KIM KITSURAGI - He kneels down with his head bowed, casting his face in shadow. He plants a hand on the ice to stabilize himself, squinting to get a better view of the motor carriage. “Detective, it says ‘57’ on it.”

YOU - Sweat drips down your brow, and you feel a terrible headache coming. “Maybe our joyrider has an affinity for that number?”

LOGIC - He's not stupid, he knows that it's not that.

KIM KITSURAGI - “57.”

YOU - “What about 57?”, you brace yourself.

KIM KITSURAGI - “Precinct 57.”

YOU - You wince. “Kim, look-”

KIM KITSURAGI - “When I woke up in the Whirling-in-Rags with no memory of what happened during the days before, I've taken note that something of mine has gone missing.” He grits his teeth. "A very. Important. Something."

He runs his hands over his face, messing his already unkempt hair in the process. Regret creeps up on his features. “God. Fuck. They’re going to fire me over this, they’re not going to hear me out.”

EMPATHY - Desperation settles in the lieutenant's tone. Sadly, you find yourself in agreement, even if you don’t want it to be the truth.

YOU - “People are more valuable than machines, Kim.”

KIM KITSURAGI - “Not people like me.” He rasps.

YOU - “…”

KIM KITSURAGI - Before you can say anything more, you fail to notice the lieutenant carefully walking onto the edge of the ice. He looks over the frigid water, a dizzying blue that mirrors and distorts his exhausted face back to him.

YOU - “Kim?”

KIM KITSURAGI - Seconds pass as he looks to be contemplating something. Out of nowhere, he casually takes another step where the ice ends and the sea begins. It happens all too quick for the lieutenant to even voice a call for help— if he even wanted to — his body plunging into the cold water before your eyes.

YOU - “KIM!!!!”

I find it funny how English speaking people use he/she pronouns for objects/animals as a way of showing endearment when there's multiple languages - including mine - that just gender objects and animal species in general

Table? Guy shaped.

Shoe? Girl shaped.

Door? They/them that bitch.

Cat? Girl until proven otherwise.

Dog? Boy until proven otherwise.

Pig? Let's not even bother, it's an it/its.

And that's just Czech. German has completely different genders for most of these things. And that goes for every other heavily gendered language. It's a curse really :)

some thoughts on hell and lucifer

an interesting little tidbit to think about is that in dante's inferno, it's stated that Hell existed since before humanity, that the concept of Sin is not something which started with humans. the most common explanation for this is that god made hell for the rebellious angels, and was later on used for sinners as well

in ultrakill though, hell was made with humans in mind. and the reason i say that is testament IV in 5-S:

"FATHER, WHY ETERNAL TORMENT? IS IT NOT CRUEL? IS TORTURE UNENDING TRULY A FATE FIT FOR A FOOL?" AN ANGEL SO BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL ASKED ME THIS . . . AND I COULD FIND NO ANSWER FOR I COULD NEVER FACE THE GUILT OF WHAT I'D DONE . . . lucifer in ultrakill did not 'rebel' against god until after hell was made, meaning that hell's original purpose in ultrakill is to condemn sinners. and the reason for lucifer's fall was not some desire within him for god's power. rather it was his pursuit for justice for the damned souls that sealed his fate.

i think dennis' biggest problem with mac's behavior in dennis' double life is mac's automatic assumption they are a couple now, without any input or confirmation from dennis.

mac is not wrong for realizing their relationship extends beyond platonic, he just didn't allow dennis to reach this conclusion as well. dennis hates feeling out of control, but mac publicly exposed dennis' vulnerability in tends bar and then he pushes dennis into doing the couple scheme without realizing dennis is still reeling from, what is essentially, mac's confession

additionally, dennis is confused by mac's mixed signals. mac wants to be a couple but he wants things to stay exactly the same (the apartment), mac tells dennis he loves him but when talking to mandy, mac focuses on their sex life. dennis has no way to discern whether mac's confession and insistence on them being a couple comes from love or lust, and because of dennis' issues with sex, he views these two as mutually exclusive. mac also says he has no problem "pretending" to be in a relationship with dennis for the rest of brian jr.'s life, which of course dennis takes as "i'm going to pretend to be emotionally involved with you to receive the benefits of a relationship (sex)." dennis rejects him because he doesn't want to lose the emotional aspect of his relationship with mac by becoming intimate because he doesn't want to be reduced to being mac's sex object.

what makes this situation worse is dennis' reaction is justified, because when dennis comes home from north dakota, he sees that during his absence mac has made a sex doll in his image in lieu of an actual relationship with someone else. this confirms dennis' worst fears and cements his belief that mac only cares about having sex with him, because if mac was looking for love, he could have found it while dennis was gone.

maybe things would have turned out differently if mac had slowed down and waited for dennis to catch up. maybe if dennis could see mac wanted him without sex, he would have been able to open himself to both. communication could have save them, but mac and dennis are poor communicators and now they are left with a fractured relationship neither of them are happy with

No, all jokes aside, it will ALWAYS be Richard. Always. I am very set when it comes to my favourite and while I adore Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) to bits and have a special (warm and cozy since he deserves nothing less) corner in my heart reserved for Michael Jackson, both will never reach the level of love and admiration I have for Richard.

Not to sound cheesy, but this man is everything for me (he's so enthusiastic, interesting, so creative and driven by his love for music and just a warmhearted individual), I fell in love with him almost 10 years ago and he has that number one spot since back then 🙏🏼

Now, actor-wise. That's a little different since actors for me have kind of a subordinate position after musicians (since I kind of have the feeling I can 'fangirl' about music even more than about movies/shows/actors), yet I am a big movie fan since I grew up in a very movie-enthusiastic household.

I had my customary teen-crush on Keanu Reeves, had my little Christian Bale-craze and fell head over heels for Joaquin Phoenix but none of these were so mindbogglingly intense (!) like my enthusiasm for Richard or Rammstein. Now those guys are just there, chilling in my 'favourite actors'-file.

With Hugo it's just. A little different. I've known him for half my life, 'The Matrix' is my favourite movie ever, and just now I'm kind of realising how perfect he is for me (since I was so scared of him when I was a teen). He's so versatile and talented, much more than a lot of actors I 'swooned over' before, he has such a great voice and is overall so approachable and down to earth, and such an interesting individual. It's like looking at a long term acquaintance and realising how they accompanied you through life and how much you actually love them 😌

And on another note: As a Rammstein fan for almost 10 years, I've seen and read some shit/dumb articles/stuff from people who don't understand the band and want to make this everyone's problem. Not only in the last year. Being fan of this band can sometimes be challenging, especially for someone with some anxiety issues, plus Richard is sometimes so unhinged and a lot to take in (you know what I mean), so a little voice in my head tells me it's nice to have an unproblematic side-obsession, and that's Hugo for me 😅
