Take two weeks vacation. Rest on the first week. Order a leveler online to build shelves for books and finally finish the office the next week. Order new organising stuff for the office which is guaranteed to arrive monday next week.

Second week comes. Post office lost your leveler. It's now been two weeks and they can't find it. Fine, you move on to the bar, which you've been meaning to set up since moving in a year and a half ago. Look up online. Store has the bar you want. Great! Go up there. Start shopping. Pick up a bunch of stuff for bar. Finally approach staff member and ask "I'd like to take that bar, please". It's out of stock. Order for delivery at the store. Seven workdays wait. Will be here after your vacation is over. Now you have a bunch of stuff for the bar, but no bar. Great.

Second week comes along. It's monday. Delivery is not here. Notification says it has just arrived in seville and will be here next day. Wasted a whole day waiting at home for nothing. But tomorrow will be the day.

Tuesday comes along. Wait all day. At around 4 new notification: package just left Madrid and will be here next day. Don't even ask me how the fuck it went to Seville first and then back to Madrid. Another whole day wasted waiting for this shit. Ok

Wednesday comes along. Package is finally delivered. Literally an hour later, new notification that second package has just arrived in Madrid and will be delivered next day.

It's now Thursday. I head off to teach my class, cause I'm not THAT much on vacation. Boyfriend stays home. It's the fourth way we stay home just waiting for packages.

Someone rings the door bell. Boyfriend opens the door of the building and then waits. Seconds later, our next door neighbour comes up and tells him there's a guy downstairs with a package for him. For some fucking reason, the idiot didn't come up. Boyfriend goes downstairs. This whole interaction lasted 30 seconds. Delivery dude just left. Literally waited 30 seconds and left. There's only one number to call. It's an automated number that ONLY allows rescheduling. The stupid delivery guy is still in the area but there's literally no way to contact him. Boyfriend reschedules. Will be delivered tomorrow in the morning. Another day fucking wasted waiting for packages, and now a morning more.

And that's not including the adventure of buying a new fridge and having to defrost our old fridge, which has a leak problem and accumulated frost like it's the fucking arctic in there. My whole kitchen floor is flooded with icy water. Plus the power going out while dinner is in the oven and I'm stuck behind a fridge in a semi flooded kitchen without seeing shit. Plus the fact that our dishwasher is still broken and none of the companies we called called back, so we still have a broken dishwasher because the previous owners literally did nothing, jack shit, to maintain the stuff owned.

Great vacation, everyone. Oh, and I have a migraine
