Say, you wouldn't happen to have any interesting headcanons about your Witnessians, would you?

I have so many that I don't think I can parse what might be more interesting or not. So be as specific as you like!

From the beginning, I ran with the monolith + modest aesthetics of the design work from TWQ and assumed the Witness' origin race was somewhat modest, which was later backed up by the origins cutscene (I mean you are walking around in a desert, you need to cover your face), with the cowls/whether your neck is covered/length of robes/etc maybe denoting age or authoritative status in a post-Traveler/mid-utopia empire.

However, this evolved into more headcanons such as showing affection through exchanges rather than physical touch, which might have been born of some innate psychosomatic senses being amplified by proximity (+Veil) itself and thus being reserved only for very intimate relationships (hearing the other person in your head or feeling that they're hungry is not something you want to do all the time or with everybody) (or caregiver+offspring, as is expanded upon in some AU passages, and this being stronger in one individual).

Good question!

I think we all know that who you are in the dark Keith would be the front runner for looking most Galra. He's followed shortly after by abyss of memory Keith, galra prince Keith, burgundy Keith, and runaway paladin Keith. Then you've got desert born and MFE paladin AU Keith, and they're followed all of the 'mostly human but still visibly a little more Galra Keiths like anomalous point and flicker. Then lastly you've got your canon appearance Keiths, like the supernatural AU and the amnesiac blade AU.

(space human Keith, parallel reverse Keith and reality scramble Keith are outliers that will not be counted.)

(quintessence poisoning and ignis Keith have their own brand of fucked up going on as well.)

I've already learned some insane things just skimming all these family history things from my mom too, including that I almost certainly have a truly wild number of German third cousins I'd be genuinely interested in trying to get in touch with, that the portion of my mom's family nebulously from "Yugoslavia" (at the time) were definitely Croatian, which I suspected for linguistic reasons but had despaired of ever proving for sure because of... well... not a lot of info and also the nature of the Balkans, and that apparently when I was a year old I was sent a t-shirt by a German great-uncle who, about 50 years prior, had deserted from the army in WWII.
