With the release of Hazbin Hotel, a discussion on Discord let the idea of Stanford Pines as an Overlord in hell. And here’s the result!

When Ford fell through the portal he would change in ways that no one could expect. So much so that when he returned to the nightmare realm and then to his home dimension, to his own twin he seemed unrecognizable. Sharp golden teeth filled his mouth, which was now stretched in a twisted smile. Pages litereed his body, flicking through themselves often at random. His nose was covered in glowing cracks. But the strangest of all were his eyes. His left was glowing yellow, bright like a certain demon he dealt with. But his right? it was a deep crimson, worse than bloodshot and very unnatural. Worse than that were the two other eyes that opened above and below them.

His re-introduction to his family was a shaky affair. He scoffed at his brother and gave the twins a half glance. He walked his way up the stairs to the main floor and with a flick of his wrist, several ink whisps burst out of the pages on his body and started to attack the government agents assaulting the shack. From hundreds all that stood were two. Agents powers and Trigger. They looked around in horror as Ford smiled maliciously at them.

"wh-what did you do to our men?" Powers stammered.

"I merely, took note of them." Stanford smirked. The pages on his body began to flick through themselves, revealing the faces of the agents he had attacked. each of them twisting in horror and pain. Extensive notes on each person were written around them, but flicked passed too fast for anyone but him to notice. "Unfortunately, there wasn't much for me to learn."

"Well release them!" Trigger stood up, trying his best to intimidate Ford.

"Now, now, that's no way to talk with a demon." Ford's teeth gleamed in the afternoon sun. "You have to make a deal."

"D-demon?" Trigger was taken aback. "b-but"

"You see, Thirty years ago I was tricked by a demon, a lesser one in all honesty. but a demon nonetheless. Due to him I was sent away. And during my travels, i realized, why should i suffer under him? I could be so much BETTER!”

But any good Overlord needs a faithful Hound

"You always were so keen on protecting me in our youth, weren't you? Perhaps a new form will be of use for your new...role in life." Stanford grinned wickedly. Then with a snap of his fingers the ink wisps emerged from the pages on his body and began to swirl around Stan. In mere moments he was encapsulated in a sphere of dark demonic ink.

"Grunkle Stan!" Dipper and Mabel cried. but they were unable to reach their uncle.

"You two will remain, the conditions of our agreement was your safety in exchange for his loyalty. And I will not allow you to get in my way."

While the twins struggled the ink continued to swirl around their uncle. The pages on Ford's body fluttered and turned until they all fell on the same imposing design of a bi-pedal wolf. Horned and dripping with blood. Just as the picture appeared on Ford's body, the ink surrounding his twin shot back into the pages, leaving Stan in a heap on the floor. The twins squirmed in Ford's grasp, but his hold was inescapable.

"Get up Stanley. It's time to get to work."

"You could at least give a guy a chance to get used to changing. Jerk." Stanley slowly pushed himself up. The first thing he noticed were his hands. Once they were hairy normal human hands. Nails needing a bit of work but nothing out of the ordinary. But now they were furry and clawed. Sitting up he observed how his new hands were much hairier, dark gray fur with sharp claws jutting out of each finger. On the underside were soft pads black as ink. Slowly he moved his hands up his chest, feeling the tears in his suit, where his new more muscular body and fur poked out. Until he reached his head. In the process of being attacked his fez had been knocked off. In place of his thinning gray hair were two ears on top of his head and a pair of long pointed horns.

"What did you do to me?" He muttered.

"I helped you play your part of a loyal hellhound much better. No more brittle old man bones here." Ford cackled. His voice echoed through the woods.

If this au was ever to get a name… i think it would be Sinners AU or Overlord AU. It does resemble the One of Us AU, but Ford didn’t became a demon because he took Bill’s deal.

i am obsessed with the idea of modern era pre-betrayal ford having a tumblr blog and liveblogging the research and relationship w/bill. also like. letting bill answer asks, disastrous as it may be

and then, just not posting during the betrayal+portal days (for obv reasons) and stanley not even knowing the blog exists so it just gets abandoned

but. when ford comes back (maybe also bill too?) he just logs onto tumblr like nothing happened

something interesting i realized just recently is that ford went back and wrote those notes in invisible ink on the anomaly entries. they were not there when he first wrote them

which means, one, he read back- at the very least- through all of the anomaly entries (i don’t have black light edition so i can’t check everything to see exactly where he added things). he wrote those entries after having already known bill. can’t imagine how it must have felt to look back on that part of his life again

