Windsurfing!

“I got us windsurfing lessons,” Izuku stated, keeping his eyes locked on the water. He could feel a pair of eyes on him but didn’t move before Roro and Lala came bounding to the umbrella with the sunscreen.

“Roland, while we are out on the water, watch Lala,” Rody demanded. The boy nodded, understanding his role as an elder brother– that was until Lala let out a frustrated groan.

“I’m not a kid anymore!” she scolded, crossing her arms over her chest. “You two have to stop treating me like one– and it’s Laila. Lala was the nickname you called me when I was little!”

“Alright, alright.” Rody sighed before Izuku handed the kids his phone.

“If you show this ticket to the vendor over there, they’ll give you wristbands to use the equipment,” Izuku explained, and that was enough to get a smile on Lala’s face as she took the phone and ran off toward the little shack not far from their spot. “Let’s get some sunscreen, and then we’ll go find the instructor. It should be starting in a few minutes.”

“Sounds good. Mind getting my back real quick?” Rody asked, picking up the sunscreen bottle and handing it to Izuku. The man nodded, taking the bottle and pouring some of the cream onto Rody’s back. The shock of the cold made Rody squeak. Izuku couldn’t help but laugh at this.

“Sorry,” Izuku chuckled as he rubbed the cream into the other’s skin, making sure to get every spot so he didn’t burn. After Izuku was done, Rody helped him in the same way. Then it was onto the rest of their bodies. It took a while, but after they were lathered up in protective sunscreen, they were ready to go. By that time, the kids had come back with his phone and were off toward the storage of water toys. Packing his phone away in the bag he had brought, the duo were off as well, heading toward the shack.

“What can I help you with?” a man asked, walking up to the front counter.

“We signed up for windsurfing lessons,” Izuku stated, hoping that Rody would be interested in something new and supposedly fun.

“Name?”

“Midoriya.”

“Alright, here you are.” two wristbands were handed to them before they were directed toward an area of gathering people and wind surfboards. They each put on their wristband and headed over to the area.

“Are you ready?” Izuku asked, looking to Rody, who looked confident yet also nervous. Rody simply nodded and walked alongside Izuku until they reached the group. They waited probably ten minutes until the instructor arrived to explain how the class was going to be set up over the next hour. Izuku thought it was very cocky of the instructor to also claim how they would become masters under his tutelage in an attempt to sell out another class the following day.

After thirty minutes of learning the basics of windsurfing, Izuku could safely say that this was a bad idea. Why? Because Rody was not doing well while he was doing just fine. Izuku paddled over to where Rody was bobbing idly, an unamused look on his face as he clung to the board. “Do you want me to help?” Izuku asked carefully, not wanting to hurt Rody’s pride but needing to extend the offer.

“I don’t think you can help me,” Rody muttered, obviously frustrated with the activity.

🐦 Production Update 🥦

We have exciting news! Our new plushie manufacturer got back to us with the completed sample of our Rody plush!

The quality looks great, so with some very minor changes, we're moving forward with production.

The manu cited a ~35 day production time. We opted to ship by air to avoid further delays, so it should take ~7-10 days to ship the plushies to our shipping mod once they're ready.

Once production is complete we'll post another update and email a reminder for address changes!
