Hi I just wanted to come on here and talk about depression I recently lost my dad to depression and it's been one of the hardest things I have had to deal with. well I am only 14 I also got diagnosed with depression at the age of 12, I really wish I said some things to him that might have stopped him I don't know. I read a quote about depression it goes like this "Don't make a permanent decision over a temporary situation" I wish my dad knew that anyway Cherish time with your loved ones <3

Max Azzarello is the name of the young man who died after setting himself on fire outside the Manhattan courthouse where Donald Trump is on trial. Already I can sense both Democrats and Republicans scrambling to find out his political affiliations in order to make him a martyr for their cause and that saddens me deeply. The events that took place in Manhattan were the results of poor troubled soul who desperately needed help he never got. Maxwell was born in 1987 and was a native of St Augustine, Florida. A registered Democrat, he attended the University of North Carolina from 2005 to 2009. He then obtained his master’s degree in city and regional planning in 2012 from Rutgers. His friends described him as a gentle soul and kind, creative, highly intelligent and well-informed — albeit concerned — about the world. He was a conspiracy theorist who it seems did get obsessed with whatever he was researching but ultimately it was the passing of his dear mother that pushed him towards his violent death! If people want to use him as a symbol for whatever agenda they’re pushing but I beg those same people to remember the man too🙏 While at Rutgers, a former classmate, recalled him dotting hallways with encouraging Post-it notes for his classmates and singing karaoke versions of Frank Sinatra and Disney songs💔 Maxwell Azzarello had a bright future ahead of him only he couldn’t outrun his demons. Think of him as he was and think of his family and friends before you think about the politics! Also remember to not only pay attention to the to your own mental health but also to those that appear to be struggling. All it takes is one person noticing❤️‍🩹

DEPRESSION

Depression is a common and serious mental illness that negatively affects how you feel the way you think and how you act. It is a mood disorder. Depression causes feelings of sadness, low self-worth, guilt or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home. It differs from simple grief or mourning, which are appropriate emotional responses to the loss of loved persons or objects. Where there are clear grounds for a person’s unhappiness, depression is present if the depressed mood is disproportionately long or severe. Depression can have many causes. Unfavorable life events can increase a person’s vulnerability to depression or trigger a depressive episode. Negative thoughts about oneself and the world are also important in producing and maintaining depressive symptoms.
