led the three adults out of the kitchen. Izuku let out a breath when they left, leaning against the counter.
“You alright?” Rikido asked, pausing as he tried to get the coffee ready. Izuku shrugged.
“I will be,” Izuku muttered. “Just not looking forward to them all trying to one-up each other.”
“Your dads and your mom fighting over who the better parent is will always stress you out, and that’s okay. My family drama is the same sugar,” Rikido winked at Izuku, who chuckled, moving so he could kiss the other man. Rikido reached up to cup the back of Izuku’s head, pulling him in. They pulled away with a soft sigh after a minute. “Just I don’t have a supervillain father.”
“Seriously, babe?” Izuku asked with a laugh.
The screen went back to flickering, leaving the stadium sort of reeling. Izuku firmly did not react to it, instead focusing on convincing Sero Hanta to join their group. The tape user seemed highly amused and agreed readily.
“This is going to be wild. Either everyone will target you, or no one will,” he laughed.
“I wonder how class is going to be awkward now,” Ochako said in amusement.
“You’re both awful,” Izuku muttered.
Meanwhile, Rikido tried not to flush seeing the screen. Seeing himself in a relationship with a kid and teaching the kid baking felt really nice. Seeing him connecting with someone over family drama felt great.
His parents divorced when he was young, and while his father had no interest in being a parent beyond child support, his mother tried. But, unfortunately, she just failed at being a good parent- a history of drug use and erratic work history led her to sign custody of Rikido over to his mama and bibi. His mother kept in touch with him, but she sometimes competed with his parents over being the one he loved most. It was awkward.
He looked at the screen and saw the love that his future family could have and knew he would be happy. He just had to get to it.
Meanwhile, Aizawa and Mic were trading surprised looks. How did they end up becoming Midoriya’s dads? To the point that they were considered grandparents- with terms of affection and everything.
“Do we need to clean out our guest room?” Mic said.
“I sort of figured we’d need to with that girl from earlier,” Aizawa muttered as the calvary race started. He noticed that Bakugou only had Kirishima with him, the blonde looking mad. They would need to talk to him later- maybe bar him from internships? The new insight into his relationship with Midoriya painted the first few weeks and the first hero lesson in a very nasty light now.
Todoroki sat on top of the shoulders of Yaoyorozu, Kaminari and Iida, while Tokoyami worked with Asui, Mineta and Shouji. Shinsou looked very confused, seated upon the shoulders of Ashido, Ojiro and Aoyama. Ashido looked thrilled, chatting away while Ojiro and Aoyama seemed amused.
The problem child himself worked with a pink-haired support student, Uraraka and Sero. He was obviously deciding not to team up with any of his potential partners. Smart, focusing on the festival though also unhealthy if he refused to deal with the revelations of the screen.
And also somewhat foolish, as the screen above his head suddenly showed a picture of earlier that day, where he and the support student locked eyes briefly while heading into the stadium.
Izuku was shown on screen, dressed in his hero uniform. He sat on a couch across from an interviewer, a smile on his face.
“And that’s how we shut down my old elementary and middle school for Quirk Discrimination and child abuse,” Izuku chirped.
“I see how you’ve earned your reputation as one of the most strategic heroes in Japan Dekiru,” the interviewer laughed. She was a blue-skinned woman who possessed no hair but had a broad smile on her face. “Now, about the rumours of you and the hero Dynamight- any truth to them?”
“What?” Izuku blinked. He looked confused. “Rumours about Dynamight and me?”
“Yes, people saw the two of you during your latest mission and saw how you held hands.” The woman laughed.
“...For one, no,” Izuku said slowly. “Dynamight and I have a complicated history due to our childhoods. I consider him at most a distant cousin due to the friendship our mothers shared. For two… I’m married.”
“...WHAT?!” the interviewer asked while the audience freaked out. Izuku looked lost as he sat there, looking around.
“Yeah?! I’ve been married since I was nineteen to Hastume Mei of Hatsume Enterprises,” Izuku said. “It’s not like it’s a secret.”
“You’ve never said in any of your interviews,” the interview replied, looking frazzled.
“No one’s asked, and frankly, I prefer to keep some things private. Mei wished to build her company without being connected to me, so we didn’t announce it- but a simple research into me shows that.” Izuku looked so lost, confusion painted clear on his face.
The video suddenly jumped ahead, showing Izuku entering a living room. A pink-haired woman with goggles sat on a couch, working on something on the coffee table. She looked up as he entered.