two, nonetheless, even in his sleep-deprived hallucinatory state, he put in the effort to add notes. and he got all of them right (all the ones that we get to see in-show anyway). zombie skulls really can be shattered by a perfect three-part harmony. gnomes really do go feral like that. even with the hopeless situation he was in, he still thought of and put care into his research

three, it makes the quote ‘some brother you turned out to be. you care more about your dumb mysteries than your family’ really hurt. all his life, mysteries and weirdness were a comfort to him. even when he was losing his mind, being regularly injured by a demon who could actively change the way his brain functioned, anomalies were still a comfort to him. the weirdness was familiar in a way that allowed him a sense of normalcy. just a moment of calm. it’s something bill can’t take away and it’s something that can’t just leave him

and stan calls them stupid. and stan accuses ford of being selfish for pursuing them. and stan says ford is uncaring for immersing himself so heavily in them instead of turning to a family made up of an abusive threat, a pathological liar, someone who isn’t there, and someone who, in his eyes, didn’t even really ever care about him at all

and it’s the last thing he hears before he’s thrust into a foreign world that completely severs him from every source of comfort he ever had

Can I ask if you will continue your Gravity Falls AU, or if you have completely abandoned it? I would just like to know more about this au, about the relationship between Ford and Stanley, how Ford himself treats Y/n, how Deeper and Mabel treat Y/n, if they would even see each other in this au, how Bill himself ultimately feels about them, whether they have any hidden agendas, and what their character is roughly like. Do they have the same goal of taking over the universe as Bill, or are they just having fun doing all sorts of crap that is beyond the reach of the human brain?

I would just be interested to know about all this, even if the answers themselves are in written form, I will be glad. I would like to know more about this au in general.

Y/n says all of them are stupid but use them as cards in game with bill, mostly because y/n wants to make bill suffer and mess up bills plans.

Welcome one and all to the blog that owns the Golden Demons AU!

This AU has a few major story-changing differences you can read about here:

Stanley and Ford are twin golden demons. Stan's demonic form, as you can see here, is the crescent moon of his first fez. We call him "The Moon". Ford is a bit harder to describe, but essentially he is a shadow puppet of 2 - 6 fingered hands. The hands are black like shadow but the default color is gold/yellow like his brother and like the journal hands. We call him "The Shadow."

The Grunkles are now replaced by William "Will" and Bill Cipher, William in Stan's place and Bill in Fords as the gifted child with a brain well beyond his years. It's what sets him apart as well as the fact he lost an eye to an accident in childhood.

Mabel and Dipper have switched, but only slightly. Their zodiacs are still the same, but their personalities have switched as well as who has the birthmark. (Mabel does now.)

Ford is the "big bad" of the AU. The reason for this is that Ford, as a demon, is a hoarder of knowledge. Think Herma Mora from TES. Someone who will do anything to have the knowledge, even if he isnt interested in the knowledge specifically, JUST so he can have all of it. He really only does what he has to do for what he wants, including having a familial relationship with Stanley. (A very frayed, selfish relationship.)

Une's Nonsensical Ramblings Episode 1: One Of Us AU Ok so, this au? This au right here? Love it, it's one of my absolute favorites, the idea is something that makes me very happy. However, I've always felt like the design of Demon Ford and just his dynamic in general with Bill and his crew could be improved. So, THIS;

I'm taking a darker spin on it. In lieu of outright betrayal, Bill traps the three remaining Pines in prison bubbles and has Ford be the holder of their keys, finding it amusing that he's the one keeping his own family hostage. As time goes on, Ford becomes less and less human, and more focused on the task Bill has set for him. I like to think Fords job would be to intake information from as many multiverses as possible. Stripping him down to his core he becomes an apathetic vessel for knowledge. He takes the form of a Guidance Demon but he only guides himself - remnants of his Loner personality trait. Bill speaks to him through the lantern. Ford rarely ever speaks back after a while. I imagine he takes knowledge in many ways. Be it from libraries or data on a computer. One of the more violent ways is stripping it from a person. Likely a fate many alternate Fords have met their end too. Not like this one cares, it's all in the desire of knowing.

Their keys, more detailed and upfront.

Y'all... I have another AU ToT Bill got to be a human so naturally I made a completely different universe in which Ford is a demon. The brainrot is real and I wanna post stuff here soooooo

What I love about this AU is that I’ve put the twins in a world where their skill sets are valued at opposite levels than they were on earth. But I will say, this AU has developed so much that it's barely recognizable as having started from GF.

