The further I go through life the more I realise that what I experience as someone being "attractive" is really just a response to me perceiving them as nice, and my brain then painting that niceness onto their face.
I'm like "but surely I find so and so cute" no, you just think they're nice. "But they have pretty eyes?" Yes, because the eyes are the window to the soul and their soul is nice. Kind. Friendly. If they did not seem nice, you would see the same eyes and be like "meh, eyeballs".
I am nicesexual.

Demiro lgballt comic
(This comic is not about asexuality or demisexuality -I'm allosexual demiromantic)
Tumblr media
(id needed) (tag us if you added an id to this)(edit : there is an id now check rbs)
This was before I realised Im demiromantic, when I was in high school, before the Romeo and Juliet unit in english class, my teacher asked us some discussion questions related to the story, including this one.
I thought 'love at first sight' sounded made-up and like something that only happens in fiction but I remembered I had known some people who got romantic crushes on ppl 'at first sight' so I went with 'yes', while thinking that I hadn't experienced that and probably won't.
I realised Im demiromantic last year, after thinking I was alloromantic then aromantic then greyromantic. In the past I thought I was demirose briefly then stopped using the label bc it didn't feel like me.
(-Rift)
[do not tag with ace / acespec / demisexual tags. This post is about demiromanticism. ]
do not repost, (can share this post link though), reblogs encouraged though

I love being demiromantic and asexual, I love how my relationships have so much communication and interesting conversations about the topics, I love my couple and how we have our unique way of loving, I love how I see things differently, and how everything now makes sense after I discovered my identity

Sometimes being demi aroace feels like having the Schrodinger's Cat of queer identities:
Somehow you're both too allo and too aspec at the same time and which part someone gets upset over depends entirely upon their own queer identity.

Demiromantic Tree - I can’t remember if I ever posted this, so here it is! Demiromantic tree. Kind of an experimental piece, but I enjoyed how it came out!

"The thing is," I said to my husband, "maybe the, like, 14yo aces really ARE a bit young to know. I mean it's pretty common to not fancy people at that age, right?"
"Mmm"
"I mean, did YOU fancy people when you were 14?"
"Yes."
"What?! At 14?"
"Yes."
"Like, who?!?"
"Girls in my class."

when you're part of the grey area of aromanticism or asexuality there are many shared experiences with fellow a-specs (like aromantic and asexual) but you can also slightly understand the allo experience. so it's like a double confusion... because you may experience attraction every other day, week, month, and/or year, but also what kind of attraction is this? and do I want to pursue something serious with them? what if my feelings aren't as intense or don't last long enough for something serious? what if they don't feel the same way because I've waited to long to confess because I didn't feel like this when we first met? and if things ultimately work out and it's a mutual thing, then what things do we do in a "romantic relationship"? what constitutes one? do I even want a romance? why can't I just define my relationship and boundaries with my partner without sticking to the normative romance? Oh, wait! I can! fuck amatonormativity.