“Hey muscles, saw the interview,” she said. “Looked fun!” she laughed and went back to whatever she was building.
“Thanks for not being offended,” Izuku said with a sigh, moving to sit on the couch next to her.
“Pfft, any researcher worth the effort it takes to press a button would know we’re married. Not like we used fake names.” Mei remarked. “What about you? You offended no one knew we’re married?”
“More confused,” Izuku admitted.
“Eh, don’t worry about it, you’ve told the truth now, and I was about to come out with how many of my products are both of our babies!” Mei squealed.
“That’s the one that’s going to cause drama,” Izuku remarked. “They’ll assume we actually mean flesh and blood children.” Mei grinned, snickering.
“I know,” she chirped. Then, she turned to press a kiss on Izuku’s cheek before happily going back to her work, leaving Izuku to look at her fondly.
“I’m glad you found my notebook in high school.” He told her.
“I’m happy your brain is perfect for baby-making!” Mei squealed. Izuku just laughed.
“You have a notebook full of baby ideas muscles?!” Mei squealed as Izuku wished for the world to swallow him.
“Can we focus on the festival?” he asked.
“Sure! But I wanna see!” Mei said eagerly. They dodged an attack from Todoroki and his group. Iida looked flushed but determined as he helped them. Todoroki looked blank, but when he locked eyes with Izuku, he did look away quickly.
Mei grinned as she helped her future husband- because she would make the video come true- fight off their opponents. She couldn’t wait to see what sort of baby-making ideas he had! She never met anyone who could keep up with her before! It was terrific to learn!
Izuku tried to focus on the battle, dodging Todoroki. Mei’s jetpack and Uraraka lightening the load while Sero used his tape to move them quickly around the battlefield helped, but everyone else targeted them. Mostly. Eijiro seemed to be refusing to go after them, and while Bakugou looked furious, he put up with it. Hitoshi and his team stalked other groups rather than his, and Neito’s team seemed to be focused on messing with Bakugou.
The screen above Izuku’s head flickered, and he couldn’t help but glance up as everyone else also paused to check. There he stood on the first day of UA again, and the screen now included Sero.
“Seriously?” Izuku asked. “You couldn’t wait so it wouldn’t be awkward?!”
Izuku carried some groceries in one hand, looking tired as he fiddled with the keys he held in the other. Finally, he stopped in front of a door in an apartment building, sliding the key in. Izuku wore sweat pants and a t-shirt, looking rumpled as he opened the door. As soon as he did, music spilled out the door. Izuku blinked and entered the apartment, taking off his shoes.
“Hanta? I’m home?” he called out, going further into the apartment. He entered a living room where a tall, dark-haired man was dancing around to the music playing. He wore sweats and a tank top, looking happy and content.
“Babe!” Hanta laughed. “Anything need refrigeration?”
“No-” Izuku began. Hanta moved, diving to take the bag and drop it on the couch before he grabbed Izuku’s hand, Hanta’s other hand going to Izuku’s waist.
“Good.” Hanta grinned and began leading Izuku into a dance. Izuku couldn’t help his laugh as Hanta twirled him around, and he got to twirl Hanta around. After that, they swapped parts frequently, dancing around the living room to the music.
“Slow down. I’m not good at the salsa!” Izuku laughed as Hanta twirled him into a dance. The man laughed.
“Better get better for when we go and see my Abuela!” Hanta laughed. Izuku froze, his face falling, and Hanta frowned. “Izuku?”
“I…” Izuku felt his shoulders drop. “I spoke with Bakugou senior this morning,” he admitted. Hanta sighed.
“What did he say?”
“That I’m a terrible son to my mother for choosing to leave her and become a ward of UA. That he refuses to believe my mother could be anything but amazing. The list went on.” Izuku said softly. “Then Katsuki came by and grabbed his dad. He made him apologize and dragged him off. But…”
“I know,” Hanta said, wrapping his arms around Izuku. The two swayed back and forth for a bit, simply holding each other. “Your health comes before your mother’s Izuku- don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
“Just like you are just as important as your siblings,” Izuku replied. Hanta chuckled, squeezing him.
“Yeah. Yeah, we are.”
“You are,” Izuku blurted when the video ended. He flushed as Hanta tightened his grip on Izuku’s legs momentarily. “Sorry, but… yeah.” Seeing the video… he didn’t know what to do. He just felt numb. Another future where he and his mother parted ways. How many others showed the same thing? Or were the futures where he didn’t see her or hear about her different?