Zeph's Demon Ford AU

Part I: Mortality

Stan is the leader of a thieving crew in an apocalyptic world called Scadrial. (I've based this part off of the world in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy, but although I recommend it highly, I'll describe all of this so nobody has to have read it to understand.) As for Ford... He and Stan aren’t identical. Ford never bulks up like he does in canon. He likes to read and write but doesn't have much of an outlet for that - he’s just constantly journaling. He’s very quiet, but very spiteful. He doesn’t speak much and is very sickly and awkward. He also doesn’t sleep much so he’s got really sunken dark eyes behind longish dirty hair.

Stan obviously loves Ford very much, but the crew members are kinda pissed that he’s there because they feel like he doesn’t do anything and yet he gets paid for their work. At one point his journal gets stolen and he’s outed for his crush on one of the (male) crew members. This really weakens Stan’s reputation and the crew pulls a coup.

The twins end up on the streets and Ford just feels awful; he was utterly humiliated and the crew members really roughed him up. He hated feeling so weak. He also starts having awful nightmares; he's being targeted by a dream demon. The demon repeatedly asks Ford to make a deal with it, but Ford refuses again and again. Ford ends up killing a nobleman; for his pocket change, but really to prove something to himself. The noble's murder attracts the attention of law enforcement and he and Stan are captured. Before they're executed, Ford decides to take the demon's deal.

Part II: Fiddleford

Ford and Stan spend years as the demon's servant, until Ford is able to overthrow it, taking its power for himself. He received the powers of the dream demon and Stan received the power of a shapeshifting illusionist. They were left with a problem, however: if Sixer didn’t get enough worship, both he and Stan would die. Taking the name Sixer to separate himself from his younger, weaker self, he devised a strategy where he would find a mortal to seduce, squeeze all the worship he could out of them, kill them, and live off of the power until he needed to find someone else.

Eventually, Sixer started conning Fiddleford McGucket, a newly wed cattle driver in 1880s Texas. He preyed on Fiddleford’s closeted sexuality and faith, posing as an angel sent from god to help cure his sexual deviance. Fiddleford, however, took longer to con than most and Sixer was forced to spend more time with the man. Out of jealousy, he poisoned a pregnant EmmaMay, getting Fiddleford all to himself.

Sixer decided he had spent far too much time and energy on Fiddleford to murder him like the others - and growing up with very little as a child had made Sixer VERY territorial. Before Fiddleford could find out that Sixer had lied about being an angel, he convinced Fiddleford to give him his soul and make him immortal, gifting him the power to control memory and a body made of vegetation.

Fiddleford would spend the next century trying to justify…. Everything. Sure Sixer had lied and had been trying to con him, but he was clearly being given special treatment compared to Sixer's other victims. Sure he only admitted he loved him when he was intoxicated but he did love him! Sixer's drunken rants about his childhood and peeks into his memory only made him seem more redeemable.

(Stan, in case you’re curious, just eventually learned to do his own thing. He talked to Fiddleford one on one a lot but Sixer had changed so much, any interaction he had with him usually ended in a shouting match. Unable to leave, Stan just tries to keep his head down and enjoy what little he can)

Part III: Bill

While Sixer grew resentful of Fiddleford’s clinginess, Fiddleford grew resentful of Sixer’s unfair treatment. Eventually, he murdered one of Sixer’s targets, cutting off his worship supply. In retaliation, Sixer picked up a recently reincarnated Bill Cipher (from after the canon Weirdmageddon events) to make Fidds jealous.

Excited about the prospect of winning over a different Stanford with sticking it to a different Fiddleford as an added bonus, Bill agreed to the hook up and ended up convincing Sixer to get rid of Fiddleford entirely. Sixer hated the fact that his soft spot for Fidds had made him weak and Bill offered to fix the problem of his worship supply's connection to his mortality so it seemed a fair trade.

Sixer's regret for killing his unofficial consort was strong, but he tried his hardest to push it down. The regret grew, however, into resentment for Bill and Sixer decided to overthrow Bill the same way he did his old demon master. Bill figured out early that Sixer was planning something like this, but - unwilling to accept the idea of losing Ford a second time - denial prevented him from taking any course of action against Sixer's machinations. Until, that is, they grew too hard to ignore and Sixer exploded about how killing Fiddleford was the worst mistake he ever made.

Enraged by a second betrayal, Sixer met the same fate by Bill's hand that Fiddleford had met by Sixer's own.

(And Stan lived happily ever after)
