Was absolutely unmotivated but ended up making an August cover with just the stuff I found around me. Handwritten is an excerpt from Stephen Hawking's final book "Brief Answers to the big questions", an absolutely amazing read IMO. Tried to make it depressy-vibey and kinda melancholic but I guess it ain't so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm chill as long as it looks good lol

P.S: I've been on a major slump so far and am quite a noob at BuJo-ing

30/100 days of productivity

it's been a month of productivity!!! I didn't do much today (as is the case with most days when I'm home) but I did compile my German notes into a fancy little excel sheet for better understanding. I also updated my bujo for the week (it's pink in honour of barbie xD).

In the evening, mum and I went to the mall to do some window shopping but eventually we got bored and just bought some groceries and returned home.

In addition to this, the people I emailed regarding my bioinformatics queries replied and their emails managed to ease my anxiety about the future while also giving me a lot of clarity. (and they're both so cool!!!)

Also, my favorite desi comedian is going on tour and he's performing in my city soon!! the show is quite expensive and it's only in November but I somehow managed to get the tickets!! ahhh I'm so excited, I really hope nothing comes up on that day

yep, thats how my day went, I'm really supposed to be doing my proteogenomics extra credit work but idk, there's there's much resistance around it, maybe I'll find a study partner to do it with hmm

*wipes a tear* my physics fear is coming back! These days are like a roller coaster, sometimes I'm really up in the high with all the concepts cleared and focused in what I'm doing and the other times I'm just about to burst in tears bc I can't solve a damn numerical! But I'm trying :) These are some random logs that I usually used to write in a separate diary but now I decided to integrate it in my journal itself!

@carmen-riddle posted her very pretty bullet journal and inspired me to post my ugly one.

This time I used a lined diary that my friend gifted me instead of buying a dotted one.

I don't have a cover page because I'm too scared of messing it up, and an index because I'm too lazy to make it now that I didn't leave any page for it.

1. The future log

This for me contains only school related or other important stuff. The next 6 months look the same.

2. A birthday spread

Because if I added birthdays in my future log there won't be space for anything else. This is when I realised the paper is thin. But I was too far gone at this point to buy another and start over.

3. Books and periods tracker

I intend to fill in the boxes with the assigned colour of the month so that I can see how much and how consistently I read. The ones that I've already filled in are the ones that I have at home or on laptop but haven't read yet.

I always had trouble remembering my dates and man does this make it easier.

4. A study schedule

Since I have my finals in May, I decided to make a schedule for it. You can see how bad I am at following it AND marking down the things that I DO complete. The whole month is not filled in because I've got preboards throughout this month. I've got similar spreads for Feb-Apr. This one is so simple because I didnt want to spend much time on it plus its supposed to be flexible and I also didn't want the ink from next month's spread spoiling my study schedule.

5. Sustainability goals

I want to try and be environmentally better this year. This are the only goals I set because like I said in an earlier posts, I'm bad at keeping one goal and following through with it the whole year. My goals gotta be specific and short-term. Ignore the handwriting, I was wearing gloves.

6. Brain dump

Its funny how my prettiest spread is literally the brain dump. I don't know why there's a cat. It was just the easiest doodle.

7. Review page

This is something I saw on Mistral Spirit's youtube channel and decided to go ahead with this. By the end of the year I don't remember a lot of stuff that happened, especially small ones. So I'll write anything big or anything that made me happy along with the date right when it happens.

8. Monthly spreads

Found a cool Harry Potter font on Pinterest and used it. The second page is me tracking my study and sleep time, which I'm clearly not happy with. The third page contains my favourite quote from my favourite movie, because I had a lot of empty space, which looks shit because I made it at 1 am and also because I have no artistic talent whatsoever. I won't tell you which line is for moods and which for screen time. Have fun guessing.

The whole point of this post was to convince everyone that a bullet journal is supposed make your life organised and easier. Last year my bullet journal was perfectly planned and as artistic as I could make it. This year its a bunch of pages that I'm gonna need to use to keep up to track with my life. Lesson learnt in a year.

Did a full 180, crazy

I don't know where to begin.. perhaps the beginning of the day is more apt. I got to wake up late and catch up with my lost sleep, be lazy since my classes were cancelled, and even go on a long walk. It was very sunny (did not switch on the light for picture) unlike the gloomy week so far and I read/ took notes as I basked and fawned over my new plant child. I now have 2 desk plant - a cactus and a Devil’s ivy/ money plant ( Epipremnums sp).

A little later, I decided to scroll down into oblivion when I realized that I couldn't log in to my studygram - where I posted about most of college. It was a fun place .Long story short, it is a closed chapter. So I decided to move on to a new chapter and began gradschoollog as a new facet

I managed to finish a little more of my image analysis but fell asleep midway at 2am before I decided to go to bed. I’ll try to get it finished on my way in the car, if I can manage to. I’m being asked to go to family thing 10 hours away and I have no way out.

INT. THE CITY OF DJINNS - FEBRUARY 2022

Time flies. It's February already, it was just another February wasn't it? We got a marvelous pink cake for mom's birthday. I went out to see the city so much. I took walks. I took pictures.

I sat and read. Last year I read around 30 books, this year I'm still reading the first one. I wouldn't have it any other way. My approach to studying has been incomplete till now. But now, I start once again. This time, for me and only me.

notion setup for the new term

I have four courses this trimester, design thinking, philosophical perspectives across cultures, written and oral communication and exploring the social and historical. The notion setup is divided into four colors with different moodboards that suit the course aesthetic. I have adopted notion in some new ways this year like class logs to keep a record of my notes and readings. I am honestly really excited for all the courses, especially exploring the social and historical.