Izuku didn’t know, and it hurt. It nearly distracted him from another grab for his headband, but Hanta pulled through, hands warm on Izuku’s legs. And there was the other issue now- Hatsume on his side didn’t fully have a grip on him, but Hanta’s arms did hold onto him fully.
Hanta just wanted to focus only on the festival. Hearing the future, seeing it while also seeing the love he and Izuku shared… it felt crazy. His heart beat a bit faster, and his face warmed as he realized he was holding onto Izuku’s legs! His legs and his head was-
Dirty thoughts later, Hanta! He thought as they dodged a strike from the Todoroki team. Hanta noticed a deadly look from Todoroki and Iida at him. It made him pause and then grin. He adjusted his grip on Izuku’s legs, making it obvious.
The furious looks made his day, though the jab in the side from Mei made him wince. Worth it though, in his humble opinion.

-I actually changed the layout here by moving Hatsume to third for the sheer hilarity. I don’t regret it. Izuku: *thinking he missed teaming up with his future partners*
Screen: HATSUME AND SERO.
Izuku: FUCK.
-While I don’t personally think any of 1A would be against a Quirkless person (Other then Bakugou)… I wanted drama. Also it was more a knee jerk- you rely on your Quirk and can’t change that without them like being aware of his history. They did come around but like Izuku sort of hangs around the five more.
-Ya-Mama is blamed on a friend.
-Changing around the teams! Yeah, only Kirishima was willing to partner with Bakugou here because everyone else heard he was a bully and went: no. Kirishima though knows he helped Bakugou so he’s willing to still do so! Bakugou is getting a very real reality check right now… and yes, he might be losing out on internships for the actions taken while he’s been at UA.
-The Hastume set up came froma discarded idea for the They’re Lesbian series I have where I make fem!Izuku gay. I decided against it for now, so boom. Here.
-I originally thought of using Bakugou himself in the SeroDeku bit but then had the idea that Masaru would be the instigator. I then had this long thought out idea that Masaru is in love with Inko and he’s angry Izuku left her. Mitsuki is completely unaware and is in love with her husband, but he doesn’t love her. Inko is also unaware and isn’t even interested. Katsuki though IS aware and pissed. He got therapy as a teenager and while he and Izuku aren’t close, Katsuki is willing to drag his dad off if needed.
-Kouda and Izuku got together after instead of Mirio, it is Izuku who gets hit with the bullet. OFA fought it off but needed to move to a new host. Izuku managed to pass it on… to Kirishima. He came out as having received a transferable Quirk and that now he can no longer wield it thanks to the bullet. Kouda was one of the few who fully supported him, and they ended up falling for each other. Currently married, no kids but they have like six cats, four dogs, ten birds, five rabbits… it’s crazy. Izuku teaches at UA, became a Quirkless hero and is awesome. Also, uniform change came from TikTok for Kouda.
-Sato and Izuku got together after Izuku was removed from Inko’s custody after the revelation of DFO for Izuk’s safety. He became Aizawa and Mic’s ward and later became adopted by them after Inko went helicopter and obsessed with Izuku’s safety. She’s better now. Sato’s similar history helped him with connecting to Izuku and the two became very close. They’re married with Tomoe as their kid.
- Hatsume and Izuku got together when she found his notebook and went: mine now. Like she just went up to him, and said: I want to make babies with you. She then dragged him off for inventing. Nezu caught wind, and then trained Izuku and her. They are very happy together. Married with no kids- Mei doesn’t want to be pregnant cause it’ll take time away from inventing. They may adopt in the future, but right then they’re happy.
-Sero and Izuku got together after Izuku confessed an unhappy home life. Sero helped him file for wardship because Sero himself filed when he first got to the dorms- on advice from his abuela who was the one taking care of him. She was like early sixties and struggled with raising her grandkids after her son and his wife died in a villain attack. Sero, as oldest, was actually easier to simply leave to his own devices. She’s aware it was wrong and deeply regrets it. But anyway, Sero and Izuku bonded over that. They’re happily engaged and plan on adopting in the future. (They end up adopting Tomoe and the OC twins One/Two later on)

Note
what do you think of deku and mei?
oh my god poor deku............
its not a ship i think about, but i think it could work in certain situations!! mei’s so outgoing and...unique, compared to deku who can be very timid/flustered with how hands-on she is.
sounds very cute as long as mei doesn’t blow them up. 10/10
